Excellent video review and comparison. I'm looking forward to purchasing the exact same belt that you've reviewed, a dual plated luxe crumrine Big Gold with a black strap and a red crocodile backing on it.
It's an amazing belt man. A lot of people have turned on Fandu lately, acting like the Shoprine is better. BUT I feel the luxe is better. All the letters are the right size, you don't have to add your own clear coat to make it shine, and you get real leather.
@@doonan662 I agree 💯 percent, I even don't know why would people turned on the Fandu Luxe Crumrine Big Gold. I mean it's still the hottest Big Gold for 2 years. The WWE Shop version of the NWA/WCW Big Gold sucked. Like I said before If life spare I'm going to get myself a beautiful looking Fandu Dual Plated Luxe Big Gold belt!
Thx great vid. I just got my luxe. Basically identical to yours. Love it ...but Im a lil worried about discoloration/tarnish over time. Im hearing about it here and there... and you v3 nameplate seems to have some.
Yea my V3 nameplate definitely has a bit of tarnish on the N I believe. I don't know, it's like a risk we take no matter where we get our belts. I've seen guys with Classic Shields belts have tarnish issues.
I don't think any company has come out with a 100% accurate reproduction of the Big Gold. Classic Shields makes some extremely nice looking belts, but even they aren't completely accurate. A lot of people love that Groovy G belt, to me it looks like a toy and the weight is lighter than anything in my collection. The Shoprine, looks amazing from a distance. But up close you got the font sizing problem, and the legs on the grapplers looking wonky. Now guys are even needing to add clear coat to them to make the gold look better.
I am looking to get a big gold belt butwant the best opinion on which to get now i do want dual plated best detailed version for my first belt i owned in 20 years my previous beltwas the big eagle back in 2003 black strap
@@doonan662 you have a shoprine also, whats the wwe site name for it , ive looked and its not called shoprine but at least the fandu luxe doesnt have lettering size issues right
@@doonan662 thanks for the swift reply. thats fantastic to hear and basically all i needed to hear too. been trying to decide which version of my next BG i was gonna go with and i think Fandu Luxe it is.
@mrsain19 I think it's all about where you display them. I keep my belts in a cool, dry room, and I haven't had any issues. My theory is that humidity causes problems.
@@doonan662 and see i live in a very humid climate, but none of my other belts have tarnished and like you, theyre all kept in a cool dry area. but it does sound like fandu has stepped their game up considerably. i think everyone has in the belt marketplace. CS for sure has.
I'm in northern Ontario Canada and the longest I've ever waited for a Fandu belt was 2 weeks, usually only 1 week though. Doesn't take long. That antique definitely looks nice I almost bought one.8
groovy will likely tell you himself that the strap on his isnt the greatest, but from all accounts the plates are top shelf. he almost insists that you get it re-leathered. if i recalled reading, if he gave any attention to a better strap, he would have had to increase the price point and that wouldnt have been good business for anyone, he or the consumer.
