You weren’t at a bruins game until Rene Rancourt sang the anthem. Bruins fans my age don’t know anyone but him kicking off a game with the stump pump!!! Most iconic moment definitely had to be after the marathon bombing, and he only sang 5 words, he knew enough to let that moment take over. His first anthem gig in Boston.., game 5 of the 75 World Series.....the Fisk homer game!!!

Always loved around Christmas time, the christmas songs he would sing during intermissions. A fond memory for alot of our childhoods right into adulthood. Let's hope the boys give him a nice long going away postseason run
I was pretty teary-eyed watching this. My grandpa and I watched Rancort for many years and always loved the fist pump. You just weren't watching a Bruins game until he gave the fist pumps. Hope he has a happy retirement. Go B's!
I met him at a local hockey rink and got to wear his Stanley cup ring. the classiest guy you will ever meet in your life, and a blast to talk to. Good luck in retirement you sure have earned it.

Miss you Mr rancourt you were the best saw you many times over the years a few at the old barn and many at td garden as I am 38 years old stared seeing my current gf in 2013 and got her addicted to hockey and we have been to many games both regular season and a few playoff games but her first couple games live you did not sing that nights anthem and she was so disappointed but finally I believe the 3rd game we went to together she finally got to hear you live. Figure Rene's last reg. season performance into it among other reasons to kick ass and the way they came out in the 1st last night is all the more disgraceful.
