Just played 2042 for 7.2 hours. What can I say to a game which only got 40-50 FPS 1080p medium settings on GTX 1080:(

After playing Far Cry 5 I played Fat Cry 4 again because I was longing to use specific weapons again, the autocross and the Buzzsaw. While replaying it I was surprised how many villages are in the game. Far Cry 5 has only Falls End, the trailer park and Hurk's cousin's place.

Agreed it’s my favorite Far Cry game I’ve played. I also played fc4, and Pagan is my favorite villain by far, but I still prefer fc5 for its vibes

@@LeuLeumas the enemies just have varying levels if destructable armor like from new dawn which i liked tbh, but they still have similar health pools, just resistances to certain ammo types. "Use the right tool for the roght job" -Juan

@@spacedout4061 I generally carry a LMG with ap rounds. As that's more useful. And a ar/battle rifle with the soft target ammo. ASVAL mag dumping in their head works great. And then the orbiter for helis and other anti armour. And rhe full auto Golden mak for the sidearm. Which is great for drive bys.

If the loot was worth it I'd agree with you, but 90% of the gear is trash you'll never use.

It's fun, makes me feel like i'm improving within the game. Felt the same way with the other games but 6 makes it feel stronger.

Exactly. My buddy and I just take a chopper and go to each drop and while I hover, he collects the drops/goodies.

The loot system is just picking up 1 million of the same things, 3 had flavour to the loot.

I didn't even bring any of my Amigo animals with me they were just annoying and got in my way or would mess everything up when I was trying to stealth my way through an fnd base or something. @@Nick930 - Hey! - I know, it's probably because it's their biggest studio who also do most of the flagship games, and Montreal indeed has done pretty much 90% of "Far Cry", so one can't be blamed for thinking it's once again by them. - It's probably because they were still on "AC: Valhalla" that it moved to Toronto this time around. (I also just noticed that "Watch_Dogs" also went from Montreal to Toronto.) - I also think it's important to make the distinction that Ubisoft consists of multiple studios, as many seem to think it's just this one entity that does everything. - And fun fact; Apparently some studios under Ubisoft even have a rivalry going on, and not a friendly one.

Psyched.Shelby I always look up comparison videos when big games I'm interested in come out, and while there are some cool detail comparison vids, Nick is the only person I've seen who even talks, let alone goes into such depth as he does. He even does the gameplay comparisons now, while he used to only do graphical comparisons. Love this guy

Except he always compared a polished off, updated version of the previous game to the brand new unpatched version of new games. I would prefer a comparison of far cry 5 when it first dropped to far cry 6. Of course the previous version is going to look better and smoother with all its updates and stuff.

Dani even sings along to the song on the radio, a little detail, but makes the character more alive as well

I personally enjoyed the silent protagonist from 5, I was able to apply myself to the character more than if my character was voiced.

Probably because they don't plan on doing a direct sequel like they did with New Dawn where they'd have to carry the character over and would never know if it was a man or woman you chose. I'm fine with this.

That's not what the offset and centered options mean. The options change where your reticle is located, no the were the weapon model is on your screen.

Unlike most games, the water ripple effect looked 3D. Whoever did the water effects for this game need a raise! And whoever did the fire effects for the flamer thrower need fired lol

Yeah AC Valhalla already had one of the best water i had seen but this looks even better. Ubisoft is honestly the gold standard of the industry for the moment when it comes to water (except for that horrible Watch Dogs Legion water), although if the gameplay demo for Horizon forbidden west was real that would be the new peak for that.

Yeah the water effects are pretty nice. I like that they added 3D waves for larger shorelines, and it feels great when jumping in water.

Give me one good reason how it looks cartoonish. Brighter doesnt automatically mean cartoonish. Both games look realistic with FC 6 looking even more real. Nick even mentions this in the video. What part looks cartoonish? The trees? The vegetation? The roads? The cars? The weapons? What does the word cartoonish mean in this context?

@@brucew565 dude chill hahaha, I think it's the heavy saturation that's doing it for me. Like it's stunning, but all the colours are so bright and saturated it feels unrealistic.

I've been waiting for a true vietnam game for decades now. Battlefield Vietnam was the closest we've gotten. And I guess Vietcong or that Red Orchestra spin off. Still would love a full fledged Vietnam experience.

@@Nick930 Looks like a Vietnam based game, is gonna come more likely from Battlefield Portal mode. A lot of games tried to do a Vietnam based game like Mafia 3 tried, Cod CW tried, even Far Cry 5 dlc tried. But still not a single triple A game did what you said, I've been waiting too, specially a open world game based on vietnam and the Farcry 5 dlc and Mafia 3 is the closest one we get.

