I found a cousin told him about the heart issue , he made an appointment for doctor , died the night before . My aunt went in hospital for a minor surgery, died before the next day surgery. I am only still alive because I have had 4 surgeries because I found out in time to have the surgery, I had the sweats in dead of winter started cussing my husband out had a ER Dr that was smarter than the average bear ..he did a CT. THEN PUT ME UNDER . 10 blockages. 5wy bypass. From 99 to 84 % I pray my siblings are found out in time . Surgery are in thier 50's to 55 . Only because I cussed my husband out. Thank god

The mother in the first story did the right thing for herself and her daughter, and I commend her husband for adopting the daughter. And I feel sorry for the mother who, as a 16 year old, understandably did not know the best decisions to make. I am not sure how old the lifeguard was, but he may have been immature. It is interesting that he apparently never got married. Even though he became a minister, maybe he never really grew up. And I will also throw this in. I hope that we never go back to being a society where we hide girls away and force them to have children in secret in order to preserve a family's sense of honor. And I hope we always remain a society where people forgive instead of condemn people for their youthful mistakes. The mother picked a kind and honorable man to be her husband and her daughter's father.

Oh my Lord. How AWFUL! I have told my children NOT to EVER buy me a DNA kit as I wouldn't use it. I advised them, they're all adults, NOT TO also. See I KNOW they're are skeletons in the closet and my dad is 80 now and may pass soon. My mothers been gone for 17 years, cancer, but my grandparents told me of catching my father in an "intimate embrace" when he was with my mother and I don't know definitely if kin were created that I'm not aware of. There's other stuff too but I won't share it. Sometimes it's best to let bygones be bygones. But your poor Pa! And his adoptive parents NEVER said a thing! I have to say I wonder if his birth mother or both biological parents wondered what happened to their son. That would have been the war years when your daughters dad was conceived. Maybe a young woman listened to the vacant promises of a man in uniform who then left her with a "parting gift" Makes me feel sad all round for y'all!

@not_today_satan_7
@not_today_satan_7 4 года назад
@@ASartori86 it's actually a very interesting and kind of sad story. You are right it was during wwII. My daughter's dad was actually born on D Day June 6 1944. Through the dna and ancestry I was able to find out who his birth parents were. They had both passed away as did the people who raised him. But their were enough people still alive that we were able to build most of his story. His birth parents were married. I guess during the war if you weren't in the war you worked for the war . so both couples not knowing the other ended up in California working at the shipyard in Richmond calif. Both of his bio parents were on their second marriages. His bio mom had 3 children by her first husband. The parents who raised him were unable to have children of their own. The story is and I've never been able to find record of this is that his bio father was in jail or prison the rest if the story has been confirmed. and the bio mom told him that she had had a miscarriage . but that was a lie. She checked into the hospital under the lady who raised him name gave birth and when discharged gave him to that couple . no adoption and the bio father never knew he had a son. His bio parents divorced and she went on to marry several more times and have 2 more children with 2 of those husbands. Many family members on both sides knew the truth. But my ex never knew until last year. We were told by the two 1/2 sisters who were born after he was given away that at each of their births their mom prayed for a boy and was inconsolable when they were born and were girls. So I think yes she thought of him and wanted a boy so badly to make up for giving her sin away. His bio mom passed in 2013. Only a few years ago. He wishes he could have met her.

France recently stopped allowing commercial DNA testing because of this. A year ago I took a DNA test hoping to discover my African roots. I found those out, but I also found out the the dad I've known all my life was not my biological father, and that none of my six siblings were related to me. I go back and forth about my feelings and I wish I has never found out. I have no idea who my biological father is, I didn't have any close matches and have been searching for a year. My mom died when I was 10, my dad died in 2014. He was there when I was born and signed my birth certificate. I am grateful that he apparently never knew. I was a daddy's girl for the 38 years that I had him. While he was my father and I told my siblings that ar 43 I'm too old to start over and they're stuck with me I am still hoping to find out who my biological father is. I feel like I don't know who I am anymore. I had a wonderful stepmother and her family accepted me as one of their own, but not knowing anything about my mother made me feel as if a piece was missing. Knowing my dad and his family made me feel that I was connected. And now I truly feel lost. It was hard for my son also, his cousins are more like his siblings and he also feels the disconnect. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to go through in my life. 8 years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and that was nothing compared to this. Unlike many others I am not angry or bitter about this, just sad. My daddy's ashes are still on my mantel and my son still wears his grandpa's hat and cologne to feel close to him. He was my father. Nothing can erase that. But it hurts to find out the truth

