A couple years back I was in Cuba for a week. Alot of people there thought I was "one of Fidels bastards." Sounds negative but a couple of shopkeepers gave me 20 percent off of their trinkets (yes there was actual price tags on the items) and they were extremely friendly towards me. It was quite nice.

Our family watches White Christmas (1954) every year featuring Bing Crosby, and I remember the day my mom told me that out of context of the movie he was awful to women and hit his wife often. @@AeneasGemini It would help if women quit fawning over these dudes, yes. Though I can't say there isn't a fair share of them just out for what they can get out of these guys, too. And there's plenty of females that do the same thing as well. I figured out early not to date these guys. My high school had plenty of 'em, and they were pretty upfront with me about how they are, and never took "No," as a personal insult, because there was always someone else who was willing. I had no problem being friends with them or hanging out at school. The ones that I knew weren't going to force themselves on anyone, either - but they would warn me about the guys to be wary of. To this day I still don't trust anyone that comes off as too charming (regardless of gender). So yes, whether a playboy (or playgirl) is a scumbag depends on POV as well as what he's done outside the normal playboy routine. I hadn't thought about most of those guys in years, so thank you for pointing that out and refreshing my memory.

I can't say I'm terribly surprised that most "Casanovas" would be such unmitigated ass-hats. I can't explain it, but it has been my observation that an awful lot of women seem to kind of LIKE ass-hats, at least in the beginning. "Ladies' Men" are almost always TERRIBLY charming, VERY attentive and master manipulators. They also LOVE the Hunt; not so much the quickly-fading afterglow. I should have just said "Narcissists" to save space and time. My last room-mate was a prime example, and as someone who is interested in Psychology I found myself oddly fascinated by his routine. Listening to him chat up women really made my stomach twist, because he was ACTING the whole time. No true emotions other than a disgusting thrill of "scoring". Anything to get into a woman's knickers.

@@nedludd7622 I don't know much but I do know that Picasso must have been fucking high when he painted Guernica. I'm also kinda surprised the relatives of the victims of that attack weren't taken back at how bad it looks. Or maybe they were still in shock, who knows. Then again I admittedly have a bias against painters for the most part. I always preferred sculpture and architecture.
