I loved the scene with Newt is being taken away and his case is being separated from him. The way he begs to not hurt them is like a mother and child feel. You feel his genuine love and concern towards his beasts. That moment is when I positively fell for his story and can't wait for the other movies.

I grew up with the books and movies (like most fans) and I was so exited when I heard about Fantastic Beasts. The moment I sat in the cinema, the movie started and Hedwig's Theme began to play I really had to hold tears back. I remember every movie I watched as they came out, the exitement as soon as I got the DVD's and rewatched it over and over again. Being able to revisit this world really felt like coming home after a long time💖 And the story is so great! I can't wait for the next movies and to discover more of this world I've loved for such a long time :)

Bb73 666 I prefer Newt to Harry. If you liked this then the Potterverse is much much more much more in depth. Usually FB would be an extention to Potter, but I think that you'd like Harry Potter.

I love this movie, not because of Newt, Tina, Queenie, and Jacob, it's because of how diverse this movie is, and how the message is sent in the movie, Animals shouldn't be hunted, they should be cared for.

I loved Fantastic Beasts, but I could not understand for the life of me, why the Irish and British actors had to use American accents. Back in the 20's, there was a huge population of Irish people living in New York, so the accent was quite common, especially in certain police divisions. The British accent, on the other hand, has always been in the United States, before and after the Revolution aka Civil War. I wouldn't have minded at all if the actors had kept their accents. It wouldn't have diminished the movie in any way.

Allie S but think, the actors, a lot of them for the characters they were playing, the characters had grown up in New York, been there their whole lives, they wouldn't have anything other than an American accent, so it would have been kind of strange for people who had grown up in America to have, say, an Irish accent

Jodi My family is from New York, and because of the enclaves, aka, the separate sections of society at that time, accents stayed through generations. Also many people in Macusa are from different parts of North America, Canada for instance, and there was a very large concentration of Scottish people there at the time, so much so, that even to this day the Scottish accent can be heard amongst its people. If ever go to New York you'll hear all kinds of accents, from British to Zimbabwean. lol

Actually quite a good point. Even going around certain parts today you can hear the accents quite well. Jacob has that nice New York accent you expect to hear from everyone even today. Maybe J.K. left it up to the actors to decide their accents and what they were comfortable in. I know for Queenie I loved how she spoke.

I adore this movie, It has such a wonderful way to it and yet you can feel the world of Harry Potter within this movie/book but it doesn't try to be like the other books or movies it makes it own world it's a wonderful place to be in I find that the music and sets are so grounded yet take us to a magical place we've known before but surprises us with new things I adore this new way of the Wizard and Witches world.

"Beast in us, beast we make in others" this is what Rowling had to say was the heart of the movie. I totally get it because the only part I thought was interesting, was Credence. And that's what the story wants us to focus at. Newt and his beasts were just comic relief. This story was trying to drag our attention to something very very dark. Hail Ho JK Rowling, you got my attention.

Oh man, as a massive Potterhead I really wanted to love this...but it was just okay to me. The story was all over the place, it couldn't settle for a consistent tone, the ending was just dreadful to me, and the characters didn't really change through the story. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt as it's setting up future films (Even though that's not an excuse for not being a good stand-alone film) and hope for the best next time
