it includes software silly (which last i checked isn't free to design and devlop -- i know that because that's my profession :) also, i'm pretty sure a regular phone holder isn't much of a chess clock. i tried using the one on my car dash and it didn't do anything.
So, tempest clock isn't a clock? It's just a phone holder + mobile app? In my experience, apps (phones) are terrible for chess clocks (disruptions/notifications).
Good point, but I saw another review that made a great suggestion, and that is to use an old phone so you don't have to take the phone out of the holder or even remove the phone's case. Probably need to switch the sim card once to get the app onto the old phone, then switch it back to your real phone.
regardless of which clock someone's using i wont' play with them if they're on their phones or their phone is on the table ringing / getting texts ... airplane mode applies as much for tempest clock as for others. silence that sucker and focus on the game! one button: ✈mode
LOL, "as important as the chess board itself, although you can play blindfolded" LOL you are lightyears ahead of your audience. I appreciate you over estimating my skills, but playing blindfolded is limited to a very small % of players.
