It’s also the last day it’s known as the Joondalup line. I remember when I was at the opening from Perth to Joondalup, it was called both ‘Fastrak’ & ‘Traklink’, exciting time, currambine was yet to open and got cardboard models of the A series.
@@lawrence.lee6 How is it the longest? All of them were approximately 10 years except Joondalup itself but this one was slightly less than both Currambine and Clarkson
In an age of conservative economic policies, infrastructure that's not used regularly will be removed. Why? Because maintaining it costs $$$. And any government seen to be being wasteful, will be targeted super hard by our corporate media. And ain't no government wants that. Also name badges breed a more cordial community when you have a large staff. So yeah, it's not really for the passengers. Although if by some strange reason you bump into a driver waiting on an ordinary platform, and have a railway question or something, you can say Hello Mark. ~smiles~
