Was actully the piece Ignaz Moscheles's Impromptu in Eb major ( I think it was op.89 ) that was the reason Chopin never released his Impromptu, not the Moonlight Sonata 3rd Mvt. It doesnt really have that much in common with the 3rd Mvt. besides a few part in the piece, and the fact that its in the same key. The word "Fantaisie" really got no meaning whatsoever since chopin himself never named it that.

A wonderful piece... no idea why Chopin hated it. Simply beautiful... perfection.
@eingooglenutzer1474
@eingooglenutzer1474 4 года назад
Because it's inspired by Beethoven (Moonlight sonata mvt. 3 bar 188 cadenza) and Moscheles (Impromptu Op.89). Chopin knew Moscheles and didn't want him to know that his piece contains many ideas of his one. So he didn't publish it.
@kaihagemann9928
@kaihagemann9928 2 года назад
@Gucci Crimson nope. Thats just wrong. ein google nutzer is right, the fantaisie impromptu is comparable to moonlight 3 in the way that chopin copied bar 188 and furthermore the form being aba in both the impromptu and the entire sonata. The piece itself sounds Almost exactly like moscheles impromptu, only that chopins is way better lmao

This piece might look/sound hard to play, but it's actually pretty easy, especially compared to other pieces of Chopin. A helpful trick is, to mark all notes that are played together (i think 2 times per bar? not sure right now) and the rest between those notes flows through your hand without thinking. With that method you can learn the first minute really fast, like in 1-2 weeks. Everything else is much easier to play and shouldn't be a problem.

Serena Causton Understandable. Don't let that put you off though. Almost every advanced piece I can play now seemed too hard for me, and perhaps they were. But hey, I'm not a concert pianist so if I can't play a piece perfectly, it doesn't matter at least I tried. Even the act of trying helps improve my technique and raise the bar of what I consider difficult. Now, I'm finishing off the last couple of pages of La Campanella - which is definitely too hard for me. My advice, from one amateur to another, give it a shot and you might surprise yourself!

If you really started looking into learning this piece, you'd realize that it isn't very technically demanding to play; the left hand just sort of sways left and right and the right hand, you kinda just have to sort of build up speed and control as you progress. Being able to coordinate the two hands together is the hard part because it's something called a polyrhythm. You gotta really take your time to see where notes on the right hand and left hand do or don't hit at the same time but eventually, something clicks and it just feels so satisfying to play at full speed. I wish I was patient enough to devote more time into this piece, but after a week or two, I managed to play up until 0:14 with no problem. By studying this regularly, I'm sure many of you would be able to learn this much faster than I am

Unlike other music legends (Mozart and Bach) Chopin never wrote in counterpoint or really any large monumental works. But what places Chopin among them is his keen attention to music logic and his gorgeous melodies. He also had immense emotional depth and understood just how to depict the human condition through music.
@ethanbrowncomposer
@ethanbrowncomposer Год назад
He wrote large concertos and his later stuff has lots of counterpoint.
@alhfgsp
@alhfgsp Год назад
@@ethanbrowncomposer I wrote that 5 years ago and since have learned much more. Yes, Chopin did write harmony using principles of counterpoint. It just wasn't with as strict of voice leadings as was standard for counterpoint, more fluid and flexible. He was a genius with his presentation of harmony.

So if you read this don't be put off by the sound of it but if you can perform the first 1 minute and 6 seconds you will be able to play the first 4 minutes pretty much.

But my father give me a challenge,, if I can learn and play this song well just in a month,, he will give me some money.. So every after I back from school,, I'd learned it by MIDI.. My fingers followed every notes that showed on MIDI player.. At first,, I'd never believe that I'll can do it without study at music school.. But finally,, I can play this song now.. I've learned it without teacher and sheet music at all..

To everyone in the comments that are beginners and want to attempt this piece. Piano is maybe 5% talent and 95% Hard work and experience. I doubt there is one person under 6 years experience and that is a bare minimum that can even attempt this piece with it actually being in good shape. This is like an 8 years+ song. Everyone you hear play it well has practiced for dozens of years. Just seriously stick with the lower level stuff and come back in a few years and you'll actually be able to play it =D.
