At spring training in 2019 I stood in line and was able to meet Tommy and shake his hand which I was able to do. My step grandson was getting autographs from the players and him and my son found me still in the area where Tommy was, he got in line and when his turn arrived he meekly walked up to Tommy and shook his hand. Tommy told him that was no way to shake someone’s hand and told Alex, my 11 year old step grandson to go back a few steps, to walk up, look him in the eye and speak up when he introduced himself to Tommy and to have a firm handshake. I was so dumbfounded watching this, that Tommy would take so much time to instruct Alex in the proper way to greet someone and shake their, that I forget to video this whole encounter! It was truly an amazing thing to watch and something Alex, my son and I will always remember Dear Tommy, R.I. P.

Don't worry guys! My grandma and many other grandparents will be welcoming him in his transition. I love the memories of watching him with my grandma as a child. Love you, Tommy! Love the memories you left us!
My Mom would have been 100 last November, and she loved the Dodgers, and Tommy. Although the Texas Rangers were her #1, and her home team, she rarely got to see them win. The Dodgers were more fun to root for, because they OFTEN won! Legendary team.
✨Like I Said Yesterday It Is A Very Sad Day In Dodgerland. My Most Sincere Condolences To Tommy Lasorda's Wife { The Love Of His Life }, Their Family And To The Los Angeles Dodgers. RIP Tommy Lasorda. You represented us Italians, Major League Baseball, and the Dodgers in the most inspiring and positive manner, you truly were an Ambassador to the game! Thanks for all the memories!!
I remember being at a game at Dodger Stadium when the Dodgers defeated the giants to clinch the N.L. Western Division back in 2017 in which it was Tommy Lasorda's 90th birthday and they celebrated with fireworks and music of Frank Sinatra in the background! That was very special! That man bled Dodger blue for 71 years my condolences to his family! Let's go Dodgers!!!!
