Hey Scott, first I love all your videos. I wanted to say that I grew up with Brittany. We went to school together for 8 years, did school plays and musicals together, sang with her, and when I was I. 7th grade and she was in 6th we “dated” for a few months. We stayed close even after she went to Hollyweird. She came back to Edison a month after 8 Mile was released in 2002 and she was the special guest for the Edison, NJ Xmas tree lighting ceremony. We hadn’t spoken for a couple of years, but as soon as she saw me, she ran up to me and gave me a huge hug (to the shock of my wife lol) and after introductions were made, she would not let go of my 2 children who were 2yrs old and 3 months old at the time. She absolutely adored children and she wouldn’t let them go. It was such a wonderful time and she made my kids feel like they were the only thing that mattered that night. On the day she passed away, Sharon (her mom) called my mom after she was pronounced and my mom immediately called me. I was working for Comcast, and she told me what happened and I was crushed. We were going to fly to the west coast for her funeral but it was on Xmas eve, so we just couldn’t make it happen that short of notice. Sadly, 9 years later to that exact day, 12/20/2018, my own mom passed away, so it’s been hard the last couple of years getting through 12/20. Brittany was a loving, funny, smart, talented girl with a giggle and a laugh that could put you into a trance. Thank you for making this Video Scott. Great work as always.
@@SCOTTONTAPE OMG I’m geeking out right now!!!! What an honor that you replied. If I can figure out how to do it, I’ll try to rip a couple of the plays that we did together when we were young and get them to you somehow. Please keep up the great work, and next time you are in NJ. I wish I knew when u were visiting Dudley Moores Grave, I used to love like 15 minutes from the cemetery. Anyway, thank you for all the awesome content and I can’t wait to see what comes next. If you have any questions about Brittany when she was younger, I’ll answer what I can.
@@truthseek3017 I would love to believe this.. but since it's been so long... And there aren't any more messages... I have to lean on your side... It's sad... She was such a beautiful woman.. I pray one day someone actually comes out publicly with that kind of stuff and information about her earlier years..
So heartbreaking . So cool you knew her. She is such a beautiful kind loving talented woman~ she would of made an amazing mom. So sad . The world misses her smile and movies.
Brittany is one of the lucky few that can be referred to as “ethereally beautiful”… she will always be young, she will always be beautiful, but I wish she could have stayed a little longer…
Hi there Cement Shoes, I’m glad your a fan of Scott on Tape. I just found him from Grimm Life Collective. Brittany so young/pretty. Her death is a huge mystery. GTSY!
Thank you Scott , your so kind , not to forget this beautiful actress who is still missed , thank you for visiting her grave and her husband ‘s …. Rest In Peace both Brittany and Simon, now your both together for eternity. Thank you Scott
Brittany imo was a generational Marilyn Monroe. Beautiful, witty, smarter than most would assume. One could only imagine what life would hold for her today. Still missing her.
Such a strange coincidence that she and her husband would die the same way. She was a wonderful person and an awesome actress. Loved her movies. RIP Brittany and Simon.
@@junglecat6966 Kept hearing a lot of possible toxic mold in the home, Which would make perfect sense of why both she and her husband died the in the exact same matter. And makes total sense in why they would tear the house down and rebuild it.
What a beautiful tribute Scott. People don't understand how deadly, deadly pneumonia is. It doesn't matter if you're young and healthy. You can't fight it or see it as 'the flu' or 'a cold'. Once you have it, it can take you down in a matter of days or hours. Thank you for making it clear as the main reasons for her death. Maybe people will become more aware~
im having pneumonia right now.. im having antibiotics, and yes i feel this disease can be life threatening.. thank goodness i got this very fast, and went to the doctor with it, but the thing with Brittany also is, she apparantly and likely had black mold inside her house.. which is something u shouldnt overlook at. in combination with pneumonia is killing
Oh man... I love her so much. I was devastated when she passed away... she was one of the first artists who's passing really impacted me. It just shouldn't have happened... Thank you for this, Scott. I appreciate what you do.
What makes your video a refreshing difference from all of the other Brittany Murphy tribute videos is that it is more substantive than style. There is a heart-felt sincerity to your presentation. Brittany had a great smile, but her eyes were captivating. I plan to visit her grave on her birthday and pay my respects. Thank you so much. Stay safe and be well.
