Over 30 years have passed since The Valeyard first appeared on our screens and we still know so little about him...here are my thoughts on his origins!
Any ideas or theories discussed in these videos are purely my own interpretation of things that I personally like to think of as canon, and I do not speak for anyone other than myself in these videos.
I am not suggesting these theories are official canon or that anyone else should accept them as canon, unless they wish to do so, please respect my personal opinions/ideas/theories even if you do not agree with them.
I will neither confirm or deny any guesses or confirmation of what the "covered" custom is, a video on it will be coming soon.

*_IMPORTANT NOTE : Please read before commenting_* To address a couple of commonly raised points : Point : The origins of The Valeyard are revealed in The Last Adventure story The Brink Of Death Response : Whilst there is a scene in which the character of Genesta says The Valeyard was created by the CIA, iin her final encounter with The Sixth Doctor in that story it is revealed that it is actually The Valeyard in disguise as her. It is also left deliberately ambiguous whether she ever actually existed or was always The Valeyard in disguise from the very beginning, as such like the events of Trial Of The Valeyard, whilst there may be some truth to it, it cannot be confirmed to be his true origins. Point : The Valeyard was created in the story The War Valeyard Response : As the the events of The War Valeyard reveal, the story takes place in The Valeyard's personal future AFTER his creation, & at the time of writing it is possibly the last known chronological appearance of him within the narrative universe. Point : The Meta-Crisis Doctor Is The Valeyard : Response : Firstly RTD has confirmed he's not The Valeyard or will ever become The Valeyard Secondly whilst he has the appearance and mind of The Tenth Doctor he is human in body with a finite human lifespan, he has no capacity to regenerate and as he says he will grow old and die. Whilst many fans also say it's possible he could leave the alternate universe, somehow get regenerations and change his face, there is LITERALLY nothing that suggests that's possible and given the on-screen evidence it is extremely unlikely that would ever happen. Whilst there is a deleted scene in which the Meta-Crisis Doctor receives a bit of TARDIS coral in order to grow his own, it was removed because it over-complicated the ending of Journey's End and (although RTD says he likes to imagine it still happened) it is generally seen as non-canon for this reason. Lastly in the comic The Forgotten, the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor appears and claim to be The Valeyard however The Doctor immediately says this is impossible and discredits this, at which point it is revealed that The Meta-Crisis Doctor seen is actually a form taken by a mental parasite that is attacking The Doctor, with the events of the comic taking place inside the head of the unconscious Tenth Doctor in his TARDIS. As such whilst many people still believe it, there is nothing that suggests or even hints this is true within the narrative canon. For those interested in learning more about The Valeyard, he has been subject to a video in my "A Brief History" series which you can see here : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-to0TQ9xXB58.html

On Day of the Doctor: "Calling on all of his incarnations, including a future one." Now, I'm not up to date with all the fan theories out there, but did Eleven really call Twelve? DotD is in his past, he should remember having been there as Eleven, and could decide on his own to lend a hand in trying to save Gallifrey. His next incarnation in turn will remember Heaven Sent/Hell Bent and know that it worked, and so not see any need to go there again - hence no "all fourteen".

I do have another theory on the Twelfth Doctor's involvement in saving Gallifrey which will be coming soon

Ten slightly remembers it because he told wilf he married liz the first which happens in dotd
@YoungCodger
@YoungCodger 7 лет назад
I didn't think about Ten doing anything "hush-hush"; never mind Eleven. I always thought the Valeyard was just a deposit of all evil thoughts, actions, and deviations of the Doctor; sort of like a representation of all evil things that want to be tangible. But this is definitely something I didn't think about.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Well as with most of my theories I'm just putting together the evidence as I see it, as far as The Valeyard's creation as a physical being goes that's still something that unclear, but as an amalgamation of the darkness within The Doctor it certainly adds up for me that The Valeyard "began" at this point

awesome theory, I always assumed 11 got desparate on Trenzalore and made the Valeyard by accident, sometime after his brief meeting with Clara where they discuss his regenerations. Also, for the Torchwood mention, I like to think the resurrection glove was made and owned by Rassilon, as it's similar to the glove he wore during End of Time and Hell bent.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Thanks, and that's a possible too, as I say won't don't know much about his physical creation as such, however personally I think by the time he's on Trenzalore he has accepted his fate partly because he's just decided to accept it but also because as I say in the video having seen his future Twelfth Incarnation saving Gallifrey with the rest of them he knows his life will continue you. As for Torchwood, the glove isn't what my theory is about but I will be mentioning it.

