Honestly, Mariah’s tone in her belt are so smooth, and her notes are always supported so much, and her transition in head voice, just her control in general is just so amazing. Whistle notes don’t make her a great singer, everything else make her The best singer.
You put it perfectly!! I feel there's a lot of emphasis on high notes and not enough on actual technique; it's not her high notes that make her so amazing, it's the technique behind them
Also, when she does her whistle notes, she's not just hitting the notes. She's still using vibrato and adding emotion and phrasing to them. Incredible.
@@regularwhitneyfanhatingonm5050 tbh ariana grande’s version of emotions sounds autotuned a little. No hate to Ariana, she can span like a trillion more notes then me lol.
Only a white person would comment this! The songs Mariah Carey wrote + sing were in the pop category there is no soul in that. Singers with soul are Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Jennifer Holiday! Mariah has good tone but no soul!
@@Wuhaboothis comment just shows u don’t know what soul is. It’s not a bout technicality it’s rooted in depth and emotion and as much as I love ari and think she’s an exceptional singer she lacks in that area
Mariah's songs are so hard, & she makes it look so easy... But the truth is that they sound good only when they come out of her mouth 😰😰 it is something with her tone
@@rheljancasino7517 baby we all know mariah carey is worst singer when lip syinc. She make beautiful gesture when she lip syinc. But the fact your fav singer cant beat mariah
@@rheljancasino7517 don't be stupid honey. Lip syinc is friend for singer. And you dont know about whistle register right? Most perform mariah lipped her whistle because dont used whistle everytime cause that make your troat sore!
The 👑 goes to: *Mariah Carey* Honourable Mentions: Jonalyn Morisette Katrina Sohyang Leona Lewis Christina Marie Ariana Grande P.S. I know that some of the ladies I mentioned weren't in the video but they've given admirable covers of Mariah's songs & renditions.
It’s more than just the high notes though. Those low notes are something else. Her range is so big and she can use it with so much control. Incredible.
Exactly!!! I love her whistle notes and just everything about Mariah's voice. She has so much depth and texture to her voice and utilizes it to the fullest. The best voice ever. I have never hear anyone sing the way she sings back when she first came on the scene...her highs and lows and so much power.
I have heard anyone match her Whistle notes for power or clarity. I used to be able to do Emotions but that little bit she does and the end on the live one, forget it! Never been able to sing that high.
mariah's vocals are effortless. it's like her voice is just floating in the breeze. when other people try to sing like her they sound like they're putting in some grueling work. you just wanna take a deep breath for them lol.
And that fact that she started writing songs when she's little and still write her songs even at this day, co produced and co direct her album really shows how talented Mariah. She's the super girl of Music Industry
@@philipcohen958 Exactly. A very diverse and versatile catalogue filled with inhuman vocals, beautiful melodies and background vocals, self-penned masterful lyrics, iconic hit songs, uncanny remixes, and life-saving songs. She is the greatest vocalist of recorded music in history. Her range (and I'm not talking about her vocal range),, her overall range and genius is just unparalleled. Period.
2:10 - Piet Arion's voice is like "I'm gonna take it to the highest level!" From tenor tone that sounds like Darren Hayes to a high Dimash soundalike! DAMN that's rare!
@@klovers3547nooooooo ! Anyone can sing in whislte tone either men or women. Look at Dimash for example ! And Piet is a Tenor/Countertenor so the notes aren’t too high. And if you hadn’t seen who’s the singer I’m sure you would have heard how heavenly his whistle register sounds ! He doesn’t reach Mariah’s level Ok! But he’s VERY good at whislte register
The singers who are 'attempting' Mariah's songs sound amazing. They all looked like they worked really hard on their performances. Wish I could wistle 😭😭😭😭
Tristan Falejeros don’t get me wrong I’m an Ari fan and I listen to her a lot also watch her videos and I know that she can’t do the whistle note as good as Mariah. only time she did it was when she made a cover of Mariah’s hit “Emotions” and she didn’t even sing it live.
Often imitated, never replicated. Great singers and fabulous high notes but for me the depth and rasp of Mariahs voice is incomparable. Thanks for the video ❤🦋
Mariah has a gifted anointed voice..Its way down in the depths of her heart and it comes out as a beautiful heavenly angelic voice..She has that extra emotional mmph in her voice
@@sage6805 ni it had only reverb don't diss singer just because you are jealous he has videos infrontnt of a phone singing them notes his control over whistle register is out of this world,He is much better im whistle than those phillipino girls
Lmao- That's so me, before I knew any of them they asked, "What song artists do you like?" I say, "Um, music is art...? And I like pretty much all types of music..." FACE PALM
Everyone trying the whistle like Mariah herself didn't take years and years to practice. Some did well and some not at all. Plus if it's not done with proper training and help, it will cause serious damage to the vocal folds and even make the head and mixed voice to sound all over the place without good tonal production. So be careful!
YeS MORISSETTE, I hope you also include other covers of Morissette cause Morissette is really good and such an excellent artist with style and passion. I mean it, she is a very great singer and has a wide range and storytelling.
I knew about all the others but the guys had a really nice whistle register, it really surprised me. I didn’t expect to hear that from a guys mouth. Lol. Great job.
Epic Gamer Tv not really. charice vocal range changed when she decided to undergo hormonal therapy and became jake. I got to give it to him tho, for choosing his happiness.
@@shari5234 Yea, but before that, she was a powerhouse and one of the best, but now he is happy so its all good, he still gave us amazing covers to listen to
@@immanuelsimon9620 Charice was phenomenal. She was almost always pitch perfect and had that power and ease with her high upper belts, and had that command and stage presence when performing. But on the technical aspects, it is only right to say that the vocal trinity of the Philippines are Morissette, Katrina, and Jona. They all have great range, ease, control, agility, power, resonance, and breath support. All of them are great.
2:38 algo muito interessante e muito eficiente que eu percebi foi que a Morisette tirou o microfone na hora do whistle para ver se iria conseguir, eu achei isso muito legal
So much talent! Wow 🙌 One thing that really bothers me about Ariana Grande, though, is that she's able to hit those notes, but i never feel any depth of emotions from her - it's just an imitation. Most or all of the other performers seemed like they were really feeling it.
Those that don’t know it, but the first woman to belt out the “Whistle” so effortlessly was the late, lovely, & great (Queen of the Whistle); Mrs. Minnie Riperton Rudolph--active: 1962-1979. My favorite songs include: “Loving You” & “Back Down Memory Lane.” The beautiful actress/comedian Mya Rudolph who played Vice President; Camilla Harris on Saturday Night Live during the previous election is her beautiful daughter. “My Opinion” ✌🏽
