Far Cry 6 (PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S/One) is here and it is as massive as you'd expect. Here are some good tips before jumping in. Subscribe for more: ru-vid.com?su... #FarCry6
TIP: Go into the color settings and change the ''pickups'' color to the bright pink color. You'll never miss a pickup again, and you can see them from a mile away.
Apparently this video made the devs realize their mistakes. I just started the game, and there was very clearly a message that told me I can scan vehicles with my phone instead of driving them to a drop off point. Good job gameranx!
It’s been in the game since day one. There is actually dialogue during the first part of the game where the guy tells you that you can scan cars. I forgot his name
Fun tip: if you examine your armor pieces, there's an option to transmog them into any other piece you have unlocked (should look like a small eye icon). This is awesome if you love an armor piece's effect but don't want to look like a shabby guerrilla trash can.
@@joeman107941 Yes you have to wear them. You can change the look of each one but they don't come off and you can't hide them. Honestly I hate the way they look but they're awesome to use so I've just started to not even notice them. Also you only see your character in third person in cut scenes and in the main camps so you don't see the Supremo backpacks other than that. And you don't have the option to play the game in third person.
@@joeman107941 You can't take them off or hide them. Those Supremo backpacks carry your throwables and health syringes so if you were actually able to take them off you'd have none of that stuff. You only see them in cut scenes and in the main camps and also when you use them but you don't see them enough for it to be a big deal. When you're actually playing the game you might see it for a total of 5 minutes out of 5+ hours of gameplay if you don't just hang around the main camps for a while. It's not as big of a deal as it might seem.
Use a bow with EMP bolts for choppers. It’s fun, easy, and a good way to get a vehicle. Great against tanks too. It gives you the ability to hijack or destroy them.
I prefer using the resolver weapon for vehicles. But the bow its good for alarms. EMP arrow takes out an alarm permanently without damaging it so it won't alert the soldiers with noise or by discovering a destroyed alarm since its just gonna turn off.
Personaly i prefer the "zeusito" resolver weapon. It has incredible range, good accuracy, can knock down and even dicintegrate enemies. Also, if you upgrade it, it can replenish ammo while in sunlight. It may not seem like much, but using it during the day it is an absolute beast with no need for reload. Just know, you dont need to fully charge it, just rapidfire it. Then it consumes 1 ammo instead of 20.
@@davidakesson4837 same, emp bow for alarms though. Zeusito didn't work on security devices when i tried it. But emp arrows temporarily disable cams and permanently shut off alarms without destroying em so enemies won't go on high alert after finding a busted alarm. So its good for saving time it takes to disable it by hand or for situations where theres too many enemies around the alarm to sneak to it without killing many of them. They also ring it when they find many bodies
This game is alot of fun so far. Just don't go into it expecting some kind of masterpiece it's just a fun far cry game. It looks good, plays good haven't seen anything but minor bugs, there's tons of weapons and vehicles to use I'm happy with it.
@@sugarray1345 I’d say this game is a lot better than far cry 5, the map is absolutely massive and the story itself is more enjoyable with a better villain
I like the skill tree; I'm kind of sad that Ubisoft didn't include it this go round. But, the game play is remarkable! I can't complain too much because Far Cry 6 still has most of the features that I enjoy in a game.
@@treefiddytwoo but there are some abilities you can't get in a normal game, for example you can't chain takedown in this game while far cry 4 does which is good to have
Another good tips I found is that once you get access to enemy plane (the one that can drop bombs) which you can get it very early through stealing it back to base at montero or the legneds' base, you can always fly high to any AA station and drop some bomb. Also, while you got shot down and loose control, you can steer the plane to aim down and shoot the missile to finish the job before getting out midair and almost no one will actually notice you to continue looting for the uranium.
Everyone was hating on it on another Chanel, I've been having a blast with it. I haven't "gotten lost" in an open world since playing Fenyx Rising at the begging of the year.
TIP: You don't have to equip that plow in order to go through checkpoints. Just slow down and go really slow across the speed bumps. After that you can speed up and you wont have popped tires.
2 года назад
I mean the plow is still a good attachment to have in cars coz it like pushes any four wheeler like it's fun to watch my car yeet military jeeps and not get shot by them lol
id like to mention you can change your loadout mid-combat its been very helpful for me like if i fail at stealth i can quickly switch to my loud loadout. I took advantage of that and the 4 loadouts by making one mainly for sniping stealth on the side, 2nd one is prefect for most situations. 3rd is for dealing with fire and poison. 4th is loud/heavy loadout used for taking down practically everything in the game except soft targets for some reason.
