Me too i think pyasa and kagaz ke phool were classic and Rafi's songs took it to the next level mr Dutt was ahead of time but the indian audience never respected that. i watch It whenever i have time no a fan of bollywood now.

Waheedaji is one of the most talented actress of our film Industry. She not only earned very good name in film industry by acting. She proved herself a marvellous dancer and never ever took resort to vulgarity or indecency to reach such a great height in Bollywood. So graceful and polite. Today's talentless actresses has to learn a lot from this decent talented artiste. Performance in some of the movies like Guide, Kagaj Ke phool, Pyasa , Saheb bibi aur Gulam will never be forgotten by the viewers.
Gurudutt was one of the very talented artists and great directors of that time. While his films like Pyassa, Kagaz ke phool, Chaduvin ke Chand, Sahib Bibi our Gulam shown his class, Mr. and Mrs. 55, Aar Paar, 24 Hours, Southele bhai etc shown lighter moments of life. Guruduttji holds a very enviable position in Hindi and Indian film industry.
I love how emotions are portrayed in the movie. Two people missing love in their life’s come together. But circumstances does not allow them the together..You end up crying when you see how they long for each other and care for each other.. the beautiful music and acting made it a great film,
I totally agree, during the song 'waqt ne kiya haseen sitam' , it was well read in eyes of waheeda ji and guru dutt that how immensely both are in love, but yet due to age gap and dutt being separated is not letting them to unite. The pain can be quite deeply felt as it tells you that sometimes soulmates are helpless due to such societies so called norms, i wonder how Warida ji act so naturally at the age of 18 years , hats off 🙏🙏🙏

Chaudahvi ka chand... Kala bazar... Solahva saal... Bees saal baad... Ram aur shyam... Teesri kasam... Khamoshi... Guide... Saheb biwi aur Gulam... Nilkamal... All movies are superb to watch till date... I have watched all these great movies only because of her... So calm in nature... So polite and obedient actress... As well great dancer of that time... Plus versatile acting performances... She did all... She deserves more than what she get today... Love 😍 her...
Nutan was not a good actress, see her movie and observe, you will find that see had portrayed woman as slave of man and advertised putra janma, wiase adhikansh hero-heroinen putra janma ko hi barhawa dete hue dikhai dete hain. Kai purani heroinen jaise Nutan, Sharmila Tagore, Rakhi, Nirupa Rai etc. strivirodhi vichardhara wali thi usko sirf heruon ki maa ka role karna achha lagta tha. Ye heroinen mere liye bilkul bhi aadarniya nahin hain. Achha hua ki ye ghatiya heroins mere Divya Bharti Ji ki maa ka role nahin kiya.
I have not heard any other Hindi film heroin with such an indeapth knowledge about almost all departments of film making. She is so poised so much at ease answering all sorts of questions. She is so charming and beautiful. No wonder she was respected so very much,

What to say about you! Your Mastery over Direction, Mastery over Acting, Mastery over the ART! MUSIC (ESPECIALLY THE HEART OF THIS CLASSIC, "Chute sabhi baari baari"), PERFORMANCES(Of every VISIONARY involved in this Beautiful Art piece, but which really made me their Fan are Waheeda Mam, Guru dutt Ji and Johny Walker sir!) EDITING, SCRIPT(WON MY HEART!!), Epic- Way ahead CINEMATOGRAPHY with technical brillaince AND THE DIRECTION!!!! EVERYTHING IS SOMETHING TRULY PHENOMENAL.. it strikes right to the heart and though some people might feel it gets a bit slow in the middle but Trust me, it takes a TREMENDOUS UPLIFT towards the Climax.. Same. When I first saw pyasa I became fan of Gurudatta Sir. Until now he is my favorite director. No one could beat him. Watching a pyasa movie was indeed a different experience for me. Every scene give us a different feeling. I feel so lucky that I have watched this movie.

Mai aapke is interview ki prasansha karta hoon. Waheeda rehman ji ne apne pure filmy jeevan aur niji jeevan mein hamesha apne mata peeta. Nritya guru dwara diye gaye sanskaron ko apne seene se lagaye rakha hai aiha mera manana hai. Mai unke pure vyaktitwa ko pranam karta hoon. Behad shaleen. Graceful mahila hain. Apke is prastut karyakram ke liye Mai aapko sadhuwad deta hoon. Bahut bahut dhanyawad.
I loved Kaagaz ke phool very much as a young girl, unfortunately, this movie failed on box office same as Mera Naam Joker Both these movies were made before time as they say, sadly

She didnt want to say that there were autobiographical touches in the movie...The fact that he was vacillating between his wife and children on the one hand and his infatuation with Waheeda and his seeking solace in drink !
