I found your videos towards the beginning of the school year. My 3rd graders love that they can learn a new language and also practice it when they have to be quiet. It has been a wonderful blessing just in my own classroom. Thank you for your work!!!
Thank you for teaching ASL. I have a cousin and a few friends who are deaf. Being able to communicate with them and make friends in the deaf community really means a lot ❤
I am a hearing dad, and my family is as well, but my daughter became interested and would use these signs around the house! We all practise using them now! Thank you so much!
I started off wanting to know a few sign language sentences to help communicate to the deaf at my retail job and now I just want to know more. Your videos are very helpful. When you describe as you do the sign it makes it easier for me.
Yes I love the way she learns you how to speak ASL I have dating a lady that cannot talk in here and I am trying to learn it so I can communicate with her better I have learned a good bit and I really appreciate what you have I truly love this lady and I really want to learn how to
I took ASL in college for 4 years but I have no one to practice with. This is a great refresher way to learn. Thank you so much and grateful for your positive attitude
Hi! Would be great if you added a review in the end... with a slight pause after each word so we can try to sign back and see if we remembered correctly.
Thank you for taking time out to teach. I am a slow learner when it comes to ASL. You make it so easy to remember and I love that you have sentences at the end.
Wooow!!!! Soy interprete de Lengua de señas Argentina. Hace 4 meses que vivo en USA y estos videos me ayudan mucho a aprender inglés y las señas de ASL . I'm Happy!!!!
Omg just found this channel! I have 14 weeks old baby and trying to learn sign language to teach him! We will be watching your videos and practicing every morning! Thank you 🫶🏻🤍
I love learning from another ASL expert! It's really helpful because sometimes I forget how to say some things when I'm teaching ASL to my viewers and I always turn to Learn How to Sign.
Just discovered this channel! My nephew is hard of hearing and I've been interested in learning so I will be using this channel and try to teach it too my 2 boys as they grow up :)
Hace poco descubrí el canal y me encanta. Soy intérprete de lengua de señas cubana pero estoy muy interesado en aprender el ASL y gracias a este canal e logrado mi sueño
thank you sooo much. these are perfect. i appreciate you slowing them down, the variety of colors, clips, and compilations. i watch a video each morning. children watch them throughout the day. thank you and your family for these great quality videos
I'm really trying to get this, thank god I can keep watch it over and over again or pause at the same time I want to teach my 8th month old son. I feel like this shld be taught in schools right alng in English classes.
Kudos to this channel and the creators!!! I am so thankful for this channel and the content being created. Since I started learning ASL I've even started showing my students what I'm learning as well. P. S. I noticed at 1:43 the text showing the word being signed is not correct - it reads "replace this text" when it should read "grandfather".
This is so valuable to me! Thank you! If you have had a neighbor or friend , loved one, ever, or known someone that is deaf, you know the yearning for communication. Everyone can benefit by learning this. I think kids could learn it in school and it would help with communication skills in ineffable ways.
My dream is to go back at school to learn more about deaf people, but am practicing, so that wen I go back to study that course wen its not hard for me thanks , for the great work your doing , 😊🙂
I appreciate your ASL video. Friend in ASL means battling / bad friend in Japanese sign language. Very interesting, isn't it? Probably because Samurais used to battle with enemies with Katana swords.
Just found your videos. Hoping to learn and understand sign fluently and teach my family as well. Love the way you teach, please keep the videos coming we have so much to learn. You have a new subscriber. 😀😊
I come too late to you channel , love the 2wy you teach, such a great smile and beautiful inside out. It's been only 4 days since I'm learning I already learn so much Thank you sis By the way I'm learning from you all the way from Haiti
when i was younger, i used to not be able to talk, so i had to use sign language. luckily, ive gained the ability to and i conversate normally. its been a long time since then, so i’ve forgotten how to sign, i guess i want to re-learn, for myself and those around ,e.
Please show the sign also from the side view. P.s. love your channel. Most of my knowledge about asl is from channel.my favorites are the sentences at the end, that's so helpful to remember
When my mom and I have to talk to each other quietly, or in separate rooms and we can't hear each other, we use signs like more, out, all done, please, sorry, wait, bathroom and more :D it really helps
I meet my boyfriend in online dating and he's deaf I study sign language to understand him but I want to improve more can you make more of How to use it in sentence videos it'll be very helpful thank you so much 😊
Just came across this the other day. Subscribe! Great teaching, the slow down is great. Just FYI it says “Replace Text Here” for grandfather :). Also, can you add son and daughter? I’ll search your channel for it in the meantime. Keep up the good work!!
What? No love for the cousins? Where's my grandson???? Ok , I'm sure I will find those signs in another of your videos. I just subscribed because your signing is so clear, and I love your explanations of the signs. Cant wait to search all your videos.
hello, I'm a beginner and very hard of hearing. can you tell me the sign for grandchildren i.e. grandson/daughter. Thank you for your contribution to the deaf community.
I'm deaf in one ear and having problems with my other ear. I keep hearing like a ringing noise in my good ear. Sometimes I can't hear anything at all in my good ear. I'm trying to learn beginners ASL. I'm trying to learn as much American Sign Language as I possibly can. So if I completely go deaf in my good ear. I still want to be able to communicate with others even though I'm hard of hearing. Do you have any suggestions on beginners ASL books that I can buy to learn even more?
I have Ménière’s disease in my only hearing ear. Deaf in my other ear from childhood. Ringing in ear also with episodes of vertigo. You sound just like me. Have you been diagnosed with Ménière’s?
@@charisfitchett5703 I get a ringing sound in my ear or like a little buzzing sound. Tendonitis isn't fun and in my other ear I'm completely deaf. People will be talking to me sometimes and I have no idea what they are saying to me because I can't hear them. Or they keep saying my name and I don't respond at all because I can't hear them at all. So I had to tell a few people I know. If I don't respond to you when you are trying to talk to me just very gently tap me on my arm. I don't want people I don't know coming up to me in public and putting their hands on me at all. I'm talking about a very few friends taping me to get my attention because I'm completely deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in my other ear. It's mentally exhausting when everyone is talking at the same time in a room and it's not really a quiet environment or if more than one person at a time is trying to talk to me all at the same time. I can't understand or hear what their saying to me or trying to tell me.
ok so... I'm confused. The one part where you said that your grandmother was 87... how was that 87? please explain. :) I ran into your videos searching for some things to give me a head start... I start ASL next month (fall semester) and I needed a refresher on the basics. I took it in 2019 but never really get a chance to use it so I forgot most of it. I would like to say I like this channel so far. I have watched 2 videos this one being the second and I live how easy it is to pick it up. I learned 50 words in under 20 minutes. With your videos and ASL I should be fluent in no time!!! please keep doing these videos you rock! PS Yes I am going to test myself and move on to the third video!! :)