Not sure I quite believe that he was working on the scrolls after Angels Take Manhatten as that loss didn't really lead to thinking bout how to stay alive after number 12, makes sense with 10 coz he recently wasted a life and is a lot closer to the end than he first thought, plus he's incredibly vain and probably believed he deserved more life, something likely to filter out when he becomes 11 as he's less vain and arrogant
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 5 лет назад
Well my thinking is that because he's on his own he's not got anyone else to care for or to distract him so prolonging his life becomes a priority but also given his "TimeLord Victorious" nature before his twelfth regeneration that the laws of time will obey him, it's possibly after losing Amy & Rory that he believes in breaking the regeneration limit and gaining more lives he could find a way to control life on a larger scale. This would make sense given that in the history of the show, espically in classic episodes such as Mawdryn Undead where others are seen trying to use regeneration energy for their own purposes and/or that it can be used to "heal" others and/or prolong their lives.

I'm just discovering your channel and I'm really enjoying it so far. However, I personally think the Valeyard's consciousness started to grow in the Doctor's mind earlier than that. I'm one of those who believes the Morbius' faces are actual previous Doctor (the audio Cold Fusion makes me believe that even more). Initially, the 5th Doctor was supposed to be the last one, which is hinted as his last sentence is something like: "So this is death? It feels different this time...". The 8 faces from Morbius would have make the 5th Doctor the final incarnation of his cycle (as he would have regenerated 12 times already), which would have (in my theory) been expanded by The Watcher fusing with the 4th Doctor when he regenerated. He would have naturally forgotten about this, and about his lives previous to the 1st Doctor right after this regeneration. So The Valeyard, in my theory, started to "be" when the 5th Doctor started to be. He was the initial 12th incarnation of the Doctor, tho maybe the actual 5th Doctor (the 8 faces from Morbius may not have been Doctors, kinda like John Hurt his The Warrior and not The Doctor). Well, that's my theory anyway :P

As someone who greatly enjoyed Trial of the Valeyard, it was great to see someone use this audio to creatie a new explanation for his origins. I personally prefer the Valeyard to be a mysterious future incarnation.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Well originally it was intended that it was to be directly and explicitly stated in The Ultimate Foe that The Doctor would DEFINITELY become the The Valeyard in future towards the end of his life desperate to extend his life cycle, however the showrunenr of the time John Nathan Turner felt this was too dark and would possibly overshadow the rest of the series so it was taken out, and the part of his being a separate amalgamation, rather than a future incarnation was added in. However I know alot of people do still think this, and it was recently referenced it in the comic The Four Doctor's where The Tenth Doctor believes the Twelfth Doctor might be The Valeyard as he knows he's only got one incarnation left.

@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 4 года назад
I'm not sure where you're getting that from but The Master never broke the regeneration limit, his final "decayed" form was the result of an encounter with his future self as told in Big Finish's Two Masters trilogy, and subsequently all "stolen bodies" were still the same incarnation just in a stolen body, up to Alex McQueen's incarnation which was the first in a new cycle seemingly

