I will say I only think its as weird as it because we're so used to his head being shaved because the more you look at it the more used to it you get kinda but still just weird
I don’t know about that one man. I feel like TFS is a little overrated. Don’t get me wrong it’s a 9/10 album but it’s not on a level of TPAB or The College Dropout
@@JumpedSeal3178 I think TCD is a perfect comparison to me. Totally reasonable to not feel the same though. TPAB is a tier above every other hip hop album to me. Past a 10.
@@Boogalyhu yeah tpab just feels like a complete different musical experience than any album I have ever listened to. It’s amazing how Kendrick has never dropped a bad album for how long he has been doing this for.
@@user-dz8kt9ev9b What do you think it does worse than those two albums? I’d say production if I was asked that question. I think it has better rapping than TCD and TPAB. Kanye has never been able to describe a relationship like JID does on Sistanem on any album too. There are such rich and diverse themes on TFS. TPAB is a different tier for me though. Thats definitely above TFS.
It’s personal taste ok, Anthony isn’t thinking about another album when he rates an album he’s only thinking about the album he’s rating. He himself would never compare the two because it’s comparing apples and oranges
Here I am again, ima just put my thoughts & opinions of these albums (prolly finna he shot but -\_0-0_/- (Here we go, all my thoughts & ratings) Tpab-10/10 (crazy album, production, features, lyrics, topics, all amazing, but also did y’all know prince was supposed to be on da song complexion? Rip) Igor-9/10 (really good album, very interesting production & sounds, works very well wit Tyler) Kids see ghosts-9/10 (such a psychedelic album, & makes me feel like da cover honestly, but im more a fan of cudis parts then Kanye, ik hot take) Blonde-8/10 (maybe cuz of my adhd, but sometimes I feel like songs went on too long, or just wasn’t too big a fan of a few songs but it’s a solid listen) Revival-3/10 (I find dis album funny, funnier is eminem attacked everyone on da internet who hated on it) Daytona-9/10 (wished dis album was longer, it’s so good, but wish pusha had a bit more energy but still amazing) Rodeo-10/10 (one of my fav albums of all time, nottin really else to say) Cmiygl-7/10 (a lot of da songs never stuck wit me, imo da deluxe is makes it better) Some rap songs-9/10 (really experimental, earls voice just makes everything works, & also super emotional, love da hell out of dis, one of my most played albums last summer) Honestly nevermind-2/10 (of course da 21 song, & there’s 1 song dats just straight up hilarious to me, so extra point for dat I guess) Let’s start here-8/10 (love yachtys new approach on dis genre, one of fav genres also, he did really good, hopefully we get more of dis) Piñata-9/10 (da possy cut is amazing, btw imo I think Mac had da best verse, production, & lyrics are awesome, Freddie made a classic wit dis one) Long.live.a$ap-8/10 (grew up wit dis album, & like a lot of da more experimental stuff, like da skrillex song) Mmisyf-8/10 (I respect it for being good, but it’s not good to me, appreciate it for being Denzel’s most mature album, but it’s an album I spin once, and say “ye dat was good” & never come back to it) Simbi-9/10 (one of da best female rapper, ion care what anyone says)(I’m cringe ik) I still need to get to dis (sorry) Also dis one (also sorry) Bandana-8/10 (love dis album, good sequel to their producer rapper collab albums, can’t wait for da third in da trilogy)(hopefully dis summer) The big day-0/10 (ye naw, some songs are funny, but dis album really does suck, dat doesn’t mean his older projects don’t exist, they still hit hard, & I’m prolly da most hyped fan for “star line gallery” aka his sophomore album, if anyone cares…) (There’s all of dem, hopefully I didn’t bore u out, but prolly did)
Im somewhat new to rap, please if someone could explain why TPAB considered a groundbreaking album - i would be grateful I listened to it skipping sometimes, it's just not doing it for me 😢
Listen to what you like. Maybe come back to TPAB in some weeks or months. And I would suggest sitting down and listening, not putting it on while you do something else.
