Give Michael Mando an Oscar, right now. Vaas is literally some of the best acting I have ever seen in my life. If there is any justice in this world, he's won an award.
Dude u r totally right I have played many games but his acting here and voice acting is so in tense its like he's actually immersing himself into the game like he's actually Vaas
That's cause he is vaas. Many people don't know it but the actor who does vaas was the reason vaas exsisted. During preproduction the actor did a audition and they liked it so much they created a character in forcry of him. Look up the voice actor they are the same
@@MementoTurtle did i ever tell you the definition of insanity? insanity...is making the same joke, over and over and over, expecting different results
No matter how many times I have watched this or with how old it is, I never get tired of seeing this lmfao. Vaas is probs gonna be my fave villain for a long time.
@@jojideluxeedition1898 So, when I say he's my fave villain it's like someone else saying Joker is their fave villain. Or Darth Vader. Yeah, they're our fave villains but obviously we gonna root for the good guys cuz we don't ACTUALLY wanna see the villain torturing someone or whatever. They're our face villains cuz they got character. And if they were real we definitely wouldn't want to meet them in person. Well, maybe some might, I cant speak for every villain lover. Also, halfway through the game you do end up killing Vaas. No spoiler alert cuz this game has been out for YEARS. And you learn more about him and his backstory as well. He might not have actually been as fucked up as he was if not for his sister doing what she did cuz wooooh boy she was even crazier and fucked up then Vaas.
@@jojideluxeedition1898 Eh, from your first comment it sounded like you didn't know about the game so 🤷♀️🤷♀️ also, why the hostile attitude? I never made it seem like you're an idiot, I just go on rants. But if you want it to make you sound like one then all you have to do is re-read the first half of my comment since your comment also made it sound like just because someone likes a villain, they want them to win.
Michael Mando as Vaas Montenegro in Far Cry 3....was the best decision Ubisoft ever made. Michael did not act as Vaas, _HE WAS_ Vaas. This little short video series he did shows that. His acting was spot on and he should voice act for video games more often. Mando, where are you man? The gaming community misses you...you're too good for movies and television shows. Move onto gaming hermano...come on man....
Accually, the concept for the original Vaas was a large brute, whos model they used for the pirate...erm....the big ones, I forgot the names. Anyway. He originally was going to be a big, semi-intelligent brute, but when Michael tried for the part, he changed it and they liked it so much that they made a model after him, and based him on the general character he had acted out. At least, that's what I heard shortly after the game was released
Man it’s hard to think that this same guy plays Nacho Varga in Better Call Saul lol. Michael Mando is truly something special, hope he gets even more roles in the future, video games, movies, shows, anything.
Here here! I came to this video after seeing him in Better Call Saul! I wish I had found out about him sooner, especially in this role! The change from sympathetic criminal to sadistic torturer is pretty drastic; I hope I see him in a lot more things very very soon. :D
@@Elf_rl I watched the entire thing. Bro story mode video games are made like movies. So basically it's a movie. Like hollywood stuff. Don't worry . Everything was an act.
If they make a Far Cry movie and they hire Michael to be Vaas (of course), he will WIN an Oscar. Just like Heath Ledger (RIP) in The Dark Knight. Amazing job!!!!! He's the reason why I love Far Cry 3!
idk man he himself doesn't make the movie everyone else will have to be on par if hes the only good actor it will still be shit but I would love to see him get the opportunity with an all star cast boss writing and a sweet director I can picture it being dope
I think out of all video game history, Vass is the best video game villan with the best personality, Sure hes insane, but he doesn't even deny it like most villans, he owns that shit. And i doubt any Farcry, or video game can top Vaas
@@meatgrinder9506 Yeah. But that was way back in 2018. But I said about milking GTA 5 when they re-released the game for PS5 and the game in the trailer looks exactly the same as the PS4 version. It has got more dislikes than likes, on both playstation and rockstar channel. It is rare for a company of calbre like Rockstar.