Thanks, I know alot of people think that the Meta Crisis Doctor will become The Valeyard but this idea was already debunked by the comic The Forgotten, but alot of people still think it. As for him actually appearing the show it is possible however I wouldn't expect it to be seen as I believe along with The Rani Big Finish currently hold the right to the character and have done for some time, so unless the BBC negotiate use of the character then I wouldn't expect to see him anytime soon. However it's possible he may still be mentioned/referenced in future as his name was mentioned as one of The Doctor's future names by the Great Intelligence in Name Of The Doctor
@retrogeek9655
@retrogeek9655 7 лет назад
Meta Crisis becoming The Valeyard doesn't add up anyway, as The Master said that Valeyard was created between The Doctor's 12th and final incarnations. And I don't like the idea in general, Meta Crisis is a half-human clone with no regenerations, and doesn't seem to have a dark side, though I think he was the force behind the dark scrolls and The Doctor trying to increase his regenerations. Never knew Big Finish held the rights to The Rani and The Valeyard though! They've certainly handled those characters well, hope they do more with them. I'd like to see them on the show, but if Big Finish hold the rights, I'm more than okay with that.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Well technically the Meta-Crisis Doctor was created AFTER The Tenth Doctor also became the Twelfth Incarnation so alot of people are using that as the evidence, but as you say without any regenerations and only a limited life span there is nothing to support that he might become The Valeyard. And yes, I believe at one time the BBC tried to re-aquire the rights for The Rani however when Kate O'Mara passed away and gave her permission for the character be continued in a new regeneration Big Finish wanted to continue and the owners of the right decided the same. I would defiantly like to see them both in the show at some point in future!

@RetroGeek. Maybe the timeless child, could be the valeyard? Created then abandoned by the doctor
@XiscoLozdob
@XiscoLozdob 7 лет назад
Brilliant! I share your thoughts, but I think he might have continued his experiments on Trenzalore, towards the end of his life, and accidentally created the Valeyard, who then somehow made it to the past of Gallifrey by means of the crack. The Doctor, after seeing what he'd done, would finally have discontinued his experiments. Would be fun if BF explored this.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
To be honest I quite like the mythos of how The Valeyard actually came to be created to remain a mystery, I get the feeling if a bit too much was explained about his character then he'd lose some of what makes him interesting. That what I like about Trial Of The Valeyard, it gives an account of events regarding his origins which ultimately turn out to be untrue but at the same time suggest there may be some truth in them somewhere.
@XiscoLozdob
@XiscoLozdob 7 лет назад
Yeah, if they ever did it, it almost certainly wouldn't be able to meet everyone's expectations, so it'd be a bit of a bummer. But it's fun to speculate, cause everyone have their own theory and you can listen to theirs and try to add the bits you like to your own. Anyway, great video :D

I know alot of people do believe that the Meta-Crisis Doctor is The Valeyard, however in the comic The Forgotten, the Meta-Crisis Doctor appears claiming to be The Valeyard which The Tenth Doctor immediately denounces as impossible, and later it is revealed that the Meta-Crisis Doctor in that story was a disguise by a mental parasite attacking The Doctor. However also as we know that the Meta-Crisis Doctor is just a normal human in body as he say it means he would never be able to regenerate therefore there isn't a reason as to why he would have changed into the Valeyard's current appearance in as seen in Trial Of A TimeLord, I know it is a popular theory among many but to me it raises more questions than it answers

Alot of people do believe that, however it is extremely unlikely and has pretty much been debunked as an idea. Firstly RTD has confirmed he's not The Valeyard or will ever become The Valeyard, and secondly whilst he has the appearance and mind of The Tenth Doctor he is human in body with a finite human lifespan, he has no capacity to regenerate and as he says he will grow old and die.Whilst many fans also say it's possible he could leave the alternate universe, somehow get regenerations and change his face, there is LITERALLY nothing that suggests that's possible and given the on-screen evidence it is extremely unlikely that would ever happen. I thought it was literally somewhere between the 12th and final, so.. 12.5. RTD said the metacrisis doctor would never become the valeyard anyway, they did a comic version where the tardis matrix showed him as the valeyard, but they even said in the comic that he wouldnt become him.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
You're half right, it's true that The Meta-Crisis Doctor would never become The Valeyard, he can as whilst he has the appearance and mind of The Tenth Doctor he is human in body with a finite human lifespan, he has no capacity to regenerate and as he says he will grow old and die. Whilst many fans do say it's possible he could leave the alternate universe, somehow get regenerations and change his face, there is LITERALLY nothing that suggests that's possible and given the on-screen evidence it is extremely unlikely that would ever happen. As for the comic to which you are referring, that is the comic The Forgotten. He doesn't actually appear in The Matrix, in the comic The Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor appears and claim to be The Valeyard however The Doctor immediately says this is impossible and discredits this, at which point it is revealed that The Meta-Crisis Doctor seen is actually a form taken by a mental parasite that is attacking The Doctor, with the events of the comic taking place inside the head of the unconscious Tenth Doctor in his TARDIS. The TARDIS is involved by through it's mental link with The Doctor it takes the form of his various previous companions within his mind in order to help him.