why are there only hip hop records here tho ? im sure its his most popular reviews, but its not like these are the only times hes agreed with the consensus
@@LuxHMrap/hiphop is literally the most diverse genre. You can classify so many things as rap. The miseducation of lauryn hill, good kid mad city, blond. Super different albums
@@LuxHM I think he's got a point because Rap is one of the few genres that is barely defined by its beats and instrumentations. The only aspect that makes rap is rap is literally just to have someone rapper over something which literally can be anything
Pray for Haiti by Mach-Hommy. I think it doesnt have much of a place in this vid personally as a light 7 really underrates it. Absolute lyrical masterpiece with amazing production all round. Mach-Hommy getting a light 7 on this doesnt seem right at all, I expected an 8 minimum
1. Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly 2. Tyler, the Creator - IGOR 3. Kanye West & Kid Cudi - Kids See Ghosts 4. Frank Ocean - Blonde 5. Eminem - Revival 6. Pusha T - Daytona 7. Travis Scott - Rodeo 8. Tyler, the Creator - Call Me If You Get Lost 9. Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs 10. Drake - Honestly Nevermind 11. Lil Yachty - Let's Start Here 12. Freddie Gibbs - Piñata 13. Asap Rocky - Long Live Asap 14. Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future 15. Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be An Introvert 16. Mach-Hommh - Pray for Haiti 17. JME - Grime MC 18. Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Bandana 19. Chance the Rapper - The Big Day
I listen to Oloff whenever I need therapy. Yeah, I could pay $300 an hour for some college clown to tell me what to feel, or I could just smash great big fucking coconuts on my head and listen to my favourite artist over and over again.
Blonde deserves a 10 or a decent to strong 9 at the very least. It’s incredible and definitely better than the the other albums he gave 8’s. And as good if not better than the albums he gave a 9 or 10
Where Live.Love.A$ap, GKMC, JID, Flower Boy and Death Grips reviews at tho? My scores (for those that I know atleast): Tpab 10/10 IGOR 10/10 KSG 10/10 Some Rap Songs 10/10 Rodeo 10/10 Blonde 10/10 Long.Live.A$ap 10/10 Revival 3/10 Honestly Nvm 2/10
There are times in life where you just want everything to end. There are other times when you just want to listen to Doing It Stealthy at max volume and call your boss the R-word
Here are my thoughts: TPAB: 10/10 igor: 7/10 KSG: easiest 10/10 of my life Blonde: 9-10/10 Daytona: 8/10 Rodeo: 8/10 CMIYGL: 8/10 SRS: 9/10 let's start here: 9/10 Melt my eyez: 8/10 The big day: 1/10
0:51 Quite an unpopular opinion, but I actually like quite a lot of songs on Revival and think it’s overhated as a whole. I think a lot of people weren’t too happy with the lack of rap features on the album and how a lot of songs sounded with beat selections and some of Eminem’s flows etc, but I find that there’s actually also a lot to enjoy too. Walk On Water, Untouchable (If you can get past how the song sounds on the first part), Bad Husband, River, In Your Head and Castle/Arose are all good songs imo with good subjects with some having great lyrical content (The last two songs arguably being one of Eminem’s best songs as a collective). I get it might not be a lot of people’s cup of tea and it’s by no means Eminem’s strongest project but it’s also far from a ‘bad’ album.
Castle/Arose def get looked over when ppl talk about the album. Im not a fan of the album, but to say "the entire thing front to back is trash" is impossible with those last two powerful tracks.
Crazy how Kanye went from on of his favorite artists as KSG and Daytona, both albums Kanye was heavily involved in are on here. As well as him saying that he would give the College Dropout a 10 in the past. To now a dude he refuses to review.
@@samyu986 he said it somewhere fs I can’t remember off the top of my head but he def did say that. If you watch his Kanye Madness and Kanye album rankings he consistently puts Dropout as Kanye’s number 1 album, so even if he didn’t say it, it wouldn’t be very far fetched to say he thinks it is a 10.
The quality of music has dropped and the person behind the music has lost his mind completely plus I don't think he was ever a Kanye fan just thought the music was good
Honestly I can’t blame him. I’m still a big Kanye fan myself, but I hate who he’s become as a person and I do feel like everything he’s released since Yeezus has become decreasingly worse. I mean while vultures has sum great production on it, Kanye is, at times, the worst part of the album, especially even with lyrics that have sum anti-semitic vibes.
