@@MrBlancify eh, i reacted far more negatively to him working as a spy for the CIA. a lot of the KGB's spy work was incredibly above board, it was their domestic shit (the stuff they did inside the USSR) which was fucked up. the CIA on the other hand was and is a bastion of pure evil globally.
6:58 Can we appreciate how Anton seems to approve of what she's saying. Honestly, had they not tried to kill the kid I think this lovely little dinner would have gone very differently.
@@ryndaman2855 Vaas is gone, and hopefully he stays gone. I’m only in mood for great villains, not villains without personalities and reasons for their actions. Sure he was gold back in 2012, but he was dead in 2014 and people should just get over it.
Juan is well aware and not silent about his love for the chaos of Guerrilla warfare. Why anyone would willing let a wild card like him on their team is beyond me. He doesn’t care if he wins or loses, he just wants to keep playing the game.
@@autisticallyartistic5882 he seems skilled especially in crafting weapons out of trash making it a main source of supply. He also uses McKay to make deals supporting Libertad. He seems to have a network to get in touch with people supporting their cause.
I like Anton as a character, I like how they interpretted him as a psychologically damaged and desperate person who could do something about his desperation. I think he knows what he's doing is overall the wrong thing to do, but does it still as a redemption, and succession of his family name.
I feel really bad for Anton because the reason he is evil and hates the guerillas and wants people to be “true yarans” by not being similar to the guerillas is because he around the age of 13 and his father were both captured and he watched the guerillas kill his father in front of him triggering his hatred, and you can tell he cares for his and other peoples health because of the effects of Viviro, he and the scientists just create and test it in vicious ways due to Antons understandable hatred to the so-called “fake yarans” And ngl, listening to him care more for the sunrise view for his people than his safety was so heart warming
The words true yaran is propaganda to make people feel okay being treated like sh#t, like its their duty as yarans. He was not a good guy, i swear some of y'all are so easy to manipulate and make to feel bad about anyone 😭,
@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 There are bad people I feel bad for, even though I feel worse for their victims. I know of a set of twins that were told by their village that they were the reincarnations of Jesus Christ and Buddha, and that they must take up arms against their government. It is no wonder they laid siege to embassy at 11.
Anton is the good guy in this story. They are pretty much repeating far cry 4 with the evil villain with good intentions and its better than far cry 4 in that representation.
Anton is a dictator, he is not a good guy, if yall have read dictatorship 101, it is imperative to the goal of a dictator to guarantee results with whatever means necessary, that necessity being through the means of human atrocities, for a dictator must create immense chaos to create the perfect order, good intentions are nonetheless intentional, but the unintentional side to it is what's more important to the dictator, in Antons case he wanted to redeem the Castillo name more than ever after their previous downfall
@@DrHydra47 pagan did become a better leader overtime if you read the Mohan Ghale journals. using more peaceful way to lead Kirat. he only again descend into madness after Mohan killed his wife and his little daughter. all the problem starts again because of the Golden Path. that's why when Ajay comes and he's saying they'll rule Kirat together, it's a better outcome then letting the Golden Path win
8:05 puts me in mind of that scene in Der Untergang when Hitler is looking over his plans for Germania (his dream city) with Albert Speer. As his nation crumbles under the weight of the Soviets, and they are knocking on his door, he believes that even then he can claim victory.
Dani would become something like an enlightened dictator/general/protector of Diego... but nothing would change. Utopia is not possible. Some people always have to pay the price so others can live "okay-ish" life... Yara is a poor country. Foreign investments would enslave it and there is almost no local product with high added value except for Viviro.
@@SkarabCZ Or Yara could have been a constitutional monarchy, Diego functioning as the symbolic figurehead while Dani, Clara and the more like minded allies on her side become the parliament. Sure prosperity might be out of reach within their lifetime but they can ensure it for the next generation.
@@memecliparchives2254 sounds reasonable but i think that there is still the problem that there will be scattered groups of Antons old followers who might not accept diego and dani and also some groups of Libertad would have different ideas on how to lead the country. Except Viviro and probably some tourist attractions such as beaches and maybe some amusement parks, yara might lack an industry that offers a profitable future. In that case Antons dictatorship might have made things a little easier since he had a vision and seemed passionate about making Esperanza a glamorous city.
