I love your variety in this video!!! I've got to get to Being Mortal, Immense World and Greenwood too (although I had no idea it was marketed as apocalyptical, I always got generational vibes). Stories of your Life and Others was amazing. Hell is the Absence of God was definitely my favorite story from the collection. I am dying for a full length novel from Ted Chiang!

Melissa, thanks for sharing your passion! I also loved Year of the Flood, Greenwood, My Fourth Time We Drowned, Why Fish Don’t Exist, Being Mortal, and An Immense World. I’m also a Maria Bamford fan. I need to pick up Ted Chiang’s collection based on your recommendation.

I started An Immense World in audio and I couldn’t get into it. But I’m going to go back. I’ve got a copy of Being Mortal with my legal documents and I have suggested both of my daughters read it. I’m waiting on Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult from my library. Great wrap up.

I love hearing about great non-fiction books. Even though I read more fiction books, it’s the non-fiction books that tend to get 5⭐️ from me.
