Nice review. I really loved the structure of this novel. 🌳👍

This was a great review. It's super interesting to hear about the approach the author took and although I'm not usually that bothered about generational sagas I think the idea of having the apocalyptic backdrop whilst you're finding out the families secrets bit by bit is a genius concept. I like the idea that the author stuck with having trees be a constant motif throughout the family history. The fact that they all have their own values and view points on what trees mean to them is really cool. Cheers for sharing this review my friend, hope you and the family are doing well :)

I have had the book on my shelf for a while and it seem intimidating on its length and the storylines span of time but I think you have put it into a perspective that makes it more compelling to pick up. Thanks as always for your thorough reviews.

There are so many parts to this novel! The handyman falling alone and the violin part stick out to me most, in retrospect... ❤
