I love how despite goldenhoarde being the eventual villain of the story, you never get any inkling of that since basically every interaction with him is cut short by Fig making him uncomfortable every five seconds.
@@thedeputydom Yeah i hope that they can bring the tornado into the second half of the final fight though, I want to see the boss just absolutely furious about a tornado full of gold coins.
missing a very crucial moment from ep 9 during the ice cream diner conversation with Gorthalax when the gang asks Kristen if she can teach the secret harvestman handshake to them and she says, "I'm not supposed to, but i'm also not supposed to eat this much sugar ;)"
@@tinywhale3954 As someone who has worked with kids like this for years in residential drug treatment and in foster care, it is still very funny every time they do it, and you absolutely can respond appropriately and with grace--Goldenhoard just can't respond appropriately because he's not actually someone who is trained to work with kids or has any business being in charge of them.
The joke that libertarians are socially liberal Oh is that what you call it Siobhan knows what’s up with libertarians AMERICAN libertarians. I know it means progressive outside America but it’s just that here it’s uh. Not that.
I love how Goldenhoard up until the end was one of the most sane people in the entire campaign, and that's what sold him out, because no one in Spire abides by the rules unless they are forced to by a contract or a quest.
Adaine's parents saying "That's a whole _Prestidigitation_ to clean up" tells you everything you need to know about them. IT'S LITERALLY A CANTRIP, AND IT'S TOO MUCH EFFORT FOR THEM.
Thanks for including Gorgug meeting his dad especially! Long-term jokes turning into actual story beats is my favourote thing, and they were so sweet ;v;
I don't think anything will ever be funnier to me than the "So, you think these guys were illegals?" at 49:19. It's such a well-placed line in the character arc of Kristen, too, which makes it funnier.
I love how he's like "i now have to figure out what you have to roll to jump up a corn monster's butthole and that's wild" and since then that's like not even top 5 weirdest thing's he's had people roll for
It sadly got cut out of the comp, but Emily's immediate suggestion of "Animal Handling?" was the perfect button on that exchange and shouldn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.
3:54 this absolutely unhinged sequence got posted on youtube way back and is what got me into d20, and ive never looked back. cant believe brennan came up with that on the spot
Probably my favorite part was emily flirting constantly with a character that would end up becoming very important to the storyline and him just getting absolutely freaked the f out by it😂
"Why do bad things happen to good people?" "They do it to themselves. They want it to happen." Is one of my all time favorite D20 exchanges. Kristens search for the meaning of life while also being the definition of chaotic gremlin energy is just the best.
"Oh boy, okay. Oh boy, okay" *dramatic pause of contemplation* "I'm gonna climb out the toilet" I really think Riz "The Ball" Gukgak and Murph are incredibly underrated.
somewhat disappointing not to see Fabian and The Ball throwing the crystal/energy ball into the chest in the bloodrush field combat, specifically Fabian going feral and briefly abandoning his fancy persona
Well, in both of the first major combats they split the party, don’t take it seriously enough until it’s too late, and get absolutely fucked over by tables lmao
Vice principal Goldenrod was Honestly a pretty decent principal in public, Brennan really sold the not your friend but still has your best interests at heart type of authority figure perfectly. The party begins to vaguely trust him really early and they most of them didn’t have any suspicions until the end.
i will literally never be getting over fantasy high 😭i know some of the recent seasons are more popular & seen as better but i have never connected with a d20 campaign and cast of pcs like the bad kids! the cast does such a fantastic job acting and brennan does such a fantastic job worldbuilding, there isn't a dull minute. so much love for ever and ever
The Unsleeping City has extremely strong themes, and A Crown of Candy is just a super tight and dramatic story. But fantasy high? Those are my pals, in my little hometown. It's just a chill time hanging.
Kristen only asking one god one meaningful question and Brennen trying to put the opportunity for them to fix that infront of them at every turn was both amusing and enraging. I feel like Ally just forgot what they asked Helios.
yea, i thought so as well but given kristen’s situation of actually coming from an occultish-type group it makes sense that she turned to other religions
The transformation of the lawnmower going from a tank in Freshman Year to being a... "lawn mower" in Junior Year is so jarring. Either the Thistlesprings have multiple lawnmowers, or this is Sundry Sidney's ancestor.
One of my favorite scene is just the moment where Fabian and Gorgug are flipping a coin in the parking lot of the hospital parking lot while Adaine uses mage hand to make it lad on heads fifty time in a row.
Definitely forgot about the Bloodrush fight where Fabian dunks the ball and The Ball and drops his poshness and regular demeanor to straight up flip off Coach Daybreak and be a normal teenager celebrating 🖕🏾😎🖕🏾 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
DUDE I watch this almost daily. This is such a great compilation, and it enhances my enjoyment of the source material. Thanks for putting this together.
Adaine reality-checking that incel pixie is one of the greatest thing in TTRPG history I've ever seen. Absolutely destroyed him and he was even too dense to not realise her comment about having nothing to offer meant he should improve himself before complaining about others.
This is a very deep cut, but i JUST realized the motorcycle has the same vocal profile as Rykard, the god devorer. just imagine the bike saying "SI' IR! TOGETHER WE WILL DEVOVOR THE GODSSSS... but dont let the ball on me i HATE the ball..."
Every time this video pops up in my recommended, I watch it. Every time I watch this video, I need to rewatch the entire campaign. I am stuck in an endless loop.
