Robyn Fenty in their latest comeback (power up) people were calling her dancing and stage presence lazy. on top of that, yeri has always been the most hated member, her teasing and playfulness was seen as ‘disrespectful’ and ‘rude’ but even her unnies know that she’s just messing around. there’s a lot of other things but these are the most recent ‘reasons’ that ppl hate on her.

The fans weren't quite happy when Yeri was added to the group late even tho she was in the line up but SM didn't debut her cause she was too young or smth. At the time when Yeri was criticised for her dancing her health wasn't the best and she had to take something I'm not sure what and one of her best friends Jonghyun committed suicide and she is still so young so it must have been hard for her

It is so stupid that people hated her in Power Up for her stage presence and dancing. She literally got in a car accident and required an IV before each performance in order to perform! Cut the girl some slack! If any other member had gone through that, no one would have minded, but because it is Yeri, they just HAVE to hate her, don’t they?

Come to think of it, it's either Irene or Seulgi. Irene is more fluid & smooth with her movements on the other hand, Seulgi has fiercer and sharper movements. I personally like Irene's style but you can take your pick by your preference. Both are awesome ^^

Yeah actually all of them are great even Wendy Im happy to watch them dancing with that energy the only bad thing is that it sometimes makes their voices crak :c but i still loving the perfomance. RV fighting :D

Her journey has been long but she's still the weakest member of the group and quite frankly her only value to the group is to bring the average age of the group down. All areas are sufficiently covered by the other members.

To other people who might be reading this, don’t mind this person;@@chicharon14344 and her (I assumed as “her”) previous comment above me. We got into an argument about other artists in other video, and she couldn’t accept the fact that she was the one who is ignorant, and ended up replying to my comment here (and also attacking me in my own editing videos but I don’t mind that because finally she is speaking the truth). To Yeri’s fans, I’m sorry for bringing this person here even though Yeri has nothing to do with our previous argument. That person might don’t even meant what she said and only wanted to drag me down so don’t mind to reply to her. Because we all know that Yeri holds one of the biggest roles in Red Velvet’s harmonization, Wendy saying that Yeri improved in vocals a lot during Rookie’s promotion and that she was proud with her, then Irene and Seulgi being so happy and proud with how Yeri grew up, it shows that Yeri has improved herself while promoting with the group, that explains a lot ☺️ And now she keeps remain unbothered with the haters, and already once finished filming the whole series of her own talk show, and now pursuing her career in acting successfully. She will strive to the success even more and those hateful words will never get into her so don’t mind any haters guys ❤️

Well if you count being the maknae as an essential checklist item for groups, then maybe she does have a purpose. Skills-wise she's replaceable. @@chicharon14344 oh I’m not talking to you in my latest previous, but since you replied it then here we go. Yes, roles-wise, it might seem like there is no reason for Yeri to get into Red Velvet. She does not get any main roles-either vocal, dance, rap, and even visual. Fortunately, that’s not how it works in a group ☺️ All the members in a group are supposed to complete each other, and Yeri fits into the group well enough. Skills-wise, obviously she is replaceable, but she has proved enough to the fans that she deserves to be in Red Velvet. She has amazing control in low notes (but sadly in this industry, people tend to appreciate high notes more than low notes, so this skills of her are getting ignored), and basically holding one of the biggest roles in their group’s harmonization. If you have following Red Velvet, you must have known that people always talk about how her voice is very evident in the chorus which they usually sing together, and despite having quite distinct voice, she always became the one who harmonized with Wendy or Seulgi in their songs. And she is actually the most comfortable member to be in variety show-on par with Joy. She is actively getting involved in composing songs and writing lyrics, and become the one and only member who ever released her own composed song. There are a lot more but I would stop here because it would get too long, as if it is not long already, and I don’t want to waste my time explaining to you if you end up being ignorant, so yeah. And I don’t mind with anyone claiming that “she’s the weakest member”, because not everyone should be at the top in this reality. I myself prefer Wendy and Seulgi’s vocal over her, Irene and Joy’s rap over her because she has quite nasal voice and it is not my preference of vocal. But for me personally. I couldn’t imagine Red Velvet without Yeri, even though I knew them even since OT4’s Happiness.

Obviously you got to witness her skills because we have no choice, she’s part of the group already. The argument is that: even if you remove her, the group will still be able to carry on and have all areas covered. So really that whole chunk of desperate reasoning was a waste.
