Thanks for addressing the change. I initially thought these were the same until I heard about Bombshell,but no one mentioned what it was exactly or showed us.
I'll also stick to MMC, they are not that good, but I'm not feeling like spending over 400$ for 3 mini bots, good as they may be, i would out i could afford them
Same. Only things I really don't like about the MMC set are Shrapnel and Bombshell's thighs being chromed and the fact that they have very little paint on them. But doing some sticker work with ToyHax's stuff broke up the bland vibe they initially gave off and broke up the black and yellow parts better. Plus, I mean I got the MMC set for about $100.
Holy cow... He's amazing. Hasbo needs to license some of the 3P producers and help them with logistics so they can execute on the VOLUME production so more people can own these great 3P toys. They're just excellent, but outside the price range of many professions and situations ;) TM, are you a Cigar smuggler IRL!!?
Ya they need to get control of these prices, but I will say these are less than half the aftermarket prices so I was happy to get a set. Sure, cigar smuggler lol
Another nice review. I actually passed on these guys when they got a reissue. I went with BadCube's, it was the PRICE POINT that won out. Fans Toys is gouging it's Fanbase.
Pretty cool, wouldn't mind having these Fanstoys verions but for the price I'll stick with my MMC ones. Only paid $100 for all 3. Cost less than 1 of the figures from fanstoys lol
I would have stuck with my MMC ones, they're great! ...but the yellow plastic under the chrome are brittle as hell on mine. Kickback's wing was broke out of the box & was missing a rivet on the hinge on his back. Stress cracks on the backs of both of Bombshell's knee. I saved one leg with plastic surgery, but the other was a goner and fell off. I dunno what happened to my batch...all my other MMC stuff is great. FT versions are getting the spotlight now...MMC will work at insect clones.
I went ahead and pre-ordered my bug set from Fanstoys for $420. I figured $140 per figures on/near average is pretty much what we pay today for mp’s anyway.

Thanks for the review, I saw these go up on Ages3&up and was about to order, but then I saw the price and I hesitated. The set with the the grey bombshell was $670 CAD, that is over 180 USD per figure which seemed way over priced to me. I've only started collecting MP in the past 2 years and I have 6 Fans Toys figures , but the prices keep going up and they are more difficult to get. I'm thinking I will probably be sticking with other 3P like MMC/Ocular max. I have the NewAge Insecticons and I think I will stick with those instead of trying to get an MP scaled set.
@@TMReviews I recently picked up the FT Kickback and Shrapnel, and just Bombshell to go. I think the purple on Bombshell looks snappier anyway, even before taking into account the cheaper price!
@@TMReviews i watched about 5 reviews on them including Bobby Skullface and Billy the kid no bulshit reviews and he had his brea8outta the packaging and Skullface jyst roasted them but everything he said was right on its like mmc didn't now where to market them whether it was under ox or mmc or the reformatted line and it was like an after thought once everybody saw how gr8 fanstoys offerings of the bugs were check out the reviews if u want i don't always agree with Skullface especially when he doesn't like something off the rip he'll roast it and thats not cool, we all have different opinions and likes but sometimes he doesn't go about it the right way like the cang toys firmament, that figure has world wide praise for quality, paint, articulation everything, and because its not g1 for him he roasted it and people roasted him including me anyways just thought maybe ud like 2 know the little history behind the mmc bugs 👋
I think it seems like some people got a bad set from MMC. My is great, solid, looks very G1 but a bit refined less stubby. I love all G1 including the insecticons, but see no reason to change them out especially not for $600 for a non-combiner team even if it’s fanstoys
