South West Trains was the operator of the South Western franchise from 4 February 1996 until 19 August 2017. It operated one of the largest and most complex networks in the UK with almost 1,700 trains per day. The principal trunk line of the network is the South Western Main Line out of London Waterloo.
This film pays tribute to South West Trains, which provided a fantastic service with a very nice fleet of trains. The film shows a busy weekday afternoon at Brookwood and Woking stations, which are both on the South Western Main Line. Brookwood is a smaller station, while Woking is a busy hub.
On 20 August 2017, the franchise was taken over by South Western Railway.
