Bought the 52, 56, and 60 in the denim copper yesterday. Can’t wait to hit them. Switched i500s for Mizuno 245s and decided to give the wedges a try based on the reviews. They’re beautiful. Don’t know if the handicap will drop but they look great in the bag.
Great choice on the irons. I play all Mizuno except for Vokey wedges. Woods STZ-230 Driver & 3W, Irons JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro and Putter OMIO 3 Blacked out (so sweet) but I just got a T24 52 the blue and really liked them previously. They released the blue wedges a little bit later and fortunately was able to get a wedge through work. I’ve heard great things about them so happy to test it out.
I love my S23's from this year. They are so easy and effective but I did keep my Vokey just for the sand .... I would love to see a comparison of the S23's and the new T24's !
I made the switch yesterday and can't be happier, these are quality clubs with amazing buttery feel, and they will spin, I got fitted which also was a great idea. I've never been a good wedge player, but my confidence is coming around rapidly I'm actually excited when I have to hit them.
I play Vokeys and are looking to change. Also playing Mizuno Pro 223s, so these wedges are def. in the pot. But I think its difficult to figure out the grinds etc compared to Vokeys, and privewise Mizuno are waaaayyyy more expensive as the SM9s are on sale everywhere right now.
Alex, off topic for a bit. How difficult would it be for you to do some content with Peter Finch and or Matt Fryer? I know its a trip to Manchester but would love to see more of your game???? You could up your subscriptions with that instead of always doing product review?????
Bought two Denim Coppers today One is a 54 S grind with 10 degree bounce 58 degree X grind 4 degree bounce. I can lay that X grind open and it sits flat like a frying pan. Incredible for hitting a variety of shots and manipulating the club face and they look stunning in the bag next to my 221s 225 combo and 3 iron Fly-Hi Mizuno makes nothing but quality clubs.
Great review Alex beautiful looking and a very underrated brand on wedges. I have seen some tests in wet conditions and T24 came out best in front of MG4 and way ahead of Vokey and Cleveland. By the way are the JPX Hot 23 Pro irons forgiving?
Oddly enough a few months ago I got the T24 and selling my SM9 only because my irons are forged and I realized the Vokeys just felt too loud although they performed very well and I can’t tell much diff except the feel of the Mizunos is more in line with the rest of my Titleist T150/T200 irons.
i won’t ever switch from a Vokey, but if i did, it would definitely be these. i know Vokeys and don’t prefer forged wedges. these are the best looking wedges ever made, though.
Good stuff as always, AL. I personally like the Mizuno wedges. I'm more of a fan of the T's than the S's. Having said that, I kind of wish they'd do a full face design with their grooves. Full face inspires confidence in me. Not sure it ever actually helps, but I "feel" like I'm going to hit a better shot....
Funny that us crazy golf obsessed lunatics, can get so excited by the look of a club, it’s got to be 80% of the buying motivation. Irrespective of if it suits us. These look great
Looks breed confidence. I brought a pair of adidas predator boots…. God, must be 20 years ago. The first game I honestly rivalled David beckham for about 70 minutes. Then reality kicked in and I returned to my usual tub of lard game. It was 100% the boots giving me confidence with each cross and long pass. Golf clubs can do that too. Having something that just looks like it’s going straight in makes you feel you can. Then reality kick in that it’s the idiot on the end of the club who at fault all along
Alex...Great wedges..but I went with the Mizuno S 23 copper wedges for more forgiveness on off center hit...much eazier on a 9 handicaper with limit playing time...Thanks...
Love mine too but was really disappointed with the coloring on mine. They came so dull that I can hardly tell they’re copper. Was hoping for a big contrast against my p790s
Hey Al, any chance you'll review the Edison 2.0 wedges? I'm actually between them and these T24 wedges. Haven't hit the new Edison's but have tried their innovator's previous work and they were the best wedges I'd ever played. I wore them out and switched to Vokey but they're just not as good as the Hogan TK15 that Terry Koehler made.
Absolutely love your content Al. The level of humour matches my own 😂 and variety is brill. I’d love the opportunity to join you on a course for a playing lesson if you ever considered that type of content. Course vlogs are mint! Keep it up dude. aka diDprojects
Currently gaming the electric blue 22’s! The sexy blue’s are woodiful! 😂 If they bring the blue back for the 24’s, I’ll snag a set, but I don’t know AL, might go with the “woodys” instead 😂
I just ordered the Hot Metal HL irons 5-GW. I am looking for a wedge to help me with bunkers. What loft would you recommend. My PW is 45 and GW is 50. I also have a 60 in the bag. What would be best to go inbetween and predominantly help with bunker play. Just looking for your advice please?
Love these but wish they would have brought back the blue colorway. Also: they seem to be a 45 EUR premium over a Vokey SM9? If they want to compete with Vokeys for people's money then they really should be on par with them on price.
Is that a ball in your pocket or are you just happy to see me. If you’re not sending products for Al to review you’re missing out on some great marketing, very entertaining review! Good choice Mizuno! 👍
Bought the pro 245’s. Thought I was going to buy the Mizuno wedges to go with them but the vokeys were by far the softest wedge. Mizuno was a close second but vokey is still king
Mizuno strap line should be T24s even Al can hit greens… joking aside I’ve got the copper T22’s and they have been the best wedges I’ve ever owned topping even the Vokeys on feel.. I think it’s just about golfers breaking with brand loyalty, get them to test the clubs and think many would buy.. 💥💥
For years I’ve wanted to try the Mizuno T series wedges out, mainly in the copper finish. But, at last, I’m a lefty and all we get is the satin finish. Other than that, I feel like they have to be winners!!
Most golfers wouldn’t be able to feel a difference between forged and non-forged clubs. Many tests have proven it but from a consistency point of view I prefer it
Would Mizuno be better off dropping the price a little to make them a little more compelling to buy. I’m sure they are top quality and made to the highest standard. But also need to get them in ppls bags.
@CoryLancasterYT no they haven't. They have just been heavily reviewed lately. The next thing will come out and they will be forgotten. Mizuno rarely finishes top 5 in any category when ranked at the end of the year. Which I get it's not the typical "sexy" brand of say Taylormade etc. But it's true.
