Most of us who natively speak arabic find it easy to do the fast runs /semitones and scales because they are in every arabic song ever so we do it without even realising that we're doing it. We call it 'orab'

Excellent analysis of a song I'd not seen of her's before and so good to understand a little more about the Arabic musical style. Agree totally about how she sings in the sweat spot of her vocal range which then makes her higher notes stand out. Singers who start high have less room to go during a song and thus a flatter less interesting performance. She's young and stil developing as a singer, but she's still be able to sing this song in 20 or 30 years time without having to transpose the song down in key.

Thank you for checking this out. My favorite song of hers might be Bad Dreams, she wrote it when she was 14 if i'm not wrong, the lyrics are so good as well. Btw, since you mention belting a lot, have you thought about checking out Sohyang's "Everyone" performance? You may have alot to talk since she her mix is insane (not only her mix though), she's praised by well known singers and vocal coaches here as well. Since she doesn't like being famous and sings for god, she might be the most famous unfamous singer :D If you'd do it one day, please use the vimeo version since it may have subtitles and is a bit safer with copyright reasons. :)

I agree with u that there are certain notes (voices) that ALL singers can achieve with practice the help of vocal coaches. but that's as far as I can go, before I draw a line. I think Faouzia & most talented singers are gifted with certain quality to their voice at a very young age, it just comes easy to them without effort. actually, did u know, Faouzia Older sister worked so hard to become a singer, & yes she took singing lessons too. she couldn't do it as good as her younger sister, that didn't take any lessons & yet, she blew her older sister out of the park at a very young age! Faouzia sister took Faouzia with her to sing at parks & events. she needed her vocal support as background. her sister tried & practiced but her sister (Faouzia) she just listens to her older sister singing and copy's her but much better. No training, just swinging it on her own. Faouzia didn't take any singing lessons, her sister did. give it a go. work on ur voice to have deep dark voice that sound pleasant like Faouzia (it's better than Adel.) record it live & post it, to prove it to all the doubters like me Even top professional singers cannot create new voices that weren't there before, otherwise, All would have it now because that's their profession & continue working on their voice for improvements. for example Dimash improved his lower register, he already had it. he speaks in lower tone... would u react to 14 year old Faouzia & her teenage sister singing Adel's Hello? see how talented Faouzia is at a very young age, and while playing $50 piano & backing up her sister. after Faouzia singing her part, her older sister nodded to her to finish the song... though the title says 15 year old per posting, but Faouzia was 14 per her sister saying it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pllBZN7LVqk.html

There is so much to unpack here I am not sure where to begin. Firstly, I am not an alto like Faouzia, it would sound terrible it I tried to sing like her. Secondly, she has had a lot of music education and lessons. You can not discount the instrumental lessons. There are many singers who can sing just as well but they do not make it to the top. Faouzia is fabulous but she herself would also say there are plenty of other equally fabulous singers in the world.
