Family Trip to China 

We took our first big trip together as a family to China last year in November! We visited Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and a few other cities.. & since it's been a year, I don't remember all the names of the places we visited. Hmmm..I should really start writing down the names of the places I visit if I'm trying to keep a journal about it - right? Anyways, we've never been to China before and the dialect is definitely different than the Chinese we speak back at home in the states. We had a hard time getting around and communicating with the drivers but other than that - the architecture, culture and food was pretty amazing. I would have to say though that I prefer the Chinese food back at home. BUTTT what was really good was their KFC and McDonalds. For some reason, western fast food joints just tastes SO MUCH BETTER overseas...like why?! Anyways, the best part of this trip was when my mom walked into a pond at the market. I can never forget it... I was so scared and immediately pulled her out, and the she asked me why didn't I catch it on camera and was laughing about her clumsiness. She ended up buying some furry house slippers and wore that the rest of our night out. She didn't let that ruin her night and made it memorable for everyone. Love you mother!
