I've always thought that Irene was the best dancer of Red Velvet. When I first saw their MV and live performance, I immediately thought that Irene was the main dancer, the main rapper and the visual. But now that everyone is saying "No, she's this and that".... I don't know what to think anymore because to me, she's the best dancer of the group. Seulgi is a good dancer too but she sometimes looks stiff when she dances (Maybe because she's skinny or she has a different dance genre). However, I think she has more dancing skills/moves & knowledge than Irene, for example I think she might know how to dance hip-hop and etc. Unlike Irene who I think only knows how to dance with a choreography & own it but I doubt that she can freestyle. But it doesn't mean that the ones who got more dance moves is the best dancer. Dance moves can be learned but the way you look when you dance (Graceful, etc) cannot be learned.... I don't know if I've made my point clear. I have a hard time expressing my opinions & thoughts but hopefully I made it clear.

For me, Seulgi is the main dancer because, she has better overall execution than others, even though Irene is quite fluid when she dances, Seulgi has this 'feel' when she dances, its a balance of power, energy, flow, and etc. For Irene, she's still a good dancer but I think she excels in having energy and flow when she dances.

She also sings a lot less than Seulgi who sings the chorus and has more parts (all of which are more strenuous than Irene's). All Irene has to do is look cute and dance for most of the song. I've watched all the fancams now and Seulgi, Joy, and Wendy look exhausted during some parts of this song compared to Yeri and Irene.

blizzard217 You're wrong : Irene is the Main Dancer, the Main Visual and the Main Rapper in Red Velvet. SeulGi is the seconde Main Dancer, the second Visual and the second Main Vocal (because Wendy is the Main Vocal).

ur a mess SM did the same thing with SNSD : TaeYeon was the visual, but like she is the Leader, SM attributed the Visual's Role for YoonA. Here, Irene is the Visual (eyelid, etc..) she is the Ideal beauty of Korean. But She is the Older so She is the Leader, this is why SM said SeulGi is the Visual, but is just for this. So Irene is the Real Visual, like TaeYeon. For the Main Dancer, it's the same with f(x) : Krystal is the Main Dancer, but in fact Luna (and also Victoria) is the best dancer in f(x). They put Krystal like Main Dancer, because of her body : she's tall and skinny (the most skin in f(x)) like SeulGi. SeulGi has the same body that Krystal.. Irene is the Real Visual and Main Dancer. Why did they put Irene & SeulGi for "Natural" in the middle ? And irene had more photoshoot than SeulGi.

Sam Touquie That is not correct at all. Krystal's positions in f(x) are Lead Vocals, Maknae. Vic is the Main Dancer and Luna is Lead Dancer.

blizzard217 I think you don't understand anything : i say, because Krystal and SeulGi are Visual, SM put them in the middle, but both are good at dance; But the better ? No. Luna is the better dancer in f(x). Victoria is after Luna : this is not because Victoria is so flexible, she is the best dancer. Luna is more better. Finally, Krystal is in the middle for the "image" of f(x), but she is also the "center". And the center is a person who have good base in dance and a good body (like YoonA and Yuri : both are center in snsd, but YoonA is also the Visual). Do you understand what I mean ?

***** actually that is what SM entertainment wants because fangirls will always spend their money for their idols and rarely for fanboys, they will like that group but they won't really buy. If you realised, why does other girl groups have a lot of fans but their album sales is not high? It is because they have high number of fanboys and the reason why other girl groups have a lot of fanboys is because they always go for sexy concept. If you look at SM's girl group which is GG and f(x), they also have a lot of fangirls like Red Velvet because SM never make their idols sexy concept. For SM, they always go for modern, refreshing and innocent concept and this is actually true. I watched a video where SM's representatives stated it themselves.
