I’d love to see the LUAS Network extended, but I feel that it can only work best if all private cars, including taxis and EV’s, are just totally banned from the City Centre, as congestion charging simply does not work - multi storey car parks should be banned and those that exist should be converted into secure parking for bicycles and motorcycles - anyone living less than 50 miles from Dublin or any city centre simply does not need a car, so insurance companies, driver licensing bodies, vehicle registration, road tax etc, should not be providing any services to any postcode area that is within the 50 mile restriction area
You should come back for another visit. Caltrain has electrified their tracks and bought a fleet of Stadler KISS train sets. Caltrain's Stadler train sets are testing now and will be starting passenger service in fall 2024.
The IRT platforms are the only platforms of this station to not be wheelchair-accessible. This is because the sections of the platforms that are directly below the mezzanine are too narrow to fit elevators. However, the MTA could install ramps instead. 42nd St-PABT’s platforms are more than wide enough for elevators and yet, have no elevators but ramps. So if there’s no room for elevators but ramps going in a spiral or similar can fit, they should be built instead.
