Every city has a 'sense of place' (a spiritual imprint), a 'texture' (the local architectural style, vegetation, landmarks natural and built) and a sense of 'smell'. Eventhough I have never been to Russia, I knew from the first day where Alex went for vacation, from visually recognizing the 'texture' on the video. I'm generally against Trump ever since 2016, (coming from northern Europe, here, not from the US) but also against the US meddling in Ukraine and this stupid, NATO-provoked war. I could see right away in early 2022 that to many people, this looked like an impossible set of positions (("how can you be both against Trump and critical of NATO arming Ukraine?"), but to me they're perfectly okay. There are n*o-cons in both of the US parties and this is a n*o-con, US imperialist war. Actually I would prefer if several European governments could go n front and refuse to stay loyal to this operation. The EU should have told Kiev in advance,, already in 2020/21, that "if you guys jump into a war with Russia we're not going to line up behind you and put Europe at risk", but there are political reasons why they didn't go down that road of course.

Whats hiiden in those NOW numbers, is the innovation and replacement going on behind the scenes, obviously they are planning to replace USA everything. This will take time to feed in, but once it does, there will be NO looking back, Russian sofware/hardware with China will become the BRICS standard, bye bye to ALL America's growth and the sanctions will effectively close the markets to all USA corps and subs. Thanks, Alex, for all of the updates on REAL news and for the many different nation tours. Love this one. Always wanted to visit Moscow and St.Petersburg, even when it was the USSR. Enjoy looking at the orderly people, the CLEAN and above all, SAFE, City streets. Imagine, a city as large as Moscow and able to walk the streets at night and still be safe. Not so in Western countries. Love the people and now can say that I love the Russian leadership. They sre some of the only adults in the room. Certainly few adults in the Western leadetdhip.

and yet even in Soviet Union those who didn't want to serve due to their pacifist view or were from small nations - were given "alternative service", which meant working in the community doing some helpful work, like drivers, workers, etc. Of course not ideal, but at no mean it was discrimination. They would get record of service and would not need to leave home, it would usually be in their own community. Alternative service is still there.