My girlfriend has never played a Far Cry game so this is a 10 for her, for me it's like an 8.5 it's pretty fun but doesn't change anything drasticly. It almost feels like a 'greatest hits' of Far Cry features and there's nothing wrong with that. It plays well and looks stunning. The tropical environments was worth it for me.
Yeah, it's like they ran out of ideas and just tried to make a greatest hits game without any soul or excitement. It's like they just went through the paces. I'd give it a 3 out of 10 and I liked all the earlier Far Cry games a lot!
TIP: 1st thing to build should be Bandidos Barracks camp facility. This helps you get Bandidos missions after you complete the Yara Stories that unlock them. You will unlock Scrounger Jeans that auto-repair the vehicles while you're inside, so for example you could get a Tank and never bother to repair it. If you get the best tank - the Elite (there are 5 tank models in the game) - you could play for hours without the need to exit and repair (virtually you can finish the open world part of the game, counting out the mission where you need to parkour or enter buildings). Also Bandidos missions can get you resources or cash or items or chibis/cosmetics.
For all vehicles, especially helicopters, use the Zeusito resolver weapon to bring it down, the crew will either get out and attack on foot, or if they jump back in, use the original supremo to knock it out in one hit. The Zeusito recharges in a couple of seconds and essentially has unlimited “ammo”. The MG42 Or M60 with explosive rounds makes very short work of everything except tanks.
The game does actually tell you this in the hints on the loading screen, it’s says “scan vehicles with your phone camera to make them available at the vehicles corresponding pick up point”…. They definitely should of made it more clear to players about this feature though.
@@MrBibblington idk if it only works when u get to a certain point in the game but for like first 10 hrs of playing it wouldn’t work for me. It’s been working now though.
@@jb3thegreatest623 I was replying to the other guys comment mate. The scanning feature works right from the start of the game. You just aim your camera at the car, it has to be at a standstill and you can’t be too close or too far. In this video they say that the game doesn’t tell you about it but it does. ✌️
Quick tip: you cannot scan vehicles while someone is driving them. You can only scan empty vehicles and non-military vehicles. Operation vehicles cannot be scanned or claimed. Scanning also applies to horses, yet those can also only be scanned when nobody's on the horse.
It took me hours of gameplay before I released if I didn't have a car someone was in, I could just "commandeer" the vehicle to get the driver to get out so I could scan it ..I was looking for empty vehicles
Biggest help i think I've found outside of this is the level 2 pants set that allows vehicles to begin immediately auto repairing on damage. Definitely needed if you intend on doing alot of flying/ helicopter runs.
I’ve been hooked on this game I’m maybe half way done and I’ve been playing everyday for almost a week. The stuff you get for finding all the relics is awesome. I’ve been using them constantly since I got them.
You get the autocrat really early in this game (unique pistol) and it's great for mowing down enemies really early on in the game, pretty much if you get it you won't need another gun until you complete the first island
Something to do to mess around: you can start fires with the repair tool (you can even light animals and people *also amigos and be set on fire with it too* )
Having a spitirual successor to Boomer is fantastic fan service! I felt down all day when I discovered his grave in New Dawn. Edit: I found out that Boom Boom actually IS Boomer! Hurk sent him over to Yara to help the Guerilla. Sometimes Ubi takes me by surprise by how caring they can be when it comes to fan service!
You can force a chopper to land using the Zeusito Resolver weapon which turns it off for a bit like an EMP. Upon being hit, the chopper will stop firing at you and land safely so you can steal it. I tried explosive arrows and grenade launchers but heavy military vehicles need quite a few hits to blow up. Lock-on launcher has quite an annoying reload time when you're being shot at, so the Zeusito is the best tool against helicopters and tanks alike. Tanks are disabled for a bit as well giving you a window to hijack them.
The Zeusito resolver weapon is also amazing against vehicles, you can use it more often than the Volta supremo, and It has the greatest range of all the emp weapons.
Frankly I was already getting skill tree fatigue by 5. Making the abilities weapon mod and armor-based gives it a little spin, and reminds me of how I played Horizon Zero Dawn: I'd modded each of the top-level armors to be 100% resistant to at least one thing, so that I could change my gear situationally. I'd only wish that Ubi let us define custom armor sets, as sometimes I find that mixing-and-matching pieces from two or more sets to be the most effective for my play style, and there's no quick "wear custom set" button in the Arsenal page.
