Gotta be honest … I’m TOTALLY SATISFIED with DS …. & for the price difference it’s not even worth it to even check the FANSTOYS out … But that’s why I HAVE YOU TO DO IT FOR ME LOL
The DS hips are drop down so u could've collapsed them to hide the Hinge...plus the ab crunch is awesome on the DS...the only + I see in getting the FT is the paint & tapes but at that price I have to stay with the DS...love the vids Mr. Mike!!!
Great comparison Mike! Thanks for doing these, it keeps me from having to buy both. The DS is gonna be good enough, not a bad job by Fans Toys though. Gonna stay put. Thanks again!👍🏼😎🇺🇸
Yeah, the sentiments shared by some of your other viewers makes an important point. The quality of these figures are getting so good that there’s becoming less and less of a distinction between two brands. Six or seven years ago Fans Toys was so far ahead of everyone else that a lot of people simply would always hold out for the Fans Toys figure. That’s no longer the case.
That's the downside of modern engineering: if you want both modes to look great AND be accurate, you can throw simplicity down the toilet (ex.: ANY iteration of the MP Seekers, MP Sunstreaker, MP Optimus Prime 3.0, etc.)...unless a character was fairly simplistic by design in the first place; ex.: the MP Datsuns, MP Soundwave, MP Starsaber, & MP Hot Rod (despite his design flaws) are effectively the G1 toys with extra steps.
Is the mistransformation on the hips intentional during your comparison with the DS? Also, the heels come mistransformed out of the box. There's a clip underneath the feet. Fixed the stability issues for me, at least.
That is a cool feature of the DS with drop down hips and that is how I display him. Good info on the foot clip I show that in the during the transformation.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Nice to know that you did it during transformation. In all honesty, I just skip FT transformation videos because it just feels like I'm watching a slasher flick.
@@paperstrawmedia I didn’t see him notice and I watched the transformation so don’t worry haha. Maybe he just means he showed the tab that folds or I missed it also
Huh. Looks like FansToys done learned something after all; it seems that unlike their Rumble/Frenzy mold, the Rewind/Eject mold doesn't have craptastic arms. (Those legs are still completely awful, though!!) But wow...I think that I'll just stick to tryna hunt down the KFC aka XTB one...and the tapes...and try to find a way to get their Tape Minion "Mandy" (Rosanna) by herself, without having to get their Twincast. (I don't mind gettin' the Legacy Twincast for mainline since I have Siege/35th Anniversary Soundblaster) And speaking of ginormous...whaaat, no Titans Return Blaster comparison?? That transformation... somebody call the Ghostbusters on it, cuz that is possessed!! 😳🤨🧐 (Like about 90% of FansToys transformations)
Imo both the DS and FT are great figures. DS is definitely buch better in articulation than FT and was gonna pass on the FT, but after seeing different reviews, I gave in and bought one. Once in hand, he's a really good bot! Great paint, heft (lots of die-cast) and very toon. Shoulders being droopy on FT are actually toon accurate, but happy to have both.
