I'm SU down............but this is one hell of sweet sound on this song. Bounce back FAMU..........miss seeing you guys across the field battling against us!!!
Where are they now? Where are all of you good FAMU band members, and how are all of you doing? Congratulations for knowing how to play a musical instrument, and for loving music, and for having been a part of a great music organization. (Kentron Chamelon/Monday/7-3-2017)
At the end of the day.. FAMU is a Staple in the Marching Band World. They have been judged for being too BIG, they've been judged for dancing too much... They've been judged for not blowing their lungs out. If folks ain't talkin bout Cha then you're not relevant. After that horrible incident that happened back in 2011 if u notice Swac bands went into FAMU's music book and snatched hella music and tweaked it. I like sum Swac bands alot but I Love me sum FAM. Now they need to get back to where they were, like seriously... It's about to be 2019 #LetsGetIt
@Gentleman1911 wow, the frequency response on your camera is excellent. not to mention the balance of the band. keep up these top notch clips my friend.
@678mrj dude chill. every band has its bad days. and this actually sounds good to say they've been playing for 4 hours. famu is still one of the best bands in the land
@kev11386 I hear what you are saying but yes, I only used one camera to record them and that is the actual audio with the video. Nothing extra sound wise was done. This was at the end of the game when FAMU was blowing at empty stadium seats across from them so who knows. Plus they are not always together when they play anyway so that could play a part as well.
Mt Airy "Pieces of a Dream" Philly's finest. Nice!!!! you just showing how you are paying attention to some of that Great Music. Keep Doing what you Do. 3x3
I love the 100, always have, they sound great. I'm a mix engineer and i'm picking up some hall reverb and some interesting panning. I know its synced w the video but its kinda hard to have that large hall reverb sound in an open stadium. sounds great but I'd be surprised if this was the actual audio from this clip.
@bestclass08 SOUTHERN U 1988 "BEFORE I LET GO" OUR ARRANGEMENT WAS SMASHING EVERYTHING THAT SONG TO ME WAS SOUTHERN THEME SONG BEFORE NECK CAME INTO PLAY AND TOOK THE SPOT
@Gentleman1911 i was repling to your comment when you said that the band isnot always together when the play s thats why i asked if they always have the full band or not
I know this is an Aristocrat signature but FAMU doing their thing on it! Bc the original version by pieces of a dream is very light compared to Keegan DeWitt he gives the song an edge! ❤️💚❤️💚❤️💚
Famu does sound good this year. I agree alittle with the phrasing, attacks etc alittle. It would be cool if "The Law" would be a director of the band again. Don't get me wrong though Dr. White and the other directors have been doing a hec of a great job
While I loved Dr. White as our head director, I'm sad I never got to march with him at the helm. I'll never forget playing Elsa's procession during his wake on campus. Crying for a man I never got to meet but changed my life for the better.
Are all the tuba's playing because for the number I see they sound weak. The upper brass is drowning them out. Other then that the band sound really good.
yeah...them trumpets need to watch the entrances n releases n stuff. Cuz it don't sound good. well i guess all of em do but it's usually the trumpets, sometimes trombones that i hear. Other than that, this song is still ma jam!! lol
@Hismusicianship yup. and look better. they too sloppy. a member of the band told that at the beginning of this season they dropped from 425 to 350. so its not MUCH of a difference but they can be a lot cleaner. it always seems like 2 or 3 trumpets and trombones hangin over on notes i hate that. i love FAM, best band period, but yall need to clean up, trim the band some, and come strong on discipline with straighter lines in marching this coming season.
