As a single Dad, who raised 4 girls over 12 years. I dated on & off, but I always took care of my girls before my gf. This is why I never developed anything serious. In the end, I never regretted this choice. My girls know my love for them is unquestionable. Now that I'm an empty nester, I remain single. It just seems like the best way to live.

For the woman doing the cute sketch about the job interview, I wouldn’t trust a word a woman said about her ex. After my divorce there was an occasion where some friends came over and we were going out. One of the women looked at what I was wearing and said I needed to wear a different shirt. The women go to my closet to pick one out for me. It’s only afterwards that I’m told they did it to see my closet because my ex was telling everyone that I was actually a crossdreser and my bedroom was full of women’s clothes. For that and so many other reasons, my experience is that women will throw away perfectly good men but they have to lie to invent reasons why breaking up the family was justified.

And you told him that you weren't going to compatible WITH him. And you totally never saw it.

Coming into the life of a single mother puts you in a massive double bind. She expects you to raise her kids as the new father, but you aren’t the father and won’t be respected as the father. You cannot discipline her child (without extreme drama), and yet your are expected to pay for her child. If you screw up, or she decides she wants to upgrade - you never get to see that kid again. It’s not worth getting involved at all, it’s a massive headache that will destroy you.

Her dad not only liked me but told her that this American guy is really your best option, because single moms in the Philippines 🇵🇭 have worse dating options than women in America 🇺🇸 do. Since coming to America 🇺🇸 she has actually been an awesome wife. We both work, both pay bills, and lead a nice quiet suburban life. The stand out thing with her is she can’t get why women in America are such professional victims all the time. Since being in America, she has been able to help out her family, and people in her neighborhood far better than had she stayed in the Philippines.