I’ve always thought from day 1 that there’s more to this story. Did her husband have a thing for her mom. Brittany was a once in a lifetime actress with her laugh and smile and seriousness
My best friend was obsessed with Alicia Silverstone and made me watch Clueless when it came out on video. I saw Brittany and thought to myself, "Damn, she's cute!"
I loved Brittany and her movies. She was a beautiful young actress. It was shocking and heartbreaking when she passed. Rest in Peace Brittany and Simon.
She was an absolutely beautiful comedic actress. She was outstanding in 8 mile as well. So sad. It felt like “Clueless” came out yesterday. 😞 Scott, be safe in your travels
When I heard the details on her passing I believed. I got sick with pneumonia, I had an infection, I went downhill fast, like in hours I was in septic shock and spent a long time recovering. I almost passed. Rest In peace.
Gawd Scott the music you played during your approach to the cemetery made this especially emotional. What a truly sad story. May you both RiP. Thanks you Scott for what you do!!
Just my two cents but i feel like her life took a turn for the worse once she married that man. He seemed so wrong for her in so many ways. I’ve read many accounts of people who knew him who say he was extremely manipulative and a con artist. To top it off apparently him and her mother admitted to sleeping in the same bed together after Brittany passed. I’ve always felt both the husband and the mother were extremely suspect.
@@BlackRainbow84 Poor woman. She always seemed so fragile and it looks like people around her took advantage of that. She had so much more life to live.
Simon Monjack was a scumbag, and manipulator, and the very fact that he is buried with Brittany makes me sick. But that’s my humble opinion. Sharon loved Brittany more than anything in life. She had nothing to do with her passing.
I just read an article in People magazine, where his ex-wife said she went through hell. He was a pathological liar, very controlling, also left her when she was 4 months pregnant.
I went up to see her grave in 2019. For some reason - I couldn't stop crying when I was at her grave (which -never- happens to me..) .. Such a tragic loss.
She was so young, funny, a great actress and beautiful. Sad it ended to short for her but glad she left her mark in this world we all live in. Her memory Carries on
You are such a caring and respectful person Scott. Especially when it comes to those who went before us. I loved Brittany Murphy and her films. Especially in 8 Mile. Thank you so much for doing this video as always. I look forward to getting notifications from you every day. Safe travels as always my friend. Peace out ✌️
I cant believe shes been gone that long already! Another great role she did was in the independent film SPUN. She was an incredible actor without a doubt. She is truly missed R.I.P. 👼
Scott, your content is spot on. Meaning you tend to do videos on interesting and sometimes forgotten people. Also your editing and music choices have been spot on. Keep being you. I enjoy your vids more and more every day.
I remember conflicting reports when Brittany Murphy died, how horrible that was for her mother, just losing her daughter. Her mother stepped up about her daughter's death though. It was very sad seeing her grave, such a beautiful young person. It was very sad seeing her husband's grave, both young people. Resting In Peace for both.
I am from India, I spent my teenage watching Hollywood movies and never I could imagine my life without those exemplary movies and the brilliant acting of those fantastic actors and actresses. Incomparable to the class and quality of the movies, those movies are one of those few elements that made my life complete. She was one of my favourite actresses whose pure heavenly smile used to purify my soul. This video brought tears in my eyes..
I was saddened with her passing, she was a very good actress and loving person, so much energy! But shame on the person that didnt help save her! She was so young and just looking to be loved! Thank you for showing this video!
Thank you for this wonderful video. After I’ve become ill with with mycotoxin poisoning from mold I understand what both Brittney’s went through. You do get hallucinations and a strange feeling of your home that’s contaminated. There were three of us living in a moldy home for 9 years. We all had a huge list of symptoms, some different than each others and some similar. My son’s symptoms are very similar to Brittney Murphy with the sunken black circle eyes, collapsing, difficulty breathing. I had hallucinations, nose bleeds, brain fog, loss of hair, anxiety and depression. Daughter had sever yeast infections, heart issues, extreme weight loss and gut issues and so much more. Mycotoxins breaks down your immune system and completely weakens you. You appear drunk or on drugs. I 100 percent believe all three, both Brittney’s and Simon were poisoned from MYCOTOXINS from molds like Aspergillus and Stachybotrys chartarum that grow in water damaged buildings. The metals found in the autopsy are the same metals found in people with mycotoxin illness. Mycotoxins also cause anemia. Both Brittany and Simon’s parents were spot on when they said mold was the cause of their deaths. Hopefully mold will be understood and recognized like lead, radon and asbestos.
