I've know Max for a few years now. A couple of his brothers live where I live. I've bought a minivan and doing a very simple build out. Using a lot of his ideas, I'll be joining Max next winter. He's a good guy to have as a friend.
Great edit on the video! You both are so adorable. Hubby is retiring next year or the following spring. We are planning our retirement vanlife now so we can hit the road as soon as possible! Thanks for all the tips and tricks!
I just met Max but he is one of the nicest people I have known. He's great and is a lifelong friend. I plan on traveling with him this coming winter 2023 -2024 😊. I'm new to this lifestyle but enjoying it.
Woop Lee, he is so sweet, you better watch out😉, his funny little comments about name tags, Spanish disc, etc CUTE. Flirty, but in a cute way. He sounds nice. He feels at home, and it looks like his home, just the way he wants it👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌😉 Reminded me of my dad.
Isn't it interesting to see how different people travel? Max is a relaxed traveler with no time to waste on how things look, only to have them accessible for his use. Here he is being interviewed by a woman who is very particular about aesthetics, but very gracious in the interview. We are all so unique. 😊❤️
Max’s face when you mentioned the potatoes, onions and Ham was priceless, MVL💜🤣! So great to see Max’s set up and how well it works for him even when adding the table and bike. It is amazing to see the jigsaw puzzles different Nomads put together so well. Didn’t you originally meet Max in Tucson? He has been a good friend to you and us, as viewers. I agree with Max - you are the best (in so many ways)!! Thanks for opening your home to us all, Max. Be well!
Max is a beautiful soul :) Max your sense of humor is refreshing and really lifted my spirits this morning THANK YOU 😊 thanks Lee for another great video I will be out there in the fall🤞I hope to have chance to hello in person 👌🌿
Wow. The van life seems to be treating him well. He talked about being more active and the weight loss. I couldn't believe it when he said his age. I thought he just hit retirement age of about 65. Tell him he looks good. Great interview.
What a lovely interview with Max, Lee! You are very good at staying silent for a few seconds to allow the person a chance to talk. Max is an interesting fellow with a seemingly kind heart. I hope you'll continue interviewing nomads, Lee; I find the content as fascinating as the nomad themselves! I also love your music and fun visual effects! Thanks! Rhonda
Hmmm, I thought the name Max Dollarhite sounded familiar! It’s nice to put a face to the podcast interview! Great video Lee! It’s so interesting to see how others do the Nomad lifestyle. I think these home tours are my favorite. I’m still in a sticks and bricks, but setting up a “soft camp” vehicle is a practical thing. There could be a disaster that forces you to leave your home. Btw, I think this lifestyle makes people look younger! Max said he’s 73? 😳 He doesn’t look it.
I love all your videos, really enjoy seeing other nomads set up as well...Max is right, Lee, you definitely provide a plethora of information pertaining to this amazing lifestyle...Kudos my friend...
Hi Ms Lee,what a treat! Nice interview with your friend Max you alway talk about your good friend Max and we finally met him.😃 and what a nice and humble men he’s. great rig set up Max! You have everything you need in one small place, god bless you Lee and Max and be safe out there! 🚐🛶⛺️🚲
Lee, you make me laught 🍏, you really brighten my day each time I watch your videos, you are so sweet and caring all the time, thank you for everything you do. 😊
Love hearing how the lifestyle has helped him lose weight and get healthier. Great interview Max and MVL.... I love seeing the simple and economical builds ..... 💙
Thanks to Max for showing you his minivan! I have a Town & Country also, and my window coverings I made with Reflextix were a pain. His use of those windshield soft covers is the solution for me. I kept buying them for my front window and didn't like them, but they work on all the other windows. They were about to go to the landfill. My set up is almost identical: bed location, one seat still up, storage under the bed. Thanks! (Instead of his box partition, I use my large front windshield cover! Perfect.)
I think Max knows exactly what he wants, it shows in him as a human, he wants to be out in nature like most of us do, there's always someone around that would help. I think Max will be doing this a very long time. I love his setup and love how he knows where everything is. Tell max I'm from Wisconsin and I know what he's talking about the cold winter season yuck. I soon will be traveling and doing exactly what you and Lee are doing. Maybe will cross paths the 3 of us can make a nice meal.. Lee that onions, potatoes and ham sounded awesome even at 7:53 A.M in Wisconsin.. love ya and hugs to you both for another informative video, I've learned already a lot from you Lee now we have max... Hugs and love from Wisconsin ❤️❤️
@@Regina0964 I go through Wisconsin at least once each year. I go to the big air show in Oshkosh every year that they have it. I have many friends in Wisconsin and I think your winters are even more severe than Michigan's!