Will we get an evil incarnation of the doctor by the name of the Valeyard one day and our future.His name was mentioned by the great intelligence.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
It's unlikely that we will get a proper incarnation of The Doctor that is evil and becomes The Valeyard. The original character outline for The Valeyard was that he was indeed intended to be a future incarnation of The Doctor, however the producer of the time, John Nathan-Turner, decided that it would over shadow the programs future if it was shown that The Doctor would become evil in future. So the character outline was revised to The Valeyard being an amalgamation of the dark sides of The Doctor's nature, making him a separate entity rather than a future incarnation.

Some people think the Meta crisis Doctor could be the Valeyard. But since he only has one heart and can't regenerate and can grow old. I doubt this. Plus this version got to live his life out with Rose.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
It is something alot of people believe but I don't think it works either, for the same reasons as you say here. If he were The Valeyard it raises more questions than it answers, plus the comic The Forgotten has the supposed Meta-Crisis Doctor revealing himself as The Valeyard however The Tenth Doctor almost immediately says that it's impossible for it to be so and the "Meta-Crisis Doctor" in the story is later revealed to be a disguise by a mental parasite that is attacking The Tenth Doctor in his TARDIS

He could've had his life with Rose but her eventual death could've pushed him over the edge. Thinking he's dying of old age only to regenerate & start the black scrolls because he was unsure of how many lives he had? Just throwing it out. Great video.

Thanks and as mentioned in the pinned comment this is very unlikely, firstly there is no evidence to support it as an idea, secondly RTD has confirmed he's not The Valeyard or will ever become The ValeyardAnd thirdly whilst he has the appearance and mind of The Tenth Doctor he is human in body with a finite human lifespan, he has no capacity to regenerate and as he says he will grow old and die, there is nothing to suggest that he will regenerate.

Yes it is fair because The Eleventh Doctor later confirmed it counted as a regeneration in Time Of The Doctor, even though he kept the same face and number as Doctor he was still another incarnation. What if the Valeyard isn't an actual incarnation of the Doctor, but a litetal amalgamation of the Doctor's more evil side. Perhaps somehow, either by the macinations of some alien force or by the Doctor's own attempt of preventing the Valeyard's arrival, the Doctor's worst attributes are extracted from him and form the Valeyard. This would make the Valeyard a sort of incarnation of the Doctor but also his own entity, a Mr. Hyde with his own body if you will. Granted the Doctor may become more like the Valeyard as his incarnations go about, but this may be a motivation to attempt and stop it and in turn inadvertently create the Valeyard. Though with the way the show is going as of late, we may be in for a long wait for this to happen.
@CaptainJimiPie

I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make here? I never said he was an actual incarnation, in fact I said the opposite stating that he is indeed an amalgamation of the Doctor's darker side, I even showed the clip from the show at 1:29 which states this...so I'm a little confused as to why you're trying to "correct" a point I've already made but restating what this whole video is about?

