tbh, sohyun's always been this fierce. i got into 4minute during their mirror mirror era and she was just as fierce, professional, and hard working then. even when other members would lack on stage, she would perform full out. it sucks that people really didn't see how boss she was for years? like??? what does it take for people to notice haha. still, better late than never. i'm glad people can finally see how amazing she is. sohyun fighting!!

YES thank you, I'm like how did take so long for people to realize, I got into kpop last year and saw their promotions for What'cha Doing Today and she absolutely stood out to me, I fell in love with her, her expressions were on point, her confidence and enthusiasm were evident and then after that I saw other performances and she was just as good, I love her during Nuilliriya and during Ddeng Ddeng Ddeng she like completely MURDERED that performance, she brought out her inner beast during that and I was completely awestruck

Thank. You. So. Much. For. Saying. This. XD Literally just maybe 7 months ago I got recommended the 4 minute mirror mirror song. Immediately fell in love with 4 minute due to Sohyun's all out boss performance. Like even in light to snsd she's got this air about her that makes the camera pull towards her when she wants it and she is so fierce in every performance. I kept reading the comments about how people are glad she's finally bringing it and all i could think was "I know I'm late, but where have you been? " XD this girl is born to perform.

I think she already improved by then, but this song just makes her shine more. But if you compare to her debut days, you can see a much bigger difference.

Christine Lee i mean yea she's grown but the fandom in general talks about her like she was some lazy useless member (i've noticed it for years actually) or they just ignored her completely, when she's been great. she's improved, but she started out amazing especially for a maknae, and like i said, she's always given a bunch of energy. their concepts may have been different and they really let her shine this time in terms of styling, but she's always been a strong performer imo

Idk, might just be me (because she's been my bias since debut), but I've always thought Sohyun has had a strong stage presence. Her dancing always caught my eye in live performances. And I've always thought her and JiHyun have the best bodies. They're both always healthy looking.

Ahhh my Kkwonsso! She's so cute and badass in this video. Especially when she's standing off to the side waiting to go in, so cool and calm and in her element, and then she walks in all like, "I got this. I've so got this. That just speaks to who the label cared for most at the time... it was obvious many of them weren't probably all that thrilled overall with the Hyuna push.

It was HyunA and friends, just like how it was Suzy and friends, Hyolyn and friends, etc. I wish they would just create solo artists instead of making groups where ultimately one is blatantly favored while the rest are glorified backup dancers. I know that's not HyunA or Suzy or Hyolyn's faults, buy it still creates unnecessary tension.

@@Rose0004 From a business perspective, it is obvious why they pushed Hyuna really heavy during these last few promotions as a group. Her solo career took off very well (even if I personally think 90% of it is crap... people obviously bought into it). Still, she got attention from the original group dynamic where she wasn't forced to the forefront all of the time... so making it so obvious that they couldn't create choreography or even a stage setup that brings the whole group on at one time speaks volumes. I am no 4minute fan (I do think So-hyun is by far the most talented, I might like 2 songs or so), but faces usually do all the "speaking" for these performances when there is drama in a group. This is why nobody resigned with CUBE from the group... I guess they even saw they were being treated as less than stellar. People knock SM a lot... and maybe some of that is rightful. But in terms of their girl groups... even if one of them is very popular, it feels more balanced. Just my take!

@@Batman1084CK Oh yeah, I get the business related reasons. I guess, though, after a while, it starts to become obvious when the company plays favorites and other members are mistreated or ignored. And yeah, I agree that Hyuna's solo work is not my cup of tea, either, but somebody likes it, I guess, lol. Agree about SM, too! GG, f(x), RV, and now Aespa all seem well rounded in terms of giving members a fair share of the spotlight and solo projects on the side. I prefer JYPE's music and groups the most out of the Big 3, but if I was an idol and wanted a proper schedule where I got plenty of work and wasn't overshadowed, I'd pick SM.

@@Rose0004 Though I rarely say this, it is nice to find someone who feels the same way I do on this specific topic. :) These labels can all be hell for any of their performers/idols/etc., but you can easily tell the ones that have little shame in pushing some to the forefront basically forcing a group to either slowly or entirely disband. I guess in the case of 4minute, I really just hate it that Hyuna wasn't any more special than most of the other members but had the look. I thought Sohyun always had a better look, voice, and charisma in the few stage performances I have seen (from debut to their end around this era). Wish she had a chance to do more but I guess she is now focused on acting. My wife was even commenting the other day that she doesn't believe Hyuna even has much of the popularity she had prior to her move to the PSY label, but I think that can be blamed mostly on her not really offering anything new for 10+ years... what I would say is a combination of shallow, empty lyrics and very repetitive choreography (even if she is in heels).