The original PC version of Far Cry was my favorite, but I have played all of the sequels and enjoyed them all to various degrees. Recently I think Primal was my fave. That was a nice change of pace after so many modern military themed games in the series. This one is coming in the mail right now, looking forward to blowing a week or so playing it.
Primal was really well done! In fact, I bought 6 and quit after a few boring hours and went back and played Primal and realized it wasn't me that was getting bored of Far Cry games but just that Primal was great and 6 sucks.
one of my favorite things you didn't talk about Falcon, is the Cantina. If you unlock it and upgrade it the meals can last for 6 rl hours! As well can be used in Special Operations. As well you can switch the buff at normal hideouts, as long as you have the meat for the meal.
I picked up my copy before I want to work played a little bit and so far I like it a lot. I plan to remote play my Series X at work and get some more time in on it. Man the weekend can't come soon enough lol 🤣🤣🤣
Me and my buddy hopped on co-op right when the game unlocked at midnight (10pm for me) and we ended up playing until 4am. I never stay up that late so I feel like shit but it was worth it.
The Nail gun is so overpowered completely silent very easy to get head shots and what makes it better than a normal silence gun if you miss them they won't be alerted by the bullet impact
Basically all the resolver weapons are OP (except the disc launcher), but I agree that the nail gun is stupid OP. It should only have 5-10 shots and have a long reload.
To be fair, other silenced weapons won't alert them if you miss as long as you have the right silencer. Others reduce noise by "some" and others "greatly" but the difference is the heat build-up to prevent rapid fire. That said, thanks! I was thinking about picking up the nail gun and now I have my excuse.
I started playing this the other day. Me and my friend are having a blast. Reminds me of the older Far Cry games, which were always so colourful and had wacky characters.
Probably one-of the dopest tip videos I’ve seen. 👏👏 It highlights strategy in gameplay elements I haven’t seen in a few reviews. I’m leaning more on buy this now. I just wanna know if I can play this HUDless or not. 👍
Best thing for helicopters and tanks in my opinion is the bow with emp. 1 hit to the chopper and it crashes. 1 hit to the tank and you can jump on it and commandeer it.
You can change weapons and supremos at any time by going to the arsenal in the main menu. IDK if the game tells you this in the tutorial and I just missed it? It's the tradeoff from no longer being able to pick weapons up off the ground and also being able to switch ammo types on the fly. Fast traveling to hideouts refills ammo and equipment, but for some reason the main camps don't do this. EMP arrows are the best for dealing with vehicles. You carry plenty and they refill easily too. You can use amigos in Lola's Special Operations.
I really like my supressed 1911 as my main "combat" gun for close range when I am being stealthy. It's a lot faster to shoot and reload than a single shot rifle and still 1-shot headshots everything when I used it with AP ammo. Not really any reason to use a rifle over it at close and medium ranges as long as you can land headshots. I swap to blast ammo when I drive vehicles though.
9:45 The Impact Gloves are cool and while it is fun to use them, I've actually found the most useful piece of gear for me is the headwear called the Marksman's Goggles. While wearing this item, successful headshots refund the round you just shot. It doesn't put the round into a later mag, it puts it STRAIGHT BACK INTO YOUR CURRENT MAG. No reload animation or cycling of the bolt or any of that necessary, you just magically have the bullet you just shot back in the chamber of your gun ready to fire. This is awesome with a silenced bolt action/semi-auto rifle with armor piercing ammo because you can go for single shot headshots all day long without reloading. Also, since it magically chambers the round you just shot, you don't even need to cycle the bolt on the rifle so you can do quick follow up shots even while using a bolt action rifle. It is an insanely useful piece of gear, especially if you like to slowly and quietly snipe your way through enemy bases.
Was gonna say the same thing. I had a semi-rifle with those goggles for the whole game. and a explosive LMG for vehicles. Granted I wish I knew/remembred about the EMP grenade launcher and bow and arrow. Whole game is trivial with those two.
number 9: When you're looking at the vehicles you already own in the menu under "rides" if you hover over a locked item like a rim, it says "acquire from taking vehicle to drop off point, OR scan with phone" that's how I figured it out early on.
@@fightnight14 so far i am super stoked with the game, looks amazing (playing on ps5) I’ve only played about 3 hours but the tasks so far have been intriguing. This game feels a whole lot more of a open world then previous farcry’s. Definitely happy with my purchase so far this game has me all excited booting it up 😂
I have game 22 hours and I think this is the most complete far cry ever, the map is amazing, love looting in this game, outputs and huge so far, history is very good, this is now my favorite far cry
@@mml4544 I actually just beat the game yesterday, it was amazing I love this farcry. Going to explore more & finishing hitting all the military outposts & treasure hunts etc
I have just recently played through this game, bought it last week. It's really great, I really love the way I get to costumize my weapons, and checkpoints can be taken over, not just cleared and the story. If anything, I would ask for more enemies. Maybe just some specific camps or so, with a lot more enemies than what there are now. I mean, there are supposed to be 300k enemies, and for my playthrough I killed 2500 (aprox, I did start a new+, which is some of those kills).
