Bowser didn't swear vengeance against the player he swore vengeance against Mario. It was link who defeated Gannon canonically not the player. And likewise the player is not a Canon character in undertale. People think that just because there's some fourth wall breaks in the game means that the player the Canon part of the story but that is not true. Deltarune may have a "canon" "player" but even then it's technically not us the real player it's a in universe player equivalent.

Exactly, there is no evil entity that controls frisk or chara. People need to know that they are frisk, the player and frisk aren't two separate beings.

To be honest, im more annoyed by how they potrayed the player. Instead of curious human trying to play a game, they often make the player with nothing but malice personality. Though yes, i agree that Frisk and Chara is not "Possesed" like the way Kris does, Frisk is more like a... vessel than an actual being.

Bc of the genocide ending where she takes your soul to erase the world and start anew. It's a wrong belief, since Chara didn't do anything but bring back the world, but well, fandoms often misunderstand or just believe whatever they want without thinking it twice.

Chara is clearly an intelligent individual, I mean, hell, they came up with an idea to commit suicide, have their brother absorb their soul, and use his body to attempt to kill humans. I genuinely doubt that someone like that would be so easily swayed by the actions of another… and even then, that causation doesn’t make the tainting of morals correct in that situation. If someone watches their family get killed, and becomes “inspired” by that to go out and kill others to become stronger, they are by no means in the right.
