Listen I voted for Bergamo so don’t lynch me on this… At least GT Vegeta actually FOUGHT in GT. Videl didn’t even fight in Super and paying for this character is not for me. This slot could have been Bergamo or maybe a cool and unique version of Fu.
Out of all characters they could've added Gt goten, Og kid goku, demon king piccolo, CC Goku, Copy Vegeta, Tarble, or SSJ3 broly...but we got dbs videl?
I'll admit, it is weird. It'd be like seeing Chi-Chi fight. They both used to be fighters, now they're housewives, seeing them fight again makes sense though since they have experience. I'm sure Fu will compel Videl to fight for some reason in the story since we are revisiting the Battle of Gods time frame.
@@ToonRaider hold up, correction, videl is not a mere housewife, she is a martial arts instructor in super hero, have you not watched the movie or paid attention? she was busy at her job and thats why she was having piccolo pick up pan. so yes, dbs videl does still fight, she just hasn't been shown fighting onscreen.
@@infern24 Thanks for the correction! I know she's a martial arts instructor. But many people for many years thought she was still just a housewife. Super Hero only recently established she's also a martial arts instrucor, so I kind of had a lapse in my memory. But it doesn't change much, especially with how people who want Videl to be more relevant in fighting feel.
To be fair these recycled characters still play different, bring new skills, and have exclusive and new traits. Videl and 18 have already displayed new combos and skills. New characters would be nice, but a different form or version of the character is mostly fine. - 18 & Videl could have been presets or Gifts for our partners to change their attire. But so long as they play different it’s still a new character. Almost every recycled form character plays notably different.
KingPhantom/BlackTalon used to do that but he long since deleted all or most of those videos unfortunately. Which is a shame because they were hilarous
1:30 Goku and Vegeta are just that popular. Android 18 and Videl don't really compare to them. People would rather have more variations of Goku and Vegeta than Android 18 and Videl
Very dumb copyright reasons. I genuinely don't understand it. The only potential theory I have is that they wish to preserve DBH and keep it strictly in Japan (for the most part) so that DBH arcades don't stop making so much bank. Think about it. Would you rather play a turn based system that hardly has any gameplay or a game like XV2. If they added something like say... (SSJ4 Broly or Masked Goku Black) it would most definitely negatively impact DBH sales. At least that's my theory. But honestly it still doesn't make much sense because XV2 is more wide spread and is a home console game, therefore far more accessible and makes more money.... so why... why wouldn't the greedy business of Bandai Namco not seize the opportunity? It's very puzzling.
I've heard this but idk about it. Dokkan Battle has Heroes characters. XV2 itself using Xeno Trunks, Supreme Kai of Time, Time Patrol, and a lot of other elements from Dragon Ball Online that Heroes also used. I think they're also using the Fu Heroes design (unless he appeared in Online as an adult, I'm not aware). I just think there's probably something else up.
@@ToonRaider There's really no telling. Ever since DBZ went from a work of art- to a product, the way the series and everything related to it have been handled has been very questionable. And those points you brought up are probably the biggest contradiction to the copyright law theory. Especially Fu, because he appeared as a baby in DB Online and he first appeared as an adult in XV2.
What but Towa, Mira, Fu, the Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa, Time Breaker Bardock, Xeno Time Patroller Future Trunks, and Demjgra are in the game! Those are both online & Heroes characters. That makes no sense.
Honestly, I don't mind the same character being released for DLC as long as they have new skills/move sets and there aren't several different variations of them in the game, which is why I'm not upset about Videl and 18 being DLC. I do understand some people's disappointment but I mean if we've gotten so many variants in the roster already should we be too surprised that Bandai would add more? I was more upset that we got another vegeta variant for DLC since we have 6 to 7 of him already.
Videl's moveset seems to be taken from her fight against the Bus Hijackers when she first met Gohan. Referencing her finish motions with her hands. Another might be from the Bank Robbery Fight and possibly after checking the Janemba Movie and The Hirudegarn Battles. And also possibly a mix of her family members and a few other places. Like her training with Gohan. Also seems to have some moves from Fighterz
@@esincorporated6123It's actually a bit impressive to me how deep some of the dragon ball games can go to create a character. Every single movement, animation, fight and art cover seems to be something they can work from.
@@AstraFulminous it's definitely better LOOKING than the original base game Videl, but.... I doubt it'll be better. I'm predicting all of these "NEW" characters will be extremely stiff and clunky and most likely drop combos in latency.
Videl and 18 probably just fit what they wanted to do for this dlc pack more than others. Considering Ultra Supervillain is the main point of these new dlcs, any new non USV like Bergamo probably aren't the main focus for em anyway.