Look at him now. From Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3, to Nacho Vargas on Better Call Saul and Scorpio on Marvel's Spiderman. And, until now, Michael Mando is still thankful that Ubisoft helped him leverage his career thanks to this. What a man!
You can't not give Micheal Mando credit for this role since he made Vaas. He went in for a demo and Ubisoft liked his performance so much they re-wrote the character around Mando's performance, even using his face. If that's not talent I don't know what is.
***** Not entirely true. They scrapped the stoic villain they originally had in mind, and replaced him with Vaas, so in a sense it's still just a dramatic revision. Even so, it's a welcome re-write, and given what I've read about what the villain was originally going to be like, a game saver.
***** The obvious couldn't be more obvious man.. You also want to tell us the color red is also red?. He knows he is the voice actor, everyone knows that. He is saying he deservers award for his character "Vaas"..
SoIoCreep That couldn't be more wrong. He said "Whoever" meaning, he doesn't know who did it. Stop commenting that people are wrong before you read everything carefully.
This is some of the best acting I've ever seen. I love how realistic Vaas is and Michael just makes him so much better. And I like this is before when Jason landed on the island
Dj Cuevas hoyte was pretty aware once jason brody started breaking his shit, he knew it was him right away, somehow hoyte knew at the last level that it was him
Michael Mando is a goddamned national treasure, and Vaas was utterly wasted by not being the final antagonist. Bring the bad boy back for the next game, Ubisoft. We all know he's not really dead.
Vaas looks genuinely sad when he dies, it makes you think of what kind of bond he's formed with some of the people he's captured and how hard it is to kill them. It might be why he let Jason kill him instead of offing him right then and there.
having bonds with people that don't necessarily like you, or want you around is kind of symbolic in a way. Someone in a place of power is always around people that will do anything for them, so it can be interesting to have someone that doesn't.
No,it's just that he takes A LOT of pleasure in fucking with his victims and making them fell like crap. With him dying,he lost the ability to screw with him more and as a result a source of amusement for him.
Chris: Oh shit! Spider on my nose Vaas: what is it? Chris: spider on my nose! Get it off me! *vaas gets the spider off of his nose* Chris: thank you Vaas: you're welcome! XD that was gold
*chris screaming and crying about vaas feeding him his friend.” “No no no it’s Barry’s leg! Say ‘hi Barry!’ Cmon!” He’s treating him like he’s a baby who doesn’t like greens. 💀
did you hear that in the end a pirate said that 6 skydivers land on the island. This means that after the torture he meets Jason and Grant Brody from the Far cry 3 game! so the story continues in the game!
I swear a god Michael is not getting enough fame he deserves! And i still cant believe Ubisoft let so much time pass and ignore the fact that there would be a great FC3 movie starring him. They literally need to hurry and make a movie. I dont doubt it would be succesful if only they cast Michael as Vaas.
I've always wondered who that was buried up to their neck on the beach was... there's even a note about an actor lol. I can't believe I haven't seen this until now lmao.
datboi Jeff yeah what's funny is he didn't actually audition for this role he auditioned for another one and they asked him to do a rehearsal for this one and he found out he was gonna be in the game because his rehearsal was in the trailer
Vaas needs to make a comeback as a easter egg or as a villain again Edit: no I can't see the future and I didn't see this coming him being playable I have far cry 6 just not the season pass yet
CGKase Actually it’s real. If you go to the beach on the game and look on the ground, you can find Christopher’s head sticking up. Then, you get the achievement.
This is my favorite video of all time, Vaas is my favorite character of all time. I just can't get enough of this!! I have at least 4-5 favorite scenes. "BAMBIIII!!!" was one of the things I said a lot That tongue thing Vaas did after discovering Chris was on the island is something I did a lot without realizing "Do you have any f---ing idea how rude that was" was one of my favorite quotes "One time is funny, two times is f---ing annoying" and the part where he "pisses on hollywood" are all just so amazing to me. I'll probably never forget Vaas or Far Cry 3 for as long as I live