When playing stealth i usually go for the bow and a sniper with a silencer but it sucks when i get caught because i have to go to the menu and change the bow and the sniper for something else every single time... Wish there was an option where u can save loadouts and switch between them quickly
Clearing the check points takes almost no time though and gives you rank points and resources and helps in the beginning, personally I think they are silly to skip even though I know it seems annoying. Also that said you don't even need the car upgrade just use a horse if you wanna skip them.
Also the fast travel location is useful too. I do checkpoints and military targets first for the fast travel mobility. Makes the story so much faster when you can just jump from location to location
I do the MS16L with the compensator, not a suppressor. The suppressor decreases damage and the MS-16L is the most damaging semi auto assault rifle. Then do a sniper rifle. The White Lotus is the best, but that must be purchased from the Black Market and requires you to do a bunch of these special opps missions. I forget what the next best is because those black market things carry over to other playthroughs. I like the 6 barrel grenade launchers. I usually find the legendary one with incendiary rounds first. I do the single shot breach loader one with an EMP mod on it. I also take the Volta backpack and EMP and regular grenades. I run 90% of the time with the Scrounger gear. It is pretty early game. The reason is when you use you camera you can see crates and such through walls. You also can pick up stuff farther away and even if you are in a vehicle. The best part is the pants let you repair vehicles while in them. I like taking the small 2 bladed quad looking thing as it is the easiest the fly around in, especially in tight spots. It lets you avoid a lot of climbing and such and makes it easy to jump from cache to cache really fast. Just jump out fast after you land and get away from it so the enemy does not destroy it. It also spawns at any helicopter location AND boat location and many of the hideouts in the north and east have them. Those pants also make the tanks MUCH nastier. A quick note.... Pick up all the notes you see. They will flash slightly. Just grab them and maps. Also friendly guy with an exclamation mark over his head. Free any hostages you see on the side of the road too. These will tell you the locations of most things in the games... checkpoints, military bases, FND caches, Libertad caches, supply drops, ambushes, treasure hunts... When you stop seeing the exclamation marks over there heads there are no more. This is a must if you are collecting everything. To go with that if you look at the locked clothing and weapons it will tell you roughly where to get them. Many are in random caches, but not all. After flying around a bit and collecting lots of data ... if you zoom in on the map you will see the caches and such. The ones with the pistol are the legendary cases and the ones with a key are the criptograma chests. After you get the weapons out of the regular caches you will just get Supremo Bond and Gun Powder only. You will also see you can no longer buy them at the merchants. After you have upgraded everything you really can stop worrying about the regular caches. For the criptograma chests you need to clues to unlock the chests. They are orange and held in place by a knife so they are not that hard to see. There will be blue arrows, cloth, boards... lots of blue pointing the way. Some are pretty far away. The mini helicopter helps a lot on some of them. The buggy with the propeller on the back is not bad after you master the landings. That spawns in the plane and car locations and some hideouts. If you ever fly a plane do not use WASD. Just use the arrow keys and CTRL and Space for the speed. Slow way down to land. Also remember F4 to see controls because each vehicle might have weird controls, like that flying buggy has a grenade launcher, but you press X to fire it and Q to open the parachute. Any upgrades you put on one type of weapon can be added to others of the same type at no cost, but you do need to buy them for different types of weapons. In the Armament section on the left are 4 boxes marked with weird hash marks next to the Supremo. I think those get unlocked as you go up in level, but after the first playthrough they do not reset. These are presets for your Supremo, all you guns, and your clothing. I like running Scrounger (like I said) and Parkour. This lets you holster your gun and slide a bit for really fast run speeds. I put the increased speed mod on the Supremo backpack and after you get it there is a jacket that has better stamina recovery. You can keep up with most vehicles easy. I do not use it a lot, but when I need to it is great to have. I do a hunter set-up for extra meat, friendlier animals, and auto marking of animals nearby. The last could be a sniper build or fire or poison. It is up to you. The single most important thing... TAKE OUT THE ALARMS FIRST. If they trigger an alarm you will get far more enemies and far nastier. You might even get tanks and heavy helicopters. Usually you can see the polls with the green lights on them where the alarms are, but in most bases they have at least one inside. Checkpoints only have the one. I like using the gun on the mini helicopter from a safer range to hit