CaptainJimiPie Hey, concerning customs, I was wondering if you knew: does paint thinner/remover only remove paint that has been put on as part of a customisation, or does it remove all paint on a figure until only the original plastic is seen. As I'm making a sixth doctor custom, but I have previously painted it blue. I'm wondering if using paint thinner will just remove the blue, or the original paint on the figure as well? Cheers.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Unfortunately I can't really advise much on the use of paint thinners/removers in the way you need to use them as almost never use them myself. On the rare occasions when I want to remove paint from a custom, I usually use warm water, a bit of a soap and a very soft brush, which takes a long time, sometimes days, but it does stop any original paint coming off most of the time, however it all depends on the kind of paint you use too as that may not work for some types, I also sometimes use Acetone free Nail Polish remover however thats only when I don't mind bits of the original paint coming off either, as I'm going to repaint the whole thing. The best thing I can think of to try is if you have some spare pieces do some tests first and find out what works best for the type of paint you have, trial and error really, sorry I can't be of more help!

Cool vid, but I just would have gone with the Hand Doctor. I.E. the one made with that regen that made 2 tens as the second one being the Valeyard. Maybe Rose dies and he goes off the deep end. He has a bit of Donna in him so that should slow it, but his link to humanity is Rose Tyler. And he was acting super dark in that story before Donna saves every one with her Time lord knowledge before the Doctor makes her forget to save her life. Though in the end if time we see she still has some powers left ware when confronted by Master er clones she sends out some sort of mind wave. And way. What if the Hand Doctor or 10th 2.0 is the Valeyard. He is the same DNA as the Doctor. Made from the Doctors severed hand. It's a bit Evil dead as the one sepreat becomes the villain, but who knows. If in the other world Rose dies and 10th 2.0 finds a way back to this universe. And wants revenge. Maybe he regens into the form we know as the Valeyard?

If you mean the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor then whilst it is something alot of people believe, however if he were The Valeyard it raises more questions than it answers, for example the fact that he explicitly states he cant regenerate and now has the same life span as a human so he wouldn't be able to regenerate/change his appearance into that of The Valeyard we know. Also in the comic The Forgotten has the supposed Meta-Crisis Doctor revealing himself as The Valeyard however The Tenth Doctor almost immediately says that it's impossible for it to be so and the "Meta-Crisis Doctor" in the story is later revealed to be a disguise by a mental parasite that is attacking The Tenth Doctor in his TARDIS.

Thanx for the response. Maybe he stole some one else regen cycle like the Master does. This doc wasn't a husk so might be easier for him. now that the Time Lords are back. He could steel one of theirs or come up with a plan to free them in exchange for a regen cycle. Then uses them up doing what ever . then goes back in time to take the docs. Not sure if the comics count as Cannon. Maybe he finds a way to get them out of the pocket dimensions and uses this to get a regen. Or he steels some ones uses them up and then plans to go back and take the doctors last 6. Heck if Ace can become a time lord as a human . As was planed before the cancelation in the 80s. And may have made it into a few books. Why can't they give that to the Meta-Doctor? I assume he has some Galfrean DNA. At lest half. Because of Donna and his being made from the hand of the 10th. Can't wait to see your next video.

No worries! and personally for me, him stealing a regeneration cycle is unlikely, as he says he only has one heart and a human life span so in theory he is physically human (the Donna part, along with some personality traits) but with the appearance and mind of The Tenth Doctor. It is a bit of an unanswered point as it did leave alot of questions unanswered so it's always open to interpretation but personally the idea of him being The Valeyard is to me highly unlikely

I don't understand how Big Finish can set up classic Doctors with new monsters which they've done . , because how can the Doctor be suprised in new who for a new monster when he's already met them . Maybe it explains this but I have'nt got round to those stories yet in Big Finish usually a pretty brilliant outlet for Doctor Who
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 6 лет назад
Actually they've been pretty clever in the way they've done this, without giving away spoilers Big Finish have deliberately chosen monsters which in their first appearance in terms of the show The Doctor already has prior knowledge of, so when his classic counterparts meet them in the Big Finish range sometimes he already knows of them and others it's his first encounter with them from his perspective.