7:08 I know Anton is supposed to be the main villain of the game and all that stuff. But can you tell me what kind of "good guy" would try to kill a kid in cold blood?
Juan is the secondary antagonist. He doesn't care what it takes to get his way, and he'd happily betray Dani if the price was right. Dani should've killed him from the minute he betrayed Clara.
“Fresh start! Introductions, Dani Rojas, our guest of Honor. Mijo Diego, our gracious host. The little Libertad monkey, and of course I am Antón Castillo.”
I feel that in this story there isn’t good guys. While Anton is a bloody dictator, he only do what he thinks is right to maintain himself in power in fear of what could happen with Diego, and in the end Anton is kinda of right only you in the game truly cared when Diego was shot dead by his own father. And the Guerrila while trying to free Yara from a dictatorship will probably start another one but under their rule, since they clearly have communists undertone to them, and we know very well what happens after a communist revolution, a lot of forced labor and blood, not so different than Anton methods.
It is amazing me how the game just came out and people immediately make clips of it or a well made videos that explains a lots of pots and turns a whole lots of truth sun your videos. Again as always, well done!
These youtubers are most likely given an early access for the full game before release. So while it's only been out for hours in some countries, these content creators have probably played this for days already.
Hands down think that Diego is one of the best characters. Even thought we don’t see him much, he’s proven a lot. He’s gone through a lot and he’s confused. But he knew that dani was good and because dani had saved him and stuff he wanted to help. He also knew what his dad was going was wrong.
I feel so bad for Anton actually he was trying to do good and make Yara better just a few bag things that happen in his past and the progression of cancer and the pg-240 probably is what ruined how great he was ment to be
I love the Arthur Morgan sick old man vibes, but I can’t help feeling bored with Castillo right now. I know a lot about several different dictators, and I know the whole getting sick and dying while their empire slowly crumbles to ash, but I find it repetitive at this point, and compared to other Farcry villains during their last days in power, I feel like Castillo falls incredibly short. I understand the formula in these games where you know the villain will lose, but how costly? But I wish they had done something different here, something besides the lack of multiple endings, because as is, it feels like all of Castillo’s weapons were for show, and all of Esposito’s threatening RU-vid videos were full of empty threats!
You do have point, however to me, 6 beats 3. I personally think all new Far Cry games beats 3. Each game we get to see character developments, they’re not just psychopaths who likes killing. They have heart, backstory and families. Their intentions are good, but their actions are not. 3 didn’t have such characteristics in the villains.
@@privateerbouncher9622 i would argue fc 3 had better story than 4, 5 and primal though. But not 6, El Tigre, Jonron and Clara dying make the story more impactful. Jonron and El tigre were my favorite characters besides Juan. Carlos was cool as well but not as shocking as 2 important ones at once
I hate that it feels like no one gets the real beauty of this games story. Let me explain: Pagan is a psychopath and a drug lord that took over a small and weak country with his army and is still producing his drugs there to make Kyrat wealthy. The special thing about Pagan is that he is definitly the bad guy. But that he shows u that everyone else is just as bad as himself. And the family story between U, Pagan and so on is also very unique to him, just as his crazy and nobel king attitude. Anton on the other hand is a hard, really smart and realisticly written dictator. The backstory of Anton and his family, his vision for yara and his relationship with his son is so damn interesting and unique to him. Also the otherall story is not about family and that "everyone is actually bad" plot twist. But about a never ending cruel circle of war and oppression. And that everyone actually has positive but also negative things about them (related to the war and to yara). A really unique scenario based on what is going on in Cuba. With a really unique antagonist and his love for his country. So saying that the story and the antagonist of FarCry 6 is just a copy of Pagan Min is not just embarrasingly wrong, but also not even close to what this games story has deserved.
Essentially the actual interesting part of the game is the last 2h or so where you actually interact with the villain. The rest is hard work for Giancarlo Esposito cutscenes.
