Stay here in Paso Robles, California! We brought out kids to wine country and had the best time, mostly because we loved our Tuscan style resort. Yes kids and wine country do work well together if you plan it right! Set right on a vineyard, Allegretto is perfect for families. They have a pool and hot tub, lawn games, goats and sheep that you can feed anytime you want -- plus so much space! We appreciated the free bikes and lots of interesting zodiac gardens and space for exploring.
In the evenings, the pink glow on the resort is magical. We loved sitting by a firepit with wine while our kids played in the stunning, manicured courtyard. It felt like we were in Europe!
Our Queen Terrazza room was perfect, especially with the pull out couch, the mini fridge and large bathroom, where we put our young son's pack and play. The outdoor patio was great for easy access. Be sure to request ground floor if you have littles.
The food was outstanding--we highly recommend Cello for dinner or breakfast, even if you aren't staying here.
Spa Allegretto is a treat as well. This is your ideal wine country retreat!