@@Nick930 Rising storm 2 was an excellent Vietnam game but I suppose you mean this one by saying red orchestra spin off. Also mafia 3 had the closest feel to Vietnam era eventhough biggest part of the game was on new orlean. But there were a few missions at Vietnam plus the music, guns and cars, even at new orlean, gave you the same feeling that you are on the Vietnam era.

there is in FC5 DLC, but i think for something new they could make a country invasion plot, but yeah they will nver make something like Vietnam/Iraq/Afganistan etc because US is should be the enemy as they invade the country, so Ubisoft scared to do that

fc5 had shit water, Ac odyssey had the most beautiful looking water even tho as a AC game it was doo doo. Even valhalla has dirty england water but it still looks beautiful

FC 5 is the best for me to. I liked the crazyness. I like it even more than 3. I started playin 6 now lets see how it goes.

@@eagleforce4116 I didn't even finish it because it's crazy repetetive and the world for me was dead. Also the story, npc and characters is boring and the same over and over. They tried to make the game woke aswell.. Some seems to like the game so hopefully you'll get a good experience

@@spartacussmith7070 No, the landscape and climates are different. If you want to compare FC3 to a different island compare it to FC1 or Instincts since they take place in Micronesia which is pretty close to where the Rook Islands take place.

The problem to me is not the bullet sponges, is the way it forces you to use this type of ammo, you are forced to use one different for each of the four slots if you want to kill everything on your way, that means you will end up empty of ammo faster on some types of ammo, I think ammo should be added as a wheel selector for every weapon, so you can change ammo when you need it, not mod the ak for armor pearcing and be stuck with that XD. It's nonsense.

Yeah that mechanic still concerns me.

Personally, just stick to armour piercing. Most enemies are armoured and enemies that aren’t can be ripped apart anyways (headshots too)

That and the leveled up enemy thing. The last game i played like that got so annoying i just stopped playing. Idk why this game even needs that

Facts. I filled mine up too quickly as well. And I must say that I did enjoy FC5 immensely.

I think he meant the whole process of "do random side activities" and "get kidnapped constantly" was the tedious part, not that it took too long or anything.

It either took forever to fill or too quickly. It felt unnatural as well. With random snatching and the "chosen" would only activate per region Here when you clap someone. It makes the ENTIRE island go into a higher alert status. Not just your local area. And they're are still patrols. Which I like. 5 after you beat one the entire area was empty. No more enemies. Here you do it there's more. They're far more aggressive.

I thought that the first time I played FC5. The difficulty setting should determine how quickly or how slowly the resistance meter fills up. On replays I purposely do not rescue townspeople in vans or other events that fill up the resistance meter just so the whole thing lasts longer.

FC5 is definitely the shortest far cry game for me due to how quick the resistance meter fills up. The main problem for this is the side activities like saving a civillian, blowing up a cult vehicle or killing a cult VIP. They all give too many points. If I can get 400 points for liberating an outpost but get 50/100 points everytime I save a civillian or kill a high value target, that starts to add up quick. I'd also argue that the total amount of points needed to complete a region is also too low as it doesn't give you enough time to enjoy each mission (not to mention some missions can be flat out missed). I had only explorered half of jacobs and faiths region before the resistance meter was filled leaving several missions unplayed. Most players after completing a region wouldn't care to go back and do the missions they missed because there's no more feeling of progression when more can be done in another region. That's my biggest problem with this game. Even if there's mods that alter the resistance points rewarded, a casual player wouldn't use this. This wouldn't be a huge issue if all the cult spawns didn't disappear after liberating a region

@@arnavjoshi7047 for me the weird part of it in FC5 was that the crosshairs were in the lower third of the screen instead of centered. Some other games that did this were Halo 3 and Halo Reach. Recently, Deathloop had the lowered crosshairs. Most modern FPS games have centered crosshairs. I prefer centered. Lowered crosshairs make it look like you’re looking slightly up to the sky all the time.

Let's be honest though it was both fc5 and 6 were absolutely garbage compared to fc 3 and 4. 3 was honestly the best and had much MUCH more to do than the later installments.

Just load armour piercing rounds in all your weapons, and you’re good to go against all enemies. I’ve never used the “soft target” rounds on anything. The poison, fire and explosive rounds come in handy, occasionally. Also, you can swap out fully modded weapons, on the go, so have one weapon set up with armour piercing and another weapon, in reserve, with whatever ammo you need… it’s like being able to change ammo, but you’re changing the whole weapon

I have never had a problem. This video is really extreme. You don't need different ammo for different enemies. Play the game yourself and you'll see. Such a shame peopel let 1 video make decisions for them.

Far Cry 6 and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, for example, can legitimately be mistaken for each other. We are seemingly edging closer and closer to the Ultimate Ubisoft Simulator.

I can tell u which versions are better. The series x is at a higher resolution than the ps5 and slightly more colorful. The ps5 version is at slightly less resolution but same frame rate and the ps4 and xbox one version are the same.
