Folks, here are a couple of very budget friendly 500w "pure sine" inverters I have been using in my shop for a few months now that I wanted to showcase to you. Both are below $65, and a good item to keep on hand in the event you really need some AC power.

Another great review. I have the Bestek PSW inverter and I use it just for lighting my small 8X10 shop building, but if I use it to run a fan, it makes "noise" in the fan because the power is a bit dirty. A few months ago I bought the Giandel 300 watt pure sine inverter and it has the cleanest sine wave of any small inverter I've ever used. It helped us this past summer when the power went out during a very warm night for about 6 hours. We used it to run a couple of oscillating fans and some LED lights. Oh, I almost forgot. We also keep small inverters in our vehicles for emergencies.

Those Giandels are nice! I almost picked up that 300w version because I figured it would put out cleaner energy than these two do.

Thanks Brian for bringing these little guys to the table. Great little inverters to take on a camping trip, that's if you have a battery to tout around with you. Was looking around for items these little inverters will actually power. Surprisingly I found a few good ones that a camper might enjoy. I did find an induction plate that has nine settings from 300 watts to 1500 watts, but something like that would take all day to heat anything at it's low settings. I think the best little items I found that could be run on these little inverters besides some light in a tent or some low wattage fans are: Aroma Housewares Select Stainless Rice Cooker (6 cups) - 500watts. Any Morning Turkish Coffee Maker (4 cups) - 450watts Thanks for the reviews.

Both seem like really solid units. I wonder how close to the 500 rated watts you can get before it shuts down. 400 is 80% which is the same percentage as the 2400 of 3000

I’ve pushed it to 460 and seems fine, I just don’t like running these inverters to their max if I don’t have to. Just to prolong their life.

Have been wondering about the ampeak 850w inverter. It is a modified sine wave with a correction that is supposed to be like a pure sine wave.

I really have no idea how much power an electric furnace uses, but my guess is these little inverters would be way underpowered.

would these run a 65 inch tv? new to this and bought a dr. prepare battery with the hub and 100watt solar panel.

I really wouldn’t recommend this for a 65” TV. it probably has enough wattage capability, but the sine wave is not 100% clean like a lot of electronics need to run efficiently and safely

I have the allwei 500 shown. Mine only puts out 112 volts. Allwei does say 110-120, but think twice

It technically could, but I would t recommend maxing these small inverters out like that. They will get hot

I was wondering if this could be used to charge an EcoFlow power station while in commute. It would be a great if i could charge my power station at 400w while driving down the road. Do you know if the inverter is regulated to pull no more than 10a from the car? Or would the inverter pull too many amps for it to work in this capacity? Every test i see on these is directly connected to a battery on a bench. Most won't use it this way. I'd like to see it plugged into a cigarette lighter of a car to see if it can be used at 300w to 400w without it blowing the car fuse.

The inverter would blow your fuse in your vehicle. It is not regulated, and will pull more than 10 amps

I use 12v LEDs for lighting rather than using an inverter. It seems like a waste of battery power converting to ac just for lights. I only use the inverter for devices that need ac.

Very true, but sometimes people still need a bit of ac if they are not prepared to run everything off DC. AC absolutely does “waste” a lot of energy though just to power something like an LED light

Can either of these be used to charge the Bluetti Eb3A from an external LiPo battery, when the bluetti has a standard charge rate of around 267 watts? Is the power clean enough to be accepted and not damage the "solar" generator? Thanks!,

You could, but you could also just use a 2nd lifepo4 battery and go straight from that to the Bluetti via a dc to dc charging cord. Using this inverter would not be as efficient

@@GearGadgetReviews Wow, quick reply, thanks. I should have mentioned that it would be charging from solar at the same time thus tying up that connection. The idea is too keep up with an output that could be as high as 500 watts by using both charging ports. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

One of the comments mentioned that it would not run his MacBook Pro guessing that the sine wave was not clean enough.

I’d go with a 1000 watt inverter personally. You never really want to push an inverter to its max rated output.

@@GearGadgetReviews My understanding is that a 500W inverter would also double the charging input (i.e. halve the charging time) compared with connecting directly - correct?