She has such presence onscreen. I remember hearing about her passing and being so shocked and shaken. I would watch anything that she was in...she was so versatile...comedy..drama. She was an exceptional actress. I have her song with Paul Okenfold on my fave playlist.."Faster Kill Pussycat"...when it plays I always smile. She had a great voice. If youve never heard it then check it out. RIP Britt
Brittany was such a beautiful and spunky soul. Of course, another great video! Thanks Scott for always being so respectful and real. I’m a fan and supporter of yours for life!
Brittany Murphy - one of a kind, true beautiful soul. My favorite actress ever. She is so missed and so loved. A true talent gone way too soon. Rest easy Brittany Murphy!
Bro, you know who created in my heart? Who is a great person on film who I feel has taught me and means slot to me? A classic in its own right , a star in his own way? Scott on Tape. Brother we love you just like we love our Hollywood stars. Except more since you allow us to be a part of your community. We thank and love you my brother. Just like we loved Brittany, even more so. Aloha.
@@SCOTTONTAPE I can not thank you enough brother. You lift me and many others up. When we think of good people on film alot of us think of you. You've helped me through bad times, bring great memories back to many and let us relive old nostalgia while creating new ones. You are a rare, and valuable individual who helps many and who's positive talent and humor infect those around you. You have an ability to share your nostalgia in a special way. Mahalo 🤙
I don’t really Stan for celebrities but I loved Brittany Murphy. Every single movie the woman has been was good. Loved her character in king of the hill as well. Personally I always thought she shoulda been bigger than she was in Hollywood. I was saddened when she passed so young.
It's like what they did with the Cielo Drive house. Apparently if they leave a wall up they can claim it was 'renovated' rather than rebuilt. I remember Scott Michaels talking about that.
I heard her mother had it demolished. But as I see it wasn’t entirely. She was such a beauty. Always smiling and silly. I was so sad when she passed. Thanks for the video.
I’m not sure where I heard this from but I want to say that I heard there was mold in the house. Breathing that stuff in is literally death itself. For her and her husband to pass from the same thing.. really makes me think the mold made them sick
Scott, you did it again. Great vlog. Very nice. Sad that she passed away so young. I like King of the Hill a lot so I am reminded of her when she plays the character of Luanne. RIP Brittany Murphy. Thank you Scott.
Youʻre in Hollywood? I was just up there this past weekend and would've loved to meet you. Your blogs are awesome. Iʻve been writing a book for a long time about Hollywood and would've loved to get your input about it.
Amazing Scott, everything about you and doing these videos are so perfect, its like you was made for doing videos like this, you was made for doing a channel like this, right from your personality to the way you even talk, i seen alot of youtubers doing movie locations etc, but no one does it better like you, there is something about you that is so special, its just difficult to describe in words, By the way, i been to the place at the start of the video that says "laugh" on it when i was on a tour bus, i hope next time im in LA you will be around to meet up, I definatly can do with a selfie with you, as i said your just perfect, i cant even fault you on anything about you or your channel.
She was so very wonderful ❤️ and I enjoyed her immensely. I could see how gifted she was, from the very first movie I witnessed her in. What an actress! So beautiful, charming and very feminine, lovely beyond Measure. She will always be missed. Thank 😊 You for this Scott. Everything you do, is so beautifully done. R.I.P. Brittany 💓
Absolutely beautiful video, thank you darlin. I love Brittany so much! She was one of my favorite actresses and same age as me, which her passing was as hard as losing a family or friend close.
Scott really rockin’ the Ed Grimley look here. At first I thought I may of clicked on a video of Martin Short’s old Hollywood stomping grounds.😁 A nice sweet video tribute. Good work Scott.👌
I recently saw a show about Britney, & as I understand, if she would have been taken to the hospital they said she could have been survived the pneumonia she was suffering from. Why they didn’t take her is beyond me. The drugs in her system just exacerbated her situation, sadly. When I saw Don’t Say a Word, I knew she was going to go far as she was exceptional in that movie, but I loved them all. Bless her sweet soul. Thanks for video Scott!
