Hong Kong was very fortunate to be ruled by the British. Their Empire was the greatest the world has ever known. All their colonies were very lucky to have the British as their rulers. I know, I'm from Zimbabwe.

I know some friends from Hong Kong as well and I have to say that their ideas are more British. And that is because people there receive British education since they were born. I am not criticizing Chinese ideology but some time I find that we are too "blind" for some issues. I can understand people being patriotic but we should keep our eyes open. To be respected by other people, we have to first show our respect to other people ideas.

I can't fully agree with you sir. I am a Chinese and I am study in UK. There is one thing that I learned here is that people shouldn't be judged by their color. I have a friend who is physically Chinese but educated in UK from primary school. He is very proud of being British and he hate people call him Chinese.

@skyflame000 I went there when I was a teenage boy in 1970 and I found it was better, clean road, pavement, everything was fine but now HK was getting very dirty and even worse. Unfortunaretly we will not return to HK so you have no choice but you must respect Chinese rule for many years to come.