I can’t stop thinking that last days of Antón might have been inspired by last days of Hitler. Both are sick and stressed, it’s didn’t listen to their generals at the last standoff of their capital. Btw imo Female Dani’s acting is so off compared to Male Dani. I thought it would be different, male Dani had more character in him than Female Dani.
@@privateerbouncher9622 thats not the point lol. I wanna replay the game but keep the stuff. Most of all moneda brought weapons that take a while to grind to use again
[SPOILER ALERT!!!] I hate Juan, he screwed everything up, had he not done this Anton would have left Diego with Dani willingly and happily instead of killing his own son! Damn you, it’s your fault this got of control you senile sick psychopathic fool!
I never understood why Juan was so focused on killing Diego. Like, there was no bloody point in shooting the boy when you couldn't immediately take out Anton
Can we PLEASE talk about the food in the table? Plátano frito, chicharrón, arroz blanco and something that looks like salad or avocado mash. All that is surely still warm and fresh (because if it wasnt, the avocado would be getting brown, but it's a beautiful green
I would like Dani and Diego to live together idc male or female their relationship was kinda the same, Diego has a bad parent and Dani didn’t have any. I feel like Dani understands Diego pain because Juan etc they don’t care about Diego.
If Juan popped Diego, Anton pops Clara immediately. Clara was dead the second that shot at Diego was taken. People blame Dani for Clara. No. It was Juan. He wasn't patient enough. I mean my goodness, Anton had his gun pointed at Clara. Was popping Diego really the shot to take?
I hate that Anton has so much similar to du ravello from just cause 3, the color scheme of his clothes, a certain thing they have control over that gives them power, a blue revolution, based in a Spanish speaking country, going mad at a certain point.
Thats what i thought immediately when i started a game. What i learned from games is villians are always red and white or red and black and rebels are always blue XD. Anton is way better than Di Ravello tho. Myself i don't really hate it, i mean the clothes look fitting for the characters. Pagan looked guite gay
They should have offered a choice to the players in this scene, to accept Anton's request and fight on behalf of the regime and finish off Libertad once and for all. It would have made for a great twist and followed up what Clara was talking about in the start of the game, that even if the revolution was successful, Yara would be plunged into chaos, anarchy, and another civil war. Instead, the game just hints about it till the very end and goes nowhere with it. It's strange there are no other endings when all the previous ones since 3 had one (not counting the secret ending), Dani just walks away after final battle and the story ends abruptly and anti-climatic.
@@joshuawillis602 For variety's sake, It would be an interesting choice in an otherwise mediocre story. Characters throw accusations at Dani that he's/she's crazy and loves chaos, but it comes out of nowhere and doesn't build up to anything. If given the choice to join Anton here, it would have given Dani some actual character than he/she does love violence and justified said accusations.
@@joshuawillis602 Also, Far Cry games are generally dark. In FC4, whoever you side with in the end is being just as bad if not worse than Pagan Minh. Side with Amita, Kyrat becomes a Drug State with forced slave labor. Side with Sabal, Kyrat becomes an extreme religious theocracy with child marriages.
@@gloriempaka9474 yeah so many people are saying that Anton was just doing “what’s best for the people” but how the fuck do you justify enslaving humans?
Hard disagree. The moment I heard Nisa's voice as Dani I knew I wanted to play her. Sean's Dani just doesn't sound like much more than a classic male protagonist to me.
First president of South Korea was also a bloody dictator, he went great length to eliminate (as in assassination) most of the Communist party members, made rules that allow him to publicly punish by death most of his political opponents, using political prisoners as free labor. But, like Anton he was also focusing on the economy to lift the whole nation off poverty, form the Constitution, revamp education, open policies for trading, etc . Slowly years by years South Korea moved toward Democracy after becoming a powerhouse in technology and now as one of the biggest economies in the world. How many times throughout history we've seen the people claim to fight against tyranny turned out to be worse than the former government? Have a look at Libya now, Gaddafi wasn't any good but at least the country was not on fire and ashes. You can't put out fire with free elections.
noo basically Anton dont want any kids because he hate them but since he know he may not have that much time left because of his ilness he finally decide to have one