@@CaptainJimiPie Sorry I wasn't clear on that. You brought up the character of Genesta. Which turned out to be the Valeyard in disguise. I do agree that would raise more questions than answers. But that's fair enough if you don't believe that who is Ruth is. I'm just trying to explore all possibilities.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 4 года назад
Ah I see, now I'm with you, in that instance it COULD be possible that Ruth is The Valeyard in disguise but for me personally it stills raises more questions, such as how did The Valeyard makes his disguise human without doing it to himself as well, and when The Doctor scanned Ruth & then herself then surely she would have noticed some discrepancies between them. As I said don't get me wrong it is a possibility but one that just raises a few too many questions for my liking.
@Deception975
@Deception975 4 года назад
@@CaptainJimiPie That's understandable you don't agree. It isn't my main theory of who Ruth is. I just have to point out: Jodie's Doctor did also scan Ruth earlier in the episode, with her sonic. She came up as human. Then while on Ruth's TARDIS, Jodie's Doctor stated her sonic couldn't decrypt the bioshield. Which she did not mention said bioshield during the first scan. Granted, that could be chalked up to a slip up in the writing, or the Doctor withholding information. Or it could very well be she initially missed the bioshield. Though, I don't believe Chameleon Archs use bioshields. From my understanding, it rewrites the DNA. Again, this could be chalked up to the writing, or my misunderstanding.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 4 года назад
Which is partly what I mean by raising too many questions, for me when it comes to fan theories you can always put in some interpretation but ultimately what you still have to go with what is said in the canon, you can't really change that. So for me it stands to reason a chameleon arch & bio shield can be used concurrently but when you then throw the idea of The Valeyard, who isn't necessarily a full TimeLord to begin with, disguising himself as a human who is then whilst human is disguising themselves with a bioshield because they are really a TimeLord disguised as human...it just goes a bit beyond logical interpretation for me as there's just too many levels and contradictory points there to break down. Disguising himself a Genesta in comparison was easy because she was only ever just a TimeLord...assuming she was ever even real in the first place.

My theory is the valeyard is the second incarnation of the meta crisis Doctor (mainly due to having two actors) Sometime after Rose dies Meta10 on the brink of death fines a way to the main universe & steals enough regeneration energy to become The Valeyard.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Alot of people do think that The Meta-Crisis Doctor will become The Valeyard however this is very unlikely given the on-screen evidence. Firstly by both his and The Doctor's admission he is human, he only had one life, will grow old and never regenerate, which means if he's mainly human in body, then his body wouldn't be able to "support" a regeneration cycle. He is TimeLord in mind but still only human in body. Secondly, the comic The Forgotten seemingly features The Meta-Crisis Doctor as The Valeyard before The Tenth Doctor notes how this is "impossible" and sooner after it is discovered it is mind parasite taking on the Meta-Crisis Doctor's appearance. Also I'm not quite sure where you got the idea that the Meta-Crisis Doctor had two actors, as on screen only David Tennant has been seen to play the role
@Vouax
@Vouax 7 лет назад
CaptainJimiPie I've read The forgotten so I'm not counting that. The two actors come from if meta10 becomes valeyard, one being the valeyard actor and the other being Tennant. Grant it meta10 can't regenerate, however nothing stops him from becoming a full time lord so to speak and steal a regeneration cycle. Of course this theory is a glass house that only stands by not much backing it, but until the valeyard comes back it's my head cannon.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Well the two actors thing is a link of your own, there's nothing to link the characters officially, they only have the one actor each (although The Valeyard did take on disguises that meant others have played him) As I said for me this theory never stood up due to the contradictory evidence, but that's just me, if it works for you then that's what matters! :)

What are the Black Scrolls?
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 6 лет назад
The Black Scrolls of Rassilon appeared during The Five Doctors, supposedly written by Rasslion they contained forbidden knowledge from the Dark Times, possibly about how to break the regeneration limit, and whilst there were copies the one seen in the episode were destroyed. However as discussed in this video it is possible that other TimeLord's created their own Black Scrolls, containing their research into breaking the regeneration limit.

