Glad to see it's not a sad ending, but rather you taking the time to fulfil your ambitions. It's cool to see you always on the move with new projects. Hope books go well for you!
I am very happy that you managed to find your way to express yourself, even if it means that I won’t see new RU-vid content. As someone that finds hard to express myself because my depression I know it’s hard and I wish you all the success and happiness in the world! :)
Thanks a million! You've been there since the beginning and I won't forget that, I hope you work through your depression I too understand how difficult it can be.
I stumbled onto this channel randomly while looking for good MegaTen content, and I'm happy to see you're walking away from creating RU-vid content in good spirits. As a mental health professional, I have seen people accomplish amazing things when they take a break from, or outright give up, social media. Productivity goes through the roof, as does mental health and overall emotional well-being. This video is nice proof of that. Congrats on publishing your book. If you ever return to RU-vid, many of us will be here to watch you.
This so awesome to hear, and I thank you for the kind words. I really did need to step away in order to pursue other avenues. I'm truly grateful that you understand.🙂
I feel like RU-vidrs like you think to much on things why not just make videos when u want just choose you first an do stuff that you like when you feel like it you gonna end up being miserable if you just dont relax an do what you want when u want I got a kid to she ant stop nothing I like to do
Maybe you're right, but this is something I wanted to do. I enjoyed youtube back then, but not as much now. So I much rather tackle a different goal in my life. LOL and don't worry im not miserable, just looking to do new creative things.
Congrats on the book, that is awesome! Sad to see the videos end but I totally understand where you're coming from. All the best and good luck with the next book.
It's been a blast. I remember subbing to your channel back when I was in highschool and I always enjoyed the chill and cozy vibes your videos gave off. I'm gonna keep up with your new twitter and creative endeavors. Wishing you the best in whatever you do.
Hey, just discovered your channel after seeing your comments on one of my videos. Too bad I missed you, but it sounds like your on to bigger and better things. On the plus side, I can now watch your back catalogue of videos, which seem to be my kind of content, delivered in a mature and intellectual style- a definite rarity on today's RU-vid. Best of luck to you with your creative endeavors. Pursuing creative projects in today's culture is difficult, but immensely rewarding. It is one of the last realms of freedom and agency we have.
Ah, you found me! Hope you enjoy the videos I've made. Some of them were inspired by your style of video, to be honest. Whenever I wasn't in an editing mood, I adopted your way of doing it. Anyhow, I'm about 60% done with writing my new novel, and I've been debating on coming back to RU-vid periodically. However, to still support the import collecting community, another creator and I teamed up and started an Import collecting blog - guiltyimporters.blogspot.com/ Feel free to check it out when you have time, I know being an adult time is finite.
I started watching your videos when i started my smt journey and also recommended manga to you and discovered new manga thanks to you, wish you the best on whatever you wish to do
Always loved your art! It's cool seeing you get into novels like this too. Games are fun, but making things has been far more exciting for me as well. Around 6 years ago I remember watching a Persona video of yours and visiting the comment section for no real reason. I met my best friend there whom I have been in contact with ever since. It's crazy for me to think that I've not only known him for that long, but that I've also been watching you for roughly the same amount of time. It's something you don't think about until it really hits you. I'm pretty glad where I'm at now though and it's nice to see you going places too!
Wishing you the best my friend, It was a pleasure get to talk to you on the funnerynerd podcast. If you ever do decide to return, I’ll be there to welcome you back.
I’m happy for you. Nothing lasts forever-including us-so we have to be who we’re meant to be, not who we were. Kelela has a song called “Better,” about moving on (the song is based on breaking up with someone she cares about) in which she says “we cut, and we grow.” Let your energy flow into what matters most. That’s why we all need our boundaries. The bonsai tree is made beautiful because of all the ways it’s been cut. When we visualize a better version of ourselves, our old skin needs shedding-not because it’s bad, but because the time has come. 🕊️✌🏾
Been rocking with you since your go4broke days, when you and your friends would play games together. It has been a great pleasure watching you evolve brother. Wish you the best with all your future endeavors, know you finna knock it out the park! go4broke my guy.
Cool, I also self published (non-fiction) way back and working and didn't play any games for several years. Good to get that stuff done so you can relax later. BTW, there's a typo on the Amazon description. "they're works of literature"
What? no! what? no! what? :P Edited: Hey good luck with your new creative path!! I like a lot your musical side too. Keep up the good work. We'll miss your videos but we'll be here!
This video just popped up in my feed. As an artist dealing with mental illness, I'm not sure what you're going through, nor am I a big fan of SMT, but I wish you luck with your writing. I do not have much money to my name, but I purchased The Fancy Bizarre just now, and from what I read in the intro, I think I'll enjoy it.
Farewells are always very saddening, but it also leads to new beginnings, so to speak. And with your new book and life under the pin as a Author, that is fantastic to hear! I will definitely be checking out your book and future works, even if not related to SMTalks, I would like to continue following your works now under Umbra. If you did decide to return one day discussing Megami Tensei, JRPGs, and or gaming in general; many, including myself will look forward to your comeback. Nonetheless, I wish you the best of luck your future endeavors.
Wish you all the best man, discovered your channel a short bit ago and it's been great watching your content, cheers, been starting a new journey with my life as well as a gamedev
Good luck on pursuing your path into writing. It sounds like you got a passion there and I can understand having to tune things out and focus to write books. I love to read, but writing is on another level so I admire you being able to do that. I like the subject matter you are diving into so I am curious to check out your book! I have not been in here much in the past but was fun podcast you were on and having you in the chat!
