Well trained... Yes but all of her own... She took piano and violin lesson for about 11 years and at an interview she told that she never has a vocal coach... Similar to angelina jordan... She learned all by her own learning and training with Adele, Beyonce eg. At the stripped version of 'Tears of Gold' (also here own song) you see also here amazing breath and micro work control...
Born in Morocco, moved to Canada with her family as a baby, but stays close to her Moroccan culture (fortunately for all of us!). No vocal training, too busy getting a computer engineering degree. And.....in addition....writes almost all the songs she sings.
Really enjoyed watching your smile grow as the song progressed. Your reaction was great. Would be nice to see more reactions to Faouzia. But this seems to be your only one so far. (As of right now it’s been 8 months since you’ve reacted to this one). She has SO much out there I’m sure you can find something. Most of her ‘stripped’ versions, like this one, are the best. At the beginning of Feb she dropped a new music video for her song Puppet. It’s more mainstream pop style than this one, but has a fantastic message. When she writes she writes with intension and has something to say, it’s not just words on a page, that’s why she sings with such intensity and passion. Revisit Faouzia’s songs and react to another one, you’re sure to get more goosies! And as for the word ‘chick’ - I like it better than being called a ‘girl’ especially after the age of 20. Jmo
You could hear the Middle Eastern/ Arabic influence in her voice because she’s Moroccan. Please react to her other stripped version songs like tears of gold, elon ..
No! No! No! Don't listen to anymore of her performances! She'll crawl up under your skin and you'll be addicted like I am. You'll be waking up in the mornings with one of her earworms bouncing around in your head. And don't call her a "chick". She's a very personable and independant young woman, but she doesn't put up with any crap. You did see that stare at the end of the video, didn't you? She's put you on notice, so you've been warned. :)
The most amazing thing about her that she didn’t take any singing lessons!! She used to sing from a really young age, and she taught her self how to sing any hard nots by copying what she hear !!
She is the best female artist right now. She writes her songs , plays piano and has an amazing voice. Her style is so unique. Next maybe “tears of gold” Definitely do the stripped version.

I recently discovered this Angel, and your reaction is so natural. I like it. But you have to be honest. You have to react to her other songs, and you will see that she deserves 10, and not only 7.5 as you gave her in this. You can choose any of her songs, but you definitely have to react to "Tears of Gold". Thank you for your job. I enjoyed your reaction.
You should react more to her other stripped songs like tear of gold - how it all works out - bad dreams - Elon (live) - desert rose (live)... if you think this song is the best you ain't heard a thing yet... and yes she writes all of her songs.
