I love how Star Wars is expanding and evolving the Tuskan Raiders from savage pillagers to an entire culture and people, like the Wildlings in Game of Thrones. Boba is probably gonna call on them to aid his claim to the throne and fight the Hutts.
The one thing that really sells for The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett is that these are shows are made for Star Wars fans by Star Wars fans. Characters and story arcs that have been seen in the comics, books and animated TV shows are now debuting in live action form and it is simply glorious to watch. Jon Favreau, you, Dave Filoni and so many other creative minds have made me an countless other fans so fricken happy that you all are putting so much time and care in these shows!
They are proper fans of Star Wars to be exact not the toxic ones that make up most of the fandom and have been ridiculously hating this show for no logical reason.
I honestly hope they do a flash back where Jango talks to a young Boba before he goes on the assassination mission for Senator Padmé Amidala. I don't know what they would talk about, but I think it would be a really cool scene.
Apart from Boba forging new allegiances with the Tusken folk, my personal highlight from this episode is how badass that black Wookie was without uttering a single 'uhrg'.
0:46-1:31 Release the Rancor 4:16-4:59 The twins, cousins of jabba 5:00-5:31 Black Krrsantan 7:09-7:35 Train aka Snowpierce but driving on sand without tracks, along with the pykes 7:36-7:50 Galactic Drive-by on Tatooine 7:50-8:13 Kills all the tusken raiders, R.I.P 8:14-8:33 These are the bikers that drew on the buildings. Boba is an honorable man to the tuskens. 8:34-9:17 Tosche Station, Luke's friends, Cammy and Fixer from Star Wars: A New Hope Deleted Scene. 9:18-10:09 Boba Fett vs The Nikto Bikers. 10:54-12:15 Boba teachs tuskens how to ride speeders. 11:00 "Like a bantha" A new meme of star wars 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 12:16-12:28 Still needs more training 12:29-16:46 Round 2 16:47-17:46 Pykes's true faces, they're like fish men, they were carrying weapons and spices on the train. 17:47-18:03 WATER! 💧🌊 18:27-18:38 Oh shit! 😧😖 18:39-18:58 What? 19:00-20:03 Spirit quest. 20:12-20:21 Ewwww nasty. 20:30 They're giving him clothes. 20:51-21:05 Badass 21:06- 21:26 Making boba's weapon. 21:27 He's now one of them. 21:39-22:13 Do the Tusken Dance.
Shocked that no one seemed to know shooting from trains was something done to Native Americans as a matter of course when tracks were expanding throughout the western US
Johnny i dont know if you will see this but YOURE DOING AMAZING!!! From giving us content every week to now twice in the SAME DAY! Bro pat yourself on the back. We appreciate it tremendously.
Everyone else in the world: "Man, I really like what this show is doing for Tuskens. I never really thought of them much before." Me, feeling vindicated: "EEEERRRRRH ERH ERH ERH!!! [Finally after 30 years my boys are getting the recognition they deserve!]"
1. Congratulations to Johnny O'Dell for reaching 50k subscribers. Glad I was along for the ride, and still am. Onto 100k. 2. This chapter is far better than the first. I loved every second of it. 3. The love for the Tusken Raiders warms my casual heart. Best believe there will be cosplay of them at the next Star Wars Celebration. 4. (2:41) Fun fact about the Mayor: he's voiced by Robert Rodriguez, who directed Episode 4 of Mandalorian Season 2 and the overall Book of Boba Fett series. He also directed From Dusk Till Dawn, Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, etc. 5. (4:13-5:00; 5:32-6:02) *The Hutt Cousins* 6. (5:01-5:31; 6:03-6:16) *The (live-action) debut of Black Krssantan* 7. (8:34-9:16) *Callback to A New Hope deleted scene* 8. (9:18-10:15; 14:18-14:34; 14:58-15:16; 15:34-15:37) #BADASS 9. (6:37-6:51; 12:16-12:29; 14:18-14:34; 14:58-15:16; 15:34-15:37) Fun fact about the warrior Tusken Raider: her name is Joanna Bennett, a stuntwoman who was the stunt double for Brie Larson in "Captain Marvel" and Gal Gadot in "Wonder Woman".
The exploration of Tuskan culture and customs was such a delight to watch in this episode. It's so great to see characters who aren't human explored more deeply and taking center stage. I really wished we had seen Boba's Tuskan family in later episodes, they did not deserve the fate they got. Love everyone's reactions as well!!
People need to realize that Rancor from bad batch is the Rancor from return of the Jedi. The Rancor from bad batch is right after the empire took over and the Rancor in Jaba’s palace is 25 yrs later when the empire fell.
Apparently the Rancor from the Bad Batch was female, and the one Luke killed was male. Regardless, Jabba's Rancor pit is empty now, so that Bad Batch Rancor is clearly long gone.
methaporically, the Tusken Raiders represent our Indigenous communities and their culture, how these communities continue to keep their traditions and culture alive, despite all their hardships throughout time.
This episode had The Last Samurai vibes with Boba getting capture and learning the culture and then slowly becoming part of their community. Really well done.
One of the reasons why I love channels it’s because I can see peoples reactions and I love seen people reactions Johnny freaking thank you man 🙏🏻 gives me motivation to become a movie or TV show director take a break whenever you need man cause it’s not easy to put all these clips together it takes hours and time and I appreciate that man 🙏🏻 sending love
Awesome work Johnny. How do you find the time doing this? Unbelievable. Temuera Morrison is having the time of his life when doing clearly aspects of the Maori-culture in this show.
Amazing what happens when you learn about a culture that was previously unknown and fully misunderstood but then once you get to know them you realize that they're really the coolest damn things in the world
With all these new shows (Like Book Of Boba Fett, The Legend Of Vox Machina, Arcane and Moon Knight) Johnny has his hands full. Very happy with how good they are though. Keep it up my guy! Also congrats on 50K!
BTW, the Tusken at around 12, that's a stunt woman who's done stuff for Captain Marvel and the like. Pretty much is the Chief's queen, or what have you.
@ketchup016: Not really. This show takes place 30 years after The Bad Batch, so the Rancor (or Rancors) is clearly gone, no matter what their name was.
We love you Johnny!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to do these videos, for a lot of us, they are a highlight to our day! Congrats on your subscriber milestone!!! Keep up the great work 🤎🤎
I know you for a lot on your plate to handle. But keep it going! Absolutely love your videos! Idk how you don't have 100k subs. Seriously you deserve it.
Another amazing video is absolutely amazing to see black krrsantan in live action for the first time and is amazing to see the pykes and the hutt again in live action this is amazing episode reference to delete scene comic and concept art is a shame that half of the Reactor don't read comic but the Reactor do they reaction is amazing i want to see more bounty hunter like bossk dengar embo cad bane maybe durge or maybe dr aphra so the Reactor read the comic the comic is amazing
I love the whole vision quest. The Tuskens all fight with these wooden gaffi sticks, but... when have you ever seen a tree on Tatooine? In the ancient days there were trees, and those who go looking can still find them.
Jawas are also indigenous to Tatooine, but I get what you're saying. Yes Tuskens are narratively being used symbolically representing the indigenous people of places here that were colonized by Europeans.