Beautiful music. I just recently watched the Brittany Murphy story. I loved her too. It’s so sad that she died so young. And then her husband shortly after. What was her Mom doing? 😢 I have to visit Brittany when I’m in LA next time. 💜
A view from the UK. Scott, thanks for this. Why am i thanking you?. We are inundated with the bright, positive, optimistic, happy side of Hollywood, the success stories, the positive stories. But i see you and Stevie showing the dark side of Hollywood, the Hollywood that will suck you up and spit you out regardless of who you are. I think you are doing a great service being objective showing the real truth, not the fantasy. More please.
Such a beautiful beautiful tribute. You did a lovely job on this video. I am a major fan of Brittany Murphy's. I've seen all her movies. It's such a shame she died at a young age. She should still be with us. But she's up in heaven looking down on her loved ones. She will be deeply missed. Thank you Scott for doing this video
What a tragic story I love Brittany she was so gorgeous. Her talent was phenomenal!! My favorite was "Don't Say A Word." It breaks my heart she died so suddenly!!
Awww thank you for this Scott!!! I absolutely loved Brittany Murphy and still do she was one of my favorite actresses. Your channel lights up my life. Thank you!!
Brittany Murphy was such a beautiful smart young woman and one hell of a fine actress as well. I remember seeing her, for the very first time, in a movie with Michael Douglas, back in 2001, as she portrayed the role of a skizophrenic girl in a psychiatric ward. She was so awesome and had those beautiful voluptous velvet sad eyes. I will never forget her. Unfortunately, she died so young and came from a troubled background. I'm so sad to know that she's no longer with us. May her soul rest in peace. Thank you so much for sharing this precious video of her, with us and among all her fans. Johnny, Montréal, Canada.
Thank you for doing a video on Brittany Murphy. I remember getting the news from some old High School friends I ran into while out Christmas shopping that year. We were all in shock! She was such a beautiful person and very gifted actor. She’s resting now where my Grandmother is at Forest Lawn. It’s beautiful there. My Grandma died tragically very young when I was just about a year old. I hope to be buried there myself when my time comes, hopefully no time soon. I miss Brittany. I remember still being in shock over her death when the news about Corey Haim came out. He passed just about 3 months later from pneumonia too. How devastating. I still cry over him and Brittany. Great work with your videos. I’ve been getting caught up on these things a lot lately. Keep up the great work! 🌹
So tragic her death, I absolutely loved her in Clueless & 8Mile. Her Smile was so radiant, she had the glowing energy about her. So strange how her & her husband died the same way. I think might have had a lot to do with the Toxic mold in their house as well mix of the prescription medications they took to combat their illness which turned out to be deadly. So sad man. Thanks for doing this Scott. RIP Brittany Murphy 🙏🙏🕊️🕊️
I love Brittany Murphy. She's always been one of my favorite actresses. I loved her in Clueless, Sin City and Girl, Interrupted. #Rollin with the Homies
Your videos are perfect. You bring me back into a time where I remember great memories about that certain artist, actor , and actress. I love this video she was beautiful and had a great personality. Thank you for all the journeys that you take us on. Everyone of them is just perfect.
Scott, you’re truly a legend!!! 👑 THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!! I’m a big fan of Brittany Murphy. She’s truly missed and always loved!!💕 She reminds me of myself when I were her age. I’m still sad over her passing. 🥲🥲
In her earlier days before she hit it big...she was on a little known Disney show called "Almost Home" (I believe) a spin off of another Disney show called "The Torklesons". You can still find episodes here on RU-vid. I LOVED her role as the stuck up rich girl (but with a little bit of a heart). She was such a versatile actress. She is greatly missed! Love your work, Scott!
Scott ..don`t ever stop doing these videos ...whilst they are so moving ..they also give us an insight into the Hollywood machinery that has sadly claimed so many lives ..way way before their time .. i often wonder how many of these sad passings were a cry for help that nobody heeded .. so so sad ..from a guy here in the U.K. ......Peace Bro .....
