Oooooh. He is really nice. I wish Hasbro would accept and acknowledge FT as a worthy manufacturer and offer them materiel and logistic support so more people can afford and obtain these excellent items. Scarcity increases the prestige of owning these expensive items, but overall, I would rather if more people could realistically obtain them and appreciate them.
I could never figure out why they didn't try to headhunt FT's designers at the very least. What would be absurd and hilarious tho? If HasTak just ripped off all of FT's designs and put them out as official MP's lol. We'll have come full circle!
Don’t take this as gospel but the impression I’ve gotten from talking to people who buy directly from retailers in China is that FT and Takara are much more accommodating of each other than people think. The Robot Paradise example is a potential affirmation of this.
I'll definitely concede that this has the more authentic G1 looking alt mode when compared to the MMC one, but I kind of prefer the MMC one's shape a bit more... It just seems a little more insect-y with the narrower body.
@@TMReviews Caution: The chromed yellow plastic on certain batches of MMC insecticons are suuuuper brittle. I've had 4 breakages on my set. Watch kickback's wings (also missing rivet on my copy), bombshell's back of the knees, & scrapnel's insect legs. I'm always careful with my stuff cause, man, who can afford to replace it lol. That said... 4 fails in a set just gutted me cause they're actually really awesome otherwise. Only issues I've ever had with MMC too.
@@TMReviews Just something to take into account. There's other people who haven't had any issues. If I were to buy them again, I'd wait for a new re-release that might've fixed CQ problems.
Nice review to a cool figure. I’m waiting for mine to arrive soon and can’t wait to get my hands on it. Im really happy FT decided to reissue the bugs and dinobots for collectors that missed them the first round. Just wishing they made more quantities cause they are still difficult to get. If you are up for it, I really hope that you do a video specifically aimed at the Insecticon spare legs swap. I did both of mine and it wasn’t too bad, but it took flipping through a number of videos because I didn’t want to convert them to bug mode, and I’m still very curious how people who have the alternate legs on Mercenary think his back should be transformed to minimize the mess.

@@TMReviews I know, they're near enough the same price as the mp 52 seekers and you can't compare. The insecticons are cool but small and simple. Should be 150 for the set. All of their stuff has been overpriced for a few years now.
Cool figure, but the price on these insecticons is insane. Fans toys should make a pack that you buy with all the figures, at the moment the price is driving me away