Now you know the biological truth. You are not alone because you are loved by your family whether it was by choice or happenstance. Accept that, thank God for that, and keep loving how you were loved. Love is that unbreakable bond and is stronger than biology. We've seen it countless times. Families and lives get ripped apart just because someone "was just waiting for the right time," or "didn't know how to tell". Our daughter, who we adopted in her infancy, had some assistance with her bio family search. She reached out to a woman who she thought might be her half-sister. Sure enough DNA verified and our daughter is now very close to her older half-sister and is building relationships with 2 half-brothers. Our family is growing. I can't wait to meet them. I have been building a long distance "BONUS MOM" relationship with the sister. On the other hand, my cousin recently discovered her father was not her birth-father. Sperm donors are important too, there lots of laws changing the attitudes towards their identities worldwide, medically it's important, and many children want to find their genetic parents. Sorry the feminist idea of not needed men or children having or knowing their fathers isn't fool proof. In my opinion the science experiment should stop, young men who can't make rational long-term choices are exploited many have admitted to being very young and in need of quick cash, millions of dollars are made off men and women now, children feel the effects that we are just now learning to document and take into account. DNA test are exposing this long shrouded unfair practice. I feel it should stop.

I was adopted at birth. I started looking for my birth mother when I turned 18 but the court system did everything they could to put red tape in the way. At 36 I FINALLY found my biological mothers family via the 23 & me DNA test: I found them 7 months after she died of brain cancer. She also believed the wrong man was my father. There is no way my father is the guy she swore to everyone was my father. 0% relation. I may never know who my father is. Red tape kept me from knowing her...even though we had BOTH been trying to be reunited since I turned 18.

I think that some don't know and others made what they thought was the best choice at the time. My son knows who his father is but I have made other decisions that may or may not have been the best ones for my son. As parents we are responsible for our children and I think that we try to do the best by them. No one could have known years ago that there would be day be commercially available genetic testing that would cause issues when some of us find out secrets that have been kept for so long. I'm not angry with my mom. I have no idea if she suspected that my dad wasn't my biological parent. Both of my parents were heroin addicts and my mother was a prostitute. I'm disappointed to learn the truth but I'm glad that she chose to give me life and a good family who loved me dearly.

I'm really sorry for Anna Marie. Just because her mother was untruthful she never got the chance to meet her biological father. You should not lie about something, that affects another person's life, too. That's a secret that is not yours alone to keep. Children deserve honesty (as gentle and age-appropriate as possible), no matter if we are ashamed or whatever.

Breaks my heart that she never got to meet her birth dad 💔 I did ancestry eight years ago. In 2019 a man contacted me as a first cousin. Turns out he was my half brother! My whole life I always felt like I had a brother somewhere. We text almost every day ❤ I finally got my brother and father to talk on the phone. They were both extremely nervous. My father never knew about him. It's sad because a lot of year's have passed. I really hope they can meet in person soon ❤

@@scarrysherry67 . It cost me around $59.00 each. I bought two kits and got another one free from Ancestry.com.. You get a little box with instructions and a little test tube for to put your saliva in. You seal the box they give you. Then you send it back to them. About three weeks later the results come up on Ancestry. Com. It is an awesome experience. Let me know what you find out about you...please.

I'm confused, on her bio fathers tombstone says, "Father and Son", but they said he never knew he had a her and he never got married. So did he have known other children? What 'moms' 'boss' and the mom did is despicable. She screws around for years and lays the responsibilities of raising the useless mans kids gets off scott free. Bio dad is pathetic as is the mom. The betrayed 'real' dad is a real man.

That was so wrong. She had a right to know the truth. I was in a similar position. My first husband divorced me because I had a girl.. I moved to California and met and married a wonderful man. He was a homicide detective. And he fell in love with my baby. Anyone can father a child but it takes someone really special to be a daddy. We told her about everything. I took her home every summer so she could know her biological father. She didn't like him very well. Today my daughter is 39 and her daddy lives with her and her family. He lost both of his legs to diabetes 2 years ago. And to this day he will always be her dad.

My half sister was my other (full) sister's sister in law for 10 years. No one knew. (They had both married brothers of the same family). My dad had the affair. The truth came out when my half sister's mother was going to die. My 90 year old mom (who was the one cheated on-my dad long since passed on) threw a party for my new sister . Through Ancestry.com's testing, we found out that 3 of my dad's first cousins were actually half siblings. These were children of my grandmother's brother's wife... to this day, nobody openly talks about it, but now most of the next generation know because you can't hide DNA results. If you're confused as to why something is different than you thought, don't immediately start blaming the DNA testing company... it's almost always something other than a bad DNA test. The sad part is that my dad had a half sister & she would've been the only blood-related aunt that I have on either side of the family, but I never got to know here as she passed away already.