the alarm box and the billboard then land quick and gun everybody else down. Usually there are only 3-5 more soldiers so stealth is not really needed unless you are playing on hard difficulty. As far as I know you can lower the difficulty if you are struggling to clear out a location. Maybe tanking a tank is the best way... or a combination. If you have unlocked the laptop then just use that to find the alarms... or your cell phone. Scan the area for as much as you can. Snipe what alarms you can as well as some of the snipers... then drive in with a tank and blow everything up. I never bothered with food from the cantina or cooking anything myself. It was just not needed. I also never take followers as they tend to just be more work than they are worth. Only the black panther is really worth using anyways as the rest tend to mess with your stealth and they can not clime onto buildings and such so they struggle to follow you. Also the only other vehicles I tend to ever use are the one you can summon. It is faster and stronger than anything you are likely going to find and you can summon it along pretty much any road. Now one side note. It seems the mini DLC that lets you go to hell and get 4 special legendary items is no longer available. It was there for my first 2 playthroughs but on this last playthrough the mission is just gone. It is a also no longer available to purchase. This kind of sucks. I'm not really a fan of the mission itself, but I like collecting stuff and that is 4 items I now feel I am missing. I'm about 95% through my 3rd playthrough and just finished collecting all the guns and clothing I could (that are not tied to a mission). I need just a handful of vehicles and horse and a few roosters. The only other thing would be charms but those are really hard to get them all... and boring things like notes. I do not think I have ever got all the USB drives either. The collectables and the soundtrack are likely my favorite parts of the game. I like it better than Far Cry 5, even though a lot of people will disagree with me there (and it looks like Far Cry 5 did sell better). Then again I like Fallout 4 far better than Fallout NV, 3, 76, and 1 (never played 2 or the other more obscure versions). Fallout 4 is probably my favorite game ever (and yes Fallout 4 sold more, has more mods, and more active players than any other Fallout game). Far Cry 6 I would probably put in my top 20 favorite games.
Funny thing, if you do triada blessings and get the supremo and the resolver weapon, that is also a good option to take out enemy vehicles. Since you can shoot through objects you can just take out the enemies piloting the vehicles rendering the vehicles useless to them
You can also equip a bow with EMP arrows to take out vehicles. The only issue is EMP only disables vehicles, not destroy them, so in a few seconds they back to operational status. However, with tanks, you have the option of hopping up on the tank, and either hijacking it, which you get to drive the tank, or destroy it.
Thanks for this, I have to get Boomer now. By the way the Triado supermo with the gun you get in that quest is just broken strong. Shooting enemy through walls and most of them just one tap. While you done using this wallhack, you get the supermo chraged again and you good to go...again !
@@ReallyKeepingFictional Eh. While it might be nice to innovate more, it's also kind of nice how it is. Far Cry just has that same classic feeling every game basically and it's nice when a new one comes out and you're like "alright, time to get back into Far Cry"
They do tell you about the scan vehicle mechanic in the game. You must of missed it. And the best way to take out choppers and vehicles is EMP arrows. Superior range over grenades and easier to get.
I like the little in game jokes, like when he finds the grapple. Been a while since I used one of those, and burning stuf with a flame thrower, seems familiar. Funny as
I love how he talks about the panther as being the best thing to come from the armer and item sets you get from the cave but my opinion the combination of the gun and Supremo is easily the best because I skipped entire boss fights by shooting through the walls in a bit of a tip when you use the Supremo and you have the gun any enemy that you see you can hit you just have to be very accurate you can take out pilots in helicopters and drivers and tanks it is stupidly overpowered
A good launcher can be useful in the early game, but they are all entirely outclassed by the fully upgraded Pyrotechnica resolver weapon. Also, I love Boomer, but he can’t hold a candle to Chorizo.
Thanks a lot for the video. I just got this game, and while I hate spoilers, and like discovering things myself, I know with the limited time I have these days for games I wouldn't have found half this stuff.
I thought it made sense. I mean I just get the chest and bounce. Really no need to loot around and most of the materialz Re in the room you find the chests anyways. And when you have to capture a base the enemies have yet to respawn for me.
incredible tips i wish i had when i started the game, you forgot the emp arrow upgrade for bows when talking about the helicopters, wich in my opinion is the best one
Just bought it.. going to pick it up from Target after work! Haven’t played many Far Cry games but been looking forward to this one since it’s announcement last year.
