We held back on checking out this band on our own time a couple of years ago, when we were deciding whether or not to start a reaction channel. Now, we're really having fun with this incredibly talented group. We can't wait to hear what else they've got. Enjoy!

Howdy, Folks: I really like Fanny too...Aw man, don't get me started. I am very pleased to hear this. After only really knowing I've Had It by them, I thought that they had just picked up their instruments a couple weeks before as I remember how amateur they sounded. This was very well done.

I did a bit of work for them on their visit to London in 1971. They were very nice people and they worked it that night. Had to because they were opening for Jethro Tull.

One of the greatest bands ever to never really make it big. This performance was so much better than the studio version. Alice De Buhr is the drummer knocking it out of the park. The rest of the band are so tight as well.

There was also an all-woman rock band called Birtha - played at the same time as Fanny (Millington sisters et al)

A shame that all the Beat Club stuff has to be blurred out - apparently even the band members are unable to use it. Anyway, lots of other Fanny material on YT, including a documentary tracing their history, which is fabulous. A couple of hours long, but even a partial reaction would be great. i have a playlist which links to many of the best ones around. Nicky Barclay singing on this track was just wonderful, unfortunately she wouldn't co-operate with the Documentary, so only has small parts. One of the saddest parts near the end was seeing how Jean(bass player) suffered very badly from a nasty illness, just as they were releasing a new album only a couple of years ago. A hard watch at that point.

It’s a shame I’m not listening to the rest of todays posts due to that hellish track and reaction to it of that earlier Boy George BS .. so I can’t say that Fanny are a sublimely talented bunch of musicians and songwriters and this set done on Beat club also contains my fav track of theirs , the Beatles cover , Hey Bulldog . I only found out about Fanny about 2 years ago and am totally smitten with their energy and ability ….. but of course I can’t say ANY of that as I stropped off earlier in a huff at the tosh spoken about Boy George’s drivel and didn’t listen to any of the other posts and I’m a man of my word .. 👀 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