I voted for Bergamo cuz he's a new character that would add diversity to an already less diverse roster. All these dumb kids wanting different versions of the same character is one of the reasons why I don't play the game anymore. So everybody start praying for our big wolf boy to make it as a DLC character.
i honestly felt like they should've been added android 18 from super cause I hated doing the dlc quests and seeing her in that old ass outfit she had. plus she was important to the tournament of power and they added ribrianne before her. I just hope that vegeta and goku black have new moves and combos and that we'll get newer characters that haven't been in any dragon ball games.
The only problem is that videl never fought after the buu saga the main reason people hate it is also because we actually need new characters like ANY OTHER hero troopers
People voted Goku or vegeta because they thought they’d give us ui/ssj4 awoken. They did give us ui but as a totally separate thing like two years later
Videl is a also material arts teacher now by super hero, so at the very least if she does become relavant again this would be nice starting point as well.
What really rubs me the wrong way isn’t that we’re getting these characters, but it’s that both of these characters are in the same pack. Let me explain. GT Vegeta being in the game was an awful choice, and DBS 17 was a bad choice too, but at the very least they had other characters to back up the pack, even if it was just one. This one has 2 characters that essentially could’ve been custom partner outfits. (Only reason I don’t include DBS Gohan in this list is because of his transformation, but he still wasn’t all that great.) Say they put Bergamo and Videl in the first reveal, and 18 and whoever else in the next (Hopefully Gero). It’d just be the smart thing to do. Yeah, they still would release those copy characters, but it looks better when you have 1 original character to back up a copy character.
God, xenoverse 2 is done. Why don't they just add a new style to characters who already exist? It could've been another character like Bergamo? I agree with you at certain point why add characters that is their you can always add them to their slots as bonus but a dlc is some characters that you don’t have yet that will be more worth like kale califa and cabba it’s just because of the lazy updates
My main problem with this game and it had a lot of problems I'm dropping it once sparking zero comes out but my main problem is that there dropping basically reskins of characters like this is fing Fortnite like we don't have 1000s of characters to pull from dragon ball LET ALONE WE DIDN'T EVEN FINISH HALF THE CHARACTER ON THE DAMN LIST ITSELF PEOPLE ARE STILL MISSING TRANSFORMATION
I think the reason why they can't use manga characters or forms is mainly due to Japanese copyright so they have to dance around a lot of stuff also I find it funny that the same ppl who hate this dlc are the same ppl who voted for UI sign goku XD
When it comes to it. Videl is just an odd choice but they made GT vegeta fun so i believe it will be the same thing here. Android 17 (DBS) fought in the tournament of power and showed off quite a bit which is why people where cool with him but Videl has done nothing.
Look i get it, 18 and videls fans gotta eat too. However there isn’t enough material for their move-set that will entice players to get them and they don’t really have relevance or importance in the plot of xenoverse two to add them as paid dlc. If anything they should’ve been added WAY earlier for free, at least Videl anyway. 18 could have been added along side 17 instead of reusing her old model for the pq missions. It just doesn’t feel right to add them now, especially not for the introduction of the new dlc story and characters.
But bottom line there isnt anything wrong with her fighting in her super outfit its just the way they went about it annoyed me like why make her a separate character and not a preset that will be ok because you have goku and vegeta dragon ball super as preset along with gohan in resurrection f why not just make her super outfit a preset along with 18 outift being a preset and when they did that they can put bergamo and roshi or wrath broly or hell since they added 21 why not shallot
I'd personally prefer them to take the time in terms of adding new offline and online game modes. These DLCs only last a week or two for me then I stop playing entirely till the next DLC. Thankfully I haven't purchased any DLCs after the one with Super Baby 2. I game share with a friend who shares the same feelings as I do with this game but still buys the DLCs, lmao. I told him that I'll purchase Sparking Zero and thats what I'm looking forward to 🤷🏽♂️
The way I see it, no matter what Bandai and Dimps do with this game, it will always remain a fundamentally flawed game with a tarnished online experience that they never truly went out of their way to fix. It's all just DLC after DLC, and to be honest, most of them aren't even really good DLC. DLC like Champa, Cabba, Android 13, DB Super 17, recycled characters like UI Sign and Base Gogeta just. The incentive of buying these DLCs are still there because it adds customization to your characters and/or seeing characters you like be playable in the game, but you still have that awful, barebones online experience that has heen this way for years. Next gen update isn't gonna make it better, so Sparking Zeeo hopefully will
We should have gotten Granolah and moro instead of these two characters that no one funking wants as a dlc characters we should have gotten NEW characters who are actually interesting

