I hope for us all that it will be sent way earlier, because i am so impatient while waiting for mine to arrive mid september so i can't imagine for you guys that ordered for november.
@@azzazz4549 Yeah they do, but it was for 8th september but the site was dead and just after 30 minutes of trying to buy i got one it changed to 15th september :/
6th of September is what it says on my order. Luckily my time spent hunting the elusive and mythical creatures known as gpu’s my refresh game is top notch.
Thanks for introduction of the wheel. Are there any plans to improve compatibility with Xbox Series X? Currently not all buttons can be used and assigned to specific tasks and also display (and rev lights on formula wheel) is not working. Would be good if you could give an update on the Xbox compatibility progress. Thanks!
Trying to purchase this wheel rim, but the site is forcing me to buy either the free quick release or the club sport, but I already have both options. Can someone assist me in purchasing just the wheel?
Please please please change the quality of your FANATEC decal or sticker. We got to stick it perfectly or else, if we try to remove it in order to correct the position, the sticker itself will rips off. I dont think it will cost that much to get a quality decal for the cost of your product.
The problem you will have with any Fanatec product is its reliability. I have this wheel in the V1 version and the shifters have failed twice and sent back once under warranty. I have the DD1 Podium wheel base and it has already failed and been replaced. Same with my CSL Elite pedals - Fail. Not only that, Fanatec don't supply many parts, so kind of want you to return it for repair. In doing so they charge around $60 AUD an hour, plus parts to repair. My personal opinion from experience with many Fanatec products now is to look at other brands first. There are so many new options available, which are of better quality.
Kind request to make your products available in India. We Indians are stuck with Logitech as our best budget wheel. So, there’s a big scope for you in the Indian market. Either through your own website or through Amazon or Flipkart.
Hello. Thank you for your detailed video walkthrough of the McLaren GT3 V2 wheel. May I ask a quick question? How could I get PlayStation button caps for this wheel? So far I am only able to see Xbox versions of this wheel available to purchase at my end.
Like for people with disabilities, where they cant use pedals for power/braking. Heard many stories of awesome people like that using this wheel to do simracing
Thanks for the video. For those that have pre-ordered the CSL DD, which apparently uses a newer QR2 connector, do we order one of these McLaren GT3 steering wheels now with the current QR1 connector and then also order a QR2 adaptor (at some point once they are available) or will there be another revision of this McLaren GT3 wheel with a Q2 connector already fitted? Right now I've got a base pre-oredered but no wheel and want to reduce the amount unnecessary shipping where possible, thanks.
The CSL DD is compatible with: Fanatec Podium Steering Wheels Fanatec ClubSport Steering Wheels Fanatec CSL Steering Wheels i dont think we have to worry about old wheels with qr1
@@offtrackpl It's all good. Re-reading the website it looks like the CSL DD actually comes with a QR1 connector, it just doesn't say so explicitly. It mentions that the existing (quick release) component is upgradable to QR2 in future, which is what threw me. "The CSL DD uses an automotive-grade, all-aluminium quick release. This component is user-exchangeable, ready for the transition to the all-new QR2 system (coming soon). "
This is probably because you purchased it before we started shipping the QR in a separate box. Wheels that have a pre-installed QR don't have the safety cap. The cap is only there to protect the pins during shipping, it is not required once you have installed the QR.
@@FormulaProg Now that the QR is packaged separately, you are asked to select the QR before adding the wheel to your basket. If you select the metal QR, the simplified QR will not be included. You should try adding a McLaren wheel to your cart to see what I mean.
@@DomB_Fanatec that’s a strange one. I’m not sure why anyone would pay £100 extra for the metal QR when the plastic one is actually a better design and easier to use.
@@FormulaProg The metal QR is easier to use. The simplified QR requires tightening and untightening each time, whereas the metal QR is spring-loaded. High-Torque Mode on Podium Wheel Bases is only available when using the metal QR.
I just ordered CSL DD with the boostkit and the McLaren wheel and can't wait to November ,my question is ,shall I upgrade to QR1 Wheel-Side (ClubSport Quick Release Adapter) or is it fine with the plastic one🙂
I've seen a lot of people say that the metal of the clubsport QR makes it flex less, I ordered mine with the standard one. Lets see in a couple of days
Every single fanatec item I have bought, csl elite wheel, v3 pedals and formula wheel has issues. Very sad because they look great.I have not had any luck with their customer service at all.
Hi racepnd, I'm sorry to hear about your issues. The correct way to reach technical support is by creating a Support Ticket via the My Products section of your Fanatec account, or you can use the Live Chat feature, open Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m (CEST).
@@DomB_Fanatec I did that complete with videos that I was asked not to post publicly and I was told the slop in my pedals after three months was normal and I could not even buy the parts myself to fix them. Also my calibration issue with my csl elite wheel would be covered by warranty but because there was no repair facility in my country I would have to send it in via the cheapest shipping method without insurance and I would be responsible to pay any duties and taxes again to get it back into my country. In my opinion this was totally unfair for a wheel that was six months old and it never got repaired. The formula wheel I also bought has buttons that have lost their click. All products will have issues This I can accept but the very poor after sales customer care and a minimal amount of warranty support available are not fitting for premium products in my opinion and this is why I didn’t buy dd1 or anymore wheels..
@@DomB_Fanatec Then please state that clearly so people can make more informed decisions before the point of purchase. Then if someone still presses “add to cart” it is on them.
Hi folks. Just purchased this wheel for Series X. Using it with the F1 Podium DD and the quick release. When I switch it on, it calibrates and I can use and change the settings but it seems my Xbox doesn't recognise the wheel as pressing the Xbox button or any other button does nothing. Any suggestions? Cheers...
Have you switched the Podium wheel base into Xbox mode? The Xbox will only detect the wheel once you have done that. The button combination to switch modes is shown at 04:38 in this video.