@@maxdollarhite3929 Winters here in Wisconsin have been brutal the past few years... Nice to see you out there where it seems you belong.. I'm hoping to soon myself.. nice to see you with Lee in this video, she's an amazing strong woman I've ever seen...keep in touch..
Plus loved Max, I am glad this lifestyle has worked for him. And yes it probably has saved his life by giving him a new lease on life. Hope he stays well and safe. He seemed a very nice man. 💙
It was nice to meet Max! And to see his practical rig, with a rear seat left up for a chair! Finally, a nomad with fishing poles! I'd have to take my pole and fishing gear! Thanks, Lee!
LOVED this video Lee! Max is amazing. And so sweet! Simplicity at its BEST, exactly what I've been prepping for, already got my totes packed :-). I can't believe he's over 70! I'm 56 & I was thinking he looks about 60 wow! Guess vanlife is definitely great for the soul 😍. & the tip about getting a bike at Goodwill & donating it back, great idea! I learned a lot from Max, thank u Max 👍❤. I wish u both safe travels & many great adventures (maybe even together 😉🥰). U guys should find a beautiful lake & go fishing together! Now that would be a great video, Lee. I know u came thru Utah awhile back but once the weather starts warming up u should definitely check out some lakes here (Navajo Lake for one is breathtaking) & beautiful scenery to film for sure. 😊🐟🏞🏕💜
I am beginning my journey in May traveling to the National Parks in a Dodge Caravan. I decided to leave the back smaller seat up too. Loved the simple set up.
Hay Lee I love this guy, reminds me of me a little. I'm 76 and been living in my van full time for 6 years and just took up wood carving a few months ago, what a nice hobby. By the way thanks for the tips on using claps to hold my window covers on my side windows. At first I didn't think much of your videos, but over time I've come to really enjoy them. Thanks again.
I love his personality!!- love his desire to still learn and do new things even into the seasoned years. Both of you are soooo cute!!! Blessings love and peace to you both!! Best wishes!!
Max is a sweetheart. Heis really enjoying life as a true nomad. Yayyyyyyyyymax and lee. Another super video. You and paul would be good with these types of videos together. Like a day and the life of real nomads love you lee and paul and abby girl and max.
You have convinced me to travel this way. Seems especially prudent considering the pandemic issues we face - Stay safe and what a neat life story you’re building :)
Max is a pretty cool dude for sure! I'm wanting to escape Michigan winter as well. Hoping to do so for the coming winter. I think spring is finally coming to Michigan soon!
Well Max it seems you have it all together just like you want...see to me this is the deal life style..getting rid of what cost so much and then living life as one pleases just makes sense. Enjoying!!! Great interview Lee and Max.
Nice to see you again, Max! Love your set up and your daily thoughts book idea! Your minivan is simple and easy and very affordable, which is great, especially for somebody like me, just starting out. And it works! Your hamburgers were the best! Take good care!
@@maxdollarhite3929, I dont believe in coincidences. There are angels amongst us. Thank you, for befriending me on my very first attempt at boondocking as a part-time nomad. It meant so much to me!
I sure love the pull out bed platform that sits on the storage crates! What a great use of space - flexibility is the name of this game❣❣❣I love all your videos Lee - sometimes I even leave your soothing & cheery- voice You Tube videos playing for my pups if I have to leave home for a bit!😆😆😆💖Oh, & I've used your product & window covering suggestions in my van! Thank you so very much!
Thank you BOTH! While the "home decor" looking vans offer eye candy - love this simplicity.! If possible I'd be combining the 2 - pull outs for heavy stuff! Oh - even I gret my van it will be named BOB! 😺☺️😺
Enjoyed the video. Thank you for the Van tour...great setup that works. Nice to see Max enjoying life...travelling, meeting folks along the way and spending time in nature which is good for the soul. Wish Max all the best in his journey...safe travels. Take care.
Well I awoke at 3am and decided to watch and Max says my vans name is Athena well that is my nickname I almost fell off my chair hahaha thank you for the great show
Sugar/honey, very beautiful and your eyes are like stars of heaven! What a sweet man, Max is. Awesome interview. Thank you for tour and video. Love these no builds. Waiting for the video of the cook out meal. Sounds delicious. Love Max's expression when mentioned it. Blessings in your days.