In my personal opinion. I LOVE Videl, number 1 favorite female DB character but I feel weird about this. Her moveset could've been a updated preset for the already existing Videl same with the outfit. I'm more annoyed at how long it took to get something as basic as both DBS Videl and 18
There isnt enough Gohan and Videl screen time of the two being together raising pan. There is so much that can be focused here on seeing Gohan becoming a father. We only see Gohan and Videl bond in DBZ before Buu shows up.
I would’ve enjoyed a super saiyan 2 or 2 and 3 future saga update instead of android 18 or Goku when he gets the blow glow effect idk if that’ll be a whole new thing in on itself but I think if they are gonna just remake characters quit the D riding on Goku and Vegeta and give idk future gohan a shot or even Gowasu being evil and taking Vegetas body for Vegeta black and goku black to fuse into Vegito or Gogeta black and I feel like that’s probably too much of long shot but what do I know im not working there.
Also I find it hilarious how everyone is complaining about this.. the same mfs who voted for ui Goku and GT fucking Vegeta… like we already have so many Goku and Vegeta reskins in this game.. Android 18 and Videl are refreshing at this point.
I'm just shocked this game's still getting dlc after all thise years. I haven't played since 2016 🤔 but i understand how people feel. Dragon ball always did had a problem with reusing the same fighters over & over...agisn & again. At least the story mode is different tgis time; so that's a plus. But they could've added a ton of different people. But it's nice they haven't cut support for the game yet. Most companies stop supporting the game wityn dlc after the first two years.

People need to chill a bit, but I understand why the first wave being a recolor of Goku Black and Vegeta, alongside Videl and Android 18 may upset people who want Bergamo. Like you said, I also say in the video, there's more to come. But I get why people aren't into this wave so far.

Hell they could've even given us something like I dunno. A pack that puts Super 13, FP Bojack and Majin Android 21 into the game. Db fans can be such cry babies 😂 to the people disappointed, there is no new media to even pull characters from. You want new content but where exactly are they supposed to pull characters from? In this dlc, they actually came up with a brand new story for the first time, including two new variants based on that new story. They’re also giving us at least three new dlc after this. They can’t pull from heroes because its a completely separate game. As for the manga, someone correct me if im wrong, but the manga has never made it to any db games. Not to mention the whole purpose of the DBS manga was to promote the anime. The only option is to adapt existing characters into their new story (which is likely the case for all 4 characters) or create completely new characters which they only did once with fu, who i think was first introduced ever in the history of db through xv2