question why would the doctor need the black scrolls if he apparently the timeless child (hate the episode and concept)
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 4 года назад
Because contrary to popular belief The Doctor doesn't have infinite lives or the ability to regenerate indefinitely, there is nothing said in any episode which confirms or implies that and it simply seem to have come from fan speculation. The fact that by The Eleventh Doctor's time he was on his last incarnation in his current cycle quite literally proves that The Doctor has a limited life span

Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor is the Valeyard
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Alot of people do seem to think that however in the comic The Forgotten the Meta-Crisis Doctor appears claiming to be The Valeyard however The Tenth Doctor notes the impossibility of this and it is later revealed that not only is the Meta-Crisis Doctor not The Valeyard but also that the Meta-Crisis Doctor in the comic story is actually another alien disguised as him. Plus given the fact that the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor only has one life and a finite human lifespan it leave alot of unanswered questions such as why has his appearance changed? How does he posses the powers he has? How did he make it back to Gallifrey and the main universe? And more, it just makes it very unlikely

@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Well he is though, if you watched the video then as it shows in there it was confirmed in Time Of The Doctor where The Eleventh Doctor actually explicitly states that the Stolen Earth/Journey's End regeneration counted as a regeneration meaning although he didn't change his face or personality at the time he still regenerated meaning he went from one incarnation to another. Regardless of whether you believe it or not the simple truth is the proof is in the episode, it's been pretty much been confirmed on screen and besides if The Eleventh Doctor was only the twelfth incarnation it mean he'd still have one left...which he doesn't because again he explicitly confirms that he, The Eleventh Doctor is the final incarnation in his first cycle.
@benwelsh5265
@benwelsh5265 7 лет назад
Yeah that's great and everything but I'm talking about actual bodies and there is no way you're going to tell me the 10th Doctor had 2 bodies. The whole point to the Journey's End regeneration was that there was no change on any level as he siphoned off the spare energy into his hand after the healing was complete. I'm fine with Ten being technically the 11th and 12th doctors vain and greedy prick that he is but saying he has only one body.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 7 лет назад
Well technically he did, his body before the regeneration was dying due to the damage caused by the Dalek shot, and his body AFTER had that damage healed. For example, when human cut themselves, the tissue that regrows to heal it isn't the same tissue that was there before. It's the same principal here, everything looks the same but it's not. Regardless of whether his appearance changed or not, he still became another incarnation, he didn't change Doctors. The Eleventh Doctor has explicitly confirmed that that regeneration counted, meaning he did regenerate therefore he changed from one incarnation to another even if no physical change ACTUALLY occurred. And the fact that he kept calling himself The Tenth Doctor after the regeneration meaning he was still The Tenth Doctor both before and after it. If you don't agree fair enough, alot of people do think along the same lines as you, but the simple fact is that going by the on-screen evidence and what's actually been said and confirmed on screen, The Tenth Doctor was only one Doctor but two incarnations, the eleventh incarnation before The Stolen Earth/Journey's End regeneration and the twelfth after it, leading to The Eleventh Doctor being the thirteenth and final incarnation as he confirms on screen in Time Of The Doctor...that's just a fact.

I was thinking it could be the metacrisis doctor. What if when rose dies and is suposed to age and die he regenerates and he only thought he was half human somehow and so losing rose and having a tardis grown (deleted scene) he decides to travel to our universe and works on the black scrolls.
@CaptainJimiPie
@CaptainJimiPie 6 лет назад
As I said in my pinned comment whilst alot of fans do believe that that is VERY unlikely, firstly RTD has confirmed The Meta-Crisis Doctor isn't The Valeyard or will ever become The Valeyard Secondly whilst he has the appearance and mind of The Tenth Doctor he is human in body with only one heart and a finite human lifespan, he has no capacity to regenerate and as he says he will grow old and die.
