I am ashamed to say that I have lived in Greenville since 1970. My mother is buried in the same cemetery. I will definitely go there very soon. While I’m not sure where his BBQ place was, I know where his liquor store was. My stepfather’s father’s hardware store was a couple of doors down when he was a kid. My stepfather told me a few stories of “visiting Mr. Joe” at his liquor store. He said one thing he remembered most about Joe was that his wrists were HUGE! Thanks for sharing the video.
Right down the hill from my parents and sister in Valhalla, New York, at Kensico cemetery is the grave of Lou Gehrig. Sometimes when we go to visit them, I visit Lou.