Well with the point of the video. Honestly thinking about it now, I'm not too sure Xenoverse 2 really is with its last boost. And overall there's just too much happening with it, for it to not be able to continue further. Not only does it enjoy at least 10 million copies sold and at least one million players daily, but the game is about to introduce an entirely new paid form of currency in order to unlock exclusive items, Also has around 59 extra partner keys and various other items that have been data-mined to go, multiple characters that could be added to the game, up to 7 yearly festival of universes events that might occur, and a link to a sister game that we have up to at least 7 more episodes of content/potentially season to go and possibly even more beyond. And to top it all off an expectancy to also include anything new that might come to Dragon Ball overall. Such as Daima, The Return of The Anime, and an Unreleased Move So at bare minimum that's like at least 21 months to 6-7 years more that the game itself is set up to continue.
Plus and here's an interesting angle, as long as there is demand and desired content for potential Xenoverse 3. It also can exist as demand and content for Xenoverse 2. And the two ideas roughly share the very same potential. Because at this point Xenoverse 2 is basically like FFXIV.

Well i mean when you stop to think about gt is basically just the original dragon ball super so there is basically different material they could do with gt vegeta with his final shine technique and new techniques and if we have gt goku why not gt vegeta but videl super is like we have z and great saiyaman 2 which are 2 valid characters why do we need super videl who has never fought and never brought anything cool to the table and if they were gonna add her why not make her a extra preset like with the end of z goku or nappa with hair
Like if it helps vegeta gt is basically like the hypothetical far future variation of z/super that is much stronger then before so its like in a way its not much as we getting the same character like for example its not like were getting piccolo from super or krillin from gt because for one krillin from gt doesnt fight that much and is kind of lame and feels like its practically the same as krillin from if he was added in this game or piccolo from super which despite being stronger feel kind of the same as the original piccolo if added to this game
I don't really care about the characters I always play my custom characters which makes me feel like I'm part of this universe which is why I'm sure it's still popular to this day we're still getting new content and support so I don't think people should complain too much the main thing I want them to add is more story mode awoken skills and hopefully one day more custom appearances and clothing for our specific custom character races everything else is just a bonus
It's not the characters that make me made. It's the fact that they will add as many characters as they want, and they still won't fix the major problem with the game that is terrible net code so that playing online can be way better than what it is, and make it so that peaple on different consoles can play together. Fix the problem that the game has been having for a long time, and I guarantee you that will bring more life into Xenoverse 2.

Goku, Vegeta, 18, Videl…. I’m surprised they made Dyspo honestly. I wish they’d make make the stuff we been asking for. More accessory slots to put on more than one, Saiyan hair that changes on transformation, Ss4 awoken skill, moving tails, more love to other races besides just saiyans like new awoken skills (orange namek, black freeza, tall skinny majin…) new charges ( like majin steam charge or electric or different colors…) better raid rewards…. And make new characters. Can’t use manga? Fine, make something up! Both Brolys fuse or something crazy. Just give us something that feels like it took you longer than a trip to the bathroom to come up with. 😭 (btw, I voted for Bergamo. But knew he wouldn’t get in… 🥺)

I'm not mad or even disappointed because Dimps is Dimps and Dimps are very random and don't really seem to care much about what the fans truly want or consistency. I won't lie the ladies look potentially fun, but with how the core of this game is so fundamentally flawed (ESPECIALLY ONLINE) more DLC ultimately won't do dick diddly SQUAT for the game at all, other than potentially break it even more or worse, give us skills that don't even work well and then wait 5 years to finally make those skills viable with long overdue adjustments. This development team is showing clear signs of fatigue and that they're running out of ideas for content. Tbh I doubt they even wanna work on the game anymore and at this point are doing it purely because of Bandai's greedy asses refusing to put the legless cash cow down because they STILL wanna keep milking this dying game smh. Honestly their business practices are a pure example of why capitalism has such a bad reputation these days. Just pure unmitigated GREED.
I think the biggest issue is that they could easily do Granolah or Moro Arc characters, or go back to taking inspiration from Online and look at what Heroes is doing. A lot of people are not into this new DLC wave.
