Short composition or not... this will definitely send shivers down somebody's spine...especially when this familiar enemy basically says "SURPRISE....I AIN'T DONE YET!" I definitely favor the brass swells and string staccatos emphasizing the time being ran out... and of course, eaten. And the key of E minor really fits the overall emotional demeanor. I've always loved the concept of the Time Eater. When i was younger, I was under the assumption that the creature in Generations was a child, easily taken over by Eggman. I'd love an idea of the TE's parent coming to enact revenge of the entire cast due to the "murder" of it's child. I do feel if SEGA ever made a Generations 2, the Time Eater or the creature should return.
WOAH I just finally realized that me and you we just predicted the Time Eater would return for his revenge on Sonic X Shadow Generations 😯 Not only that I remember that I made a wish for Sonic Generations remastered and now look what happened they finally did it not only sonic they brought shadow back like I'm so happy that I don't know what to say next 😄😁
I think this song has always been underrated to me. id love to see this remixed with heavy guitars and more orchestral,. I love this remix btw you did an awesome job
OOOH 💯💯❤ I could definitely see the revenge of Eggman or should I say the Eggman's , not only that it just gave me a dea this could actually work great in Sonic offical title - Not only that I can't wait see Sonic X Shadow Generations it's gonna be more epic than one I had on 3DS , not to mention I'm gonna be playing shadow for the first time and I hope they have a extra final boss that him and sonic are teaming up as supers y'all feel me 🔥😁🔥
Excellent work with this remix! Man, the Time Eater theme by Richard Jacques is so underrated, and it doesn't help that his boss fight, alongside Generations's story as a whole, is super disappointing, which led to this excellent track being either dismissed or forgotten.
Generations story is not disappointing at all lol and the only bad thing about Time Eater's fight is Sonic's friends yelling every single attack he does
It's in Hedgehog Engine one so I highly doubt it. Nothing's wrong with the fight except everyone yelling every attack it does, just hope they get rid of that
