@PhoebeBushbaby I also love the '50s feel in the series! Unfortunately, your videos are the only way I can watch this, so thank you very much for uploading these!
Just to watch the Swedish dub of this, man, what a nostalgia trip. Love this. In the Swedish dub though, Julians and Dicks voices were a bit darker and more mature, so these squeaky voices slightly annoy me but I'll get used to it, hehe. Thanks for uploading.
Apparently all the books have been rewritten in modern language now, I was just reading about that in the newspaper today and it reminded me I used to watch this series and loved it. Thanks for uploading, I love being able to rewatch some of my fav programmes as a kid!
Thank you so much! I was looking for these but with no luck. The only time I get to see it is if they show reruns of the dubbed version on our local TV channel!
Yes it is five go off to camp. These books were my childhood! My mum read them when she was young, and she read them to me as well. I am now 16 and have got to have read the entire series at least 5 times :) they bring back so many amazing memories of when I was little
Oh wow... When I was 6 - 7 I used to watch a cassette of this series everyday after school....and never missed it when it was on tv + reruns... Now im going on 20...
When I was a kid my father told me about this series and sice he's really good at telling stories I went down to the library(once in a lifetime) and borrowed some famous five books. Famous five reminds me of my childhood :)
i have never read a enid blyton book because i thought it would be boring but a few days ago i started to read it and i could not put it down im so glad the series are like the books
Yes, I prefer this one too because they stuck to the books rather than trying to modernize it. That's part of the magic about Enid Blyton for me, the time and setting.
This used to be on CITV. I really dont understand why they dont have shows like this on for kids anymore. I LOVED them. Nothing gets aired anymore unless the main characters have ADD :(
Is there anyway to number these so it’s easier to access them I haven’t seen only a couple that go together I really appreciate it I love these types of series and yes I’m an American
@georgekirrin5 They're from the mid-190s. I used to watch them when I was younger and loved them, so I started looking for them on DVD and found a copy from Holland (I think). I'm glad you're enjoying them.
@mrpolarordinoid123 Jemima Rooper (George) is the only one who is really still acting. Marco WIlliamson (Julian) is more interested in directing/producing/writing these days (search for My Amersham on youtube and watch the first result to see his work). Paul Child (Dick) now plays the guitar and is an aspiring musician. Laura Petela (Anne) is a sales and events coator in Bristol.
@3245james when did they show this anyway i find the book one day i asked my mum to read it to me i loved the story soo much just like 2 weeks a go rember the book but can't find it anywere since i don't live in u.k anymore my sister comeing to u.s in few days i asked her to buy me the book
@georgekirrin5 old? what u mean? its portraying the 1950s, but its filmed in the 1990s its a bit childish and maybe not like a 2 billion dollar budget. But I think its good =)
i wonder where are they now. only Jemima is still acting and very popular, but i've seen them following each other on twitter (Dick, Anne and George) i suppose they're still friends